honestly thanks so much for all the great content! I just picked up sfv recently, not being big on fighters beforehand and was struggling to find help learning the game and learning chun until I stumbled across your videos. I'd be completely lost without them!

Thanks! Though it's mostly just hours and hours training mode and friendlys for me at the moment since im pretty new to SFV. Really trying to get that bnb sbk down to 100% success, wasn't able to do it at all on sunday and am now able to do it with a pretty solid success rate but i feel like i get sloppy after 1-1 and a half hours in training mode lol.
Anyway, thanks again, id be really lost and have probably quit chun if not for your videos.

jump in hk/hp, b.hp xxx kkn, vt, dash, b.hp, hrk (m), cr.lk, hrk (l,m) xxx ca ofc your vt kkn #05 would be optimal here but its an easy alternativ.
b.hp (counter), vt, cr.mp, st,mp, st.hk, hrk (ex) or ca
corner: her down forward high kick combos into st.hp on counter hit if you are jumping in the corner pretty useless aside for style combos i think but interesting
corner: vt, st.hk (cc), st.hk, st.hk, f.mp, st.hk, cr,hk
corner: b.hp (cc), vt, st.hk, f.mp, st.hk, hrk (ex) or cr.hk or ca

I always love your videos. Have you considered a full on tutorial on how to play Chun so that newer players may be able to get on the path to becoming the strongest woman in the world?
I may do general concepts in the future to help understand characters and game mechanics better. Full-on character specific guides may be a little tricky as every player has different style and intent, added to the fact that things may change drastically every balance patch (cough cough S1 to S2). I do plan to keep releasing tech videos such as the Hakkei counter option video so players can choose to add it in their arsenal. If you have specific questions, feel free to ask on here, Facebook or whatever other avenue!

Regarding combos, it may depend on your skill level, charge character familiarity and style. Are you new to the character? The game? The fighting game genre?
Out of the SFV cast, she is probably one of the harder characters to play. I remember a poll on SRK where she was voted 2nd hardest character to play after Ibuki. Whether or not she's good for you ultimately depends on what you want from the game and your ideal play style. In my opinion, (for S2) she is suited for a patient counter-poke style with occasional aggression. If that is something you want to pursue, I'd say go for it. Through my experience, a good portion of damage comes from pokes and bigger damage from combos won't come until you've made your opponent scared or countered them into favorable situations. I would focus on the spacing and timing of your pokes (such as s. HP, b./f. MP, s. HK, s. MK) while learning the basic 3F/4F start up combo and a few of the poke to VT cancel combos (c. One question: what's the best way to do the s.LP or s.MP right into SBK? I find this so difficult to do but I've seen pro players do it consistently. What's your advice?

I don't blame you. I wouldn't have thought of it if I didn't make these videos. I don't think it's common for a player to jump at that distance unless it's a hard read.
Regarding fighter ID, I rarely play online so I don't have much of any replays (if only we had local replays like sf4). However the team here is going through some transitions so once that is settled, we might do some streaming in between site development and video creations.

By the way, which of these combos are the best for shimmys? I think it's kinda hard to do shimmys with her because it looks like we need to have a good confirm. When I shimmy is just with s.HP or cr.mk to HRK
c. MK to HRK (EX), walk back forward throw is some of it. I haven't experimented too much but b.HP may work as well. Although I prefer walking forward after a blocked jab or s. MP and doing a frame trap with c. LP/s. MP/b. HP/f. HK/iaHRK. It gets you more combo options without having too much difficulty hit confirming.

VT KKN #05? You have to cancel HRK (L) late from c. HP. Delaying the c. HP-> HRK (L) makes Chun move forward enough to let c. LP connect.
I just tried yesterday and I did it :) but timing is rly difficult and if u connect that combo after Vtriger activation reward is awful. I already cant believe such a hard combos deserves more dmgs. Thnks for your help
Andrew ALV the combo timing is very difficult and may be a 1 frame delay timing. Hopefully she'll get some damage back in the future patches. Good luck on your combo!
When doing (shimmy) st.MP>cr.MK would you say L SBK is more viable than M?
From what we know, there is not enough charge time for SBK (M) to connect unless s. MP is buffered with something (i.e. c. LP, dash). So we would say in the case of shimmy s.MP, the only viable option is SBK (L).
how to charge the SBK when s.LP ? I dont understand ....plz help ..

The most ridiculous thing about Chun-Li is, her jumping HP is crouch block-able, like seriously, since season 1 and they never thought to fix that?!

Things have changed quite a lot since this patch. Some may work, some may not and there may be more optimal routes.

@@yuarthur455 Unfortunately that is something I cannot directly answer since there are many factors when it comes to these things (such as what your opponent is doing, what your play style is, you and your opponent's skill level, etc.) Usually when you're having trouble against a certain character, the focus should be on how you approach neutral and calculate risk reward. Optimizing combos can come later, as long as you get the proper set ups. I suggest checking out places like Discord and streams to get help on how to approach the match up.
