Came back to this years again years later because it's honestly one of the best guides I've ever seen. I know some of its out of date now but most still tracks. Nice work
this is such a great video. everyones been so caught up on her flashy bomb mixups that nobodys really addressed her basics, this is great. thank you so much
Oh my god, I need to up my Ibuki training. Been messing with her for days and while I gradually get better, this guide will certainly help me in my quest.
Great vids as always. Ibuki's pretty dense with the tech, I'm liking it. I was initially more hyped for Balrog but I think I'll end up having more fun with her.
Few things I left out: • Vskill is really good at the end of a string since it doesn't move your hurtbox forward and gives you meter for Vtrigger. • Best time to reload a kunai is after airthrow, h.raida, or a CC sweep, although sometimes even those aren't safe to something like a Guile EX Fireball, so try not to use up all your kunai on pokes. • You can replace medium command dashes with light command dashes for a fake crossup on the bomb setups. Also some of the text colors can't be contained.
Amazing guide man! If an ibuki main utilises all of this stuff and people see it in tourneys and online people will start saying she's top tier. Again, amazing guide.
hey PAN Im really kind of a beginner i only have about 100 hours on the game. i followed your cammy guides and i got really good at her. now im trying to learn ibuki, and it is really mindboggling. where do i start? can you give me like a few easy setups to learn just to get myself started.
great guide. i will save this for later after I can get down ibuki basics. I just ran through her trial and now I'll hit up training mode to get muscle memory for her stuff.
Great guide. I like how you have an outline for general pressure as Ibuki. People keep talking about the bomb setups that learning her neutral gets a bit frustrating.
Really kickass video here! Ibuki looks like so much fun to use 😁 even if my unskilled ass can't get great with her, she is definitely gona be my main alongside Ken. Thanks for the tech and info!
This guide was amazing. I think it's just what I needed to fill in a lot of the gaps I've had. I want to mention 2 things with st.MK > cr.HK > st. HK target combo. Mid screen, if you launch this light kunai as you air dash, you will throw it at the quickest possible time, hitting the opponent right in their ankles, allowing you to follow up with cr.mp > ex ground kunai. It's scarier in the corner because instead of going for the early or late cross up, you can land the meaty light kunai and follow up with both st.MP or cr.MP. Let me know what you think.
So this is why the ibuki's i faced this morning were so damn vicious. I can point to at least 6 of these exact set ups being used on me by some people. I'm willing to bet this video is responsible. This is some solid tech and i'm PROOF this shit works in game. I was like, "why is ibuki giving me so much hell?". Great video....now i know what to look for.
I'm going to be honest here...SF5 streamers and you tubers need to take notes on this video. Everyone loves a good combo video but this gives you the tools to effectively utilize the character in the neutral, which happens to be the most important part of this game. Good stuff
Great video, don't know how I haven't seen it til now! A lot of people still sleeping on this character when she has tons going for her. Very solid pressure, some good buttons, and great mix-up potential with V-Trigger or a bit of meter. She jusy requires good resource management to be played effectively, which a lot of people don't want to learn, therefore she's supposedly ass. I wouldn't mind seeing an EX kunai refresh to give her full safely, I don't see that being broken considering how useful meter is for her too, but as is she is a viable character. In some ways, she's almost like Capcom's take on a Guilty Gear character.
absolutely amazing video! I really wanted to main ibuki but I didn't know how to utilize her tools. this video helped a ton so thank you. Are you thinking of doing anything on Balrog? That'd be cool.
Easily the ONLY good Ibuki video with valid tech I've seen thus far. Excellent video. Haven't been able to say that much in the FGC as a lot of people come up with gimmicky day 1 stuff and think its solid. This stuff is concrete and real.
OMG! I was feeling myself because i was posting some Ibuki tech videos on day 1 but you completely destroyed me with this vid. I will def incorporate those pressure strings in my game. Thx a lot! Btw, do you have a twitter account or something?
I've been grinding on my Ibuki as of the last few nights and I feel my execution is very solid (maybe should practice more v-trigger setups)... I have a problem with my gameplan with her. I often find myself having trouble to anti air or feel like my buttons aren't as good as my other opponents (trouble especially with characters like Necalli, Bison and even Birdie). I feel this comes from my gameplan and the fact that I try to be upclose to my opponents way too much. Should I always aim to keep the neutral game (and fish my mixups with her good pokes and kunais)?
Pan what you think about the Shimmy with her s.Mk after jab or s.Mp? Is easier to confirm than going in for a frame trap; and you can go to vtrigger combos if you shimmy with s.fierce or c.Mp +PAN
dude...my puny fukin brain is too dumb to follow along with all this and actually retain all the info....soooooo ima bookmark this vid and take small amounts at a time til its all bad habit muscle memory status lol, very nice video though,im loving all the nice ibuki info^^
From what I've seen of frame data - all versions of Raida have have the same frames. So why wouldn't one use HP Raida all the time? It's only 20 extra damage, but still, might as well take it.
How much of this still applies since she's been hit with the nerf hammer in arcade edition, I'm asking cause I'm thinking of picking this game up and I want to main her
@@PAN-- that's so lame. I used to love her...but they messed it up with her ex kunai. Her pressure was all about this move...ex kunai into dash and others gimmicks.
Go into training mode and set block to random, practice confirming that combo over and over, it is definitely possible! It helped me to start with two hit confirms like jab xx strong xx fierce on hit and jab xx strong xx short on block. You can do it!
A frametrap is, in essence, a method of tricking your opponent into thinking they have time to respond to a move you've pushed without them realizing that your recovery frames are less than theirs. Meaning you've forced them into a position where if you use a move with less startup than their recovery, you could get a counter or possibly a crush counter.
Came back to this years again years later because it's honestly one of the best guides I've ever seen. I know some of its out of date now but most still tracks. Nice work
this is such a great video. everyones been so caught up on her flashy bomb mixups that nobodys really addressed her basics, this is great. thank you so much
I'm gonna have to hit the training mode for like a solid 4 months to master Ibuki.
This is seriously one of the best SF instructional videos I have ever seen. Great job.
this video is still helping me out months later, i cannot thank you enough for making this excellentlly done video!
Very nice, will fav this!

Thanks!
This is hands-down one of the best guides I've seen of SFV thus far. Thank you for creating it!
I absolutely love your SF vids and having picked up Ibuki, I was hoping you'd do a guide on her. This came at a perfect time; appreciate you
So much info packed into so few minutes. Awesome tutorial.
Im learning Ibuki these days, so once again thanks for another great video mate :)
Thanks man!

one of the best SFV character guides out there. good shit bro!

Amazing guide man!

Again, amazing guide.
you also forgot to mention v-trigger combos off crush counter sweep (you can blow up the bomb with ex-kunai for juggle)
Rean2000 :O thats cool I didn't think of that.

This is literally one of the best guides I've seen! Great job!! Instant subscribe and like.
Really kickass video here! Ibuki looks like so much fun to use 😁 even if my unskilled ass can't get great with her, she is definitely gona be my main alongside Ken. Thanks for the tech and info!
Just started learning Ibuki today, great vid man. Gonna go over all this info and learn it.
Dude you are a BEAST! This is simply amazing. Now all I've gotta do is learn it all :D
Amazing!!!!! I recently started playing ibuki and this is really really really helpful. Thanks a lot!!
greatest SFV tutorials eevarr 12/10
omg it's a great stuff right there. I cant believe it. it's so complete i have to train it out ! Thanks a lot ! favorite video !

I like this! The stuff you can do in the corner with this is pretty scary. Makes me wish I could put this in the video lol.
Great job! Very easy to follow guide. I might not ever pick up Ibuki, but this video was entertaining and informative nonetheless!
That was AMAZING. Thank you so much for putting this together!
Thanks for tech man. Really useful stuff! Hope to see more!

Okay this is the best ibuki vid on the internet
This video is a godsend, thank you so much.
Great video! I think the setup at 6:47 only works if they're crouching. If they're just standing or holding back the bomb will whiff.
Amazing job man. You the real mvp
dude this is so sick! great job again man
Nice stuff, man. I like the editing as well.
Best practical guide, thanks!
This is ALL i need to be a better ibuki player, screw the in-game tutorial. way more informative, thank you.
awesome was almost ready to give up on her you changed my mind :D
Amazing work, thank you very much!
So fast ;_; awesome vid. A lot of it is legit. Wish I had a video like this 4 days ago LOL. Would've saved me so much time.
Dude. That was amazing
Awesome Guide! You should do it for more Characteres in that way!
Awesome video, really good job mate
This is amazing and super helpful!
sick video man, i hope you make more for other characters!
Amazing video Pan!
this is all I need. thanks man.
Great vid very helpful even for noobs like me. Now on the lab to apply all of this. Thanks for making my life easier :)

Great stuff man. I just came across your channel for the first time today. You got a fav and a new sub. Looking forward for some more tech.
Thank you so much for this!
THE VORTEX NEVER STOOOOOOPS
Amazing guide!
Mind I ask you where did you get this song from? It seems that I can't find an offvox version anywhere. Can't find a link to buy it either. Thanks !
doujinstyle.com/archives/2750 Its (番傘とショウジョウセツ) album
Thanks a lot Pan-sensei!
Great job, great edit
This bugs me a little and I want to know why kunai reload is a half circle. There is nothing on qcb+k so why not that instead?
So.. what I learned is Ibuki with v trigger is the comeback queen
good shit u understood the character pretty quick ggs
So huh can you do this for Balrog?
OMG! I was feeling myself because i was posting some Ibuki tech videos on day 1 but you completely destroyed me with this vid. I will def incorporate those pressure strings in my game. Thx a lot! Btw, do you have a twitter account or something?

Lord thank God I found this video a year after, what video editing software did you use to make this. It's so clean
Wouldn't happen to have a text version like your other video? :)
I was looking for a character with useful and safe target combos. Maybe I'll try her.
Hers are really good!
I wouldn't call her target combos safe, she has like 2 of them but if they hit they are amazing.
This is good stuff.
Pan what you think about the Shimmy with her s.Mk after jab or s.Mp? Is easier to confirm than going in for a frame trap; and you can go to vtrigger combos if you shimmy with s.fierce or c.Mp
+PAN
For shimmy, I use s.mk most of the time and cr.mp if I want vtrigger or super.
the pacing of this video is so sik!
this might sound stupid but can you see if you could make a video on how to apply all of this to your gameplay (btw I'm a beginner)
ahh crap.. i was just about to release a video with a lot of this stuff :(
Nice work regardless
You should still release it :D
Yeah I will.
Those mix ups you found were awesome though. Definitely something new.
For the crossup meaty would it not be better than mp->mp to do another reset instead of mp mp raida?
I liek the style of your video.
It just went fast af.
insane!!
Nice tech. Subbed.
Circa2020; the first frame trap in the video, did that get nerfed?
dude...my puny fukin brain is too dumb to follow along with all this and actually retain all the info....soooooo ima bookmark this vid and take small amounts at a time til its all bad habit muscle memory status lol, very nice video though,im loving all the nice ibuki info^^
Good video i would say pause the video in between tips then show the example twice.
Or a bit of slowdown with more emphasis on the moves as they come out. Rather than just a quick clip of a combo string and a short amount of text.
From what I've seen of frame data - all versions of Raida have have the same frames. So why wouldn't one use HP Raida all the time? It's only 20 extra damage, but still, might as well take it.
LP raida puts them closer for meaties.
Ah, thanks for the response!
whith the update ibuki will be better ? :)
At 5:11 how do you combo overhead into st.mp? I've tried doing that exact setup but it never works. Only st.lp seems to combo after overhead.
target combo (s.mp > f.mk) has more hit advantage.
Ah I see, I had no idea she had that target combo, cheers!
Pan the MAN
How much of this still applies since she's been hit with the nerf hammer in arcade edition, I'm asking cause I'm thinking of picking this game up and I want to main her
Ex kunai into dash is now -2 instead of plus is the main thing. Rest still works, but I would watch Xian or somebody and just copy him.
Thanks a lot for the info bro
@@PAN-- that's so lame. I used to love her...but they messed it up with her ex kunai. Her pressure was all about this move...ex kunai into dash and others gimmicks.
i lack experience with ibuki and sfv in general (only had it a a couple weeks). anyone wanna run a few sets?
Madness.
Don't mind me. I'm just here for touhou music.
I must train
You mean LK Kasumigake?
Do juri please...
wtf did you do in the beginning? Cancel you fierce sweep into staring fierce kick?
i can taste the salt at evo already
I can't get the 1st frame trap to link at all by that i mean the MP-MK target O_o
lp > mp has to be linked, not using the target combo. Then when mp counterhits, it links into mk.
Ok thank you and for probably the fastest response ever lmao does she have anything from her overhead or lows?
Ninja Genesis overhead goes into st.lp. target combo overhead goes into mk. cr.lk > st.lp for low
+PAN again thank you so much dude
Wow so she only needs 1 bar and V-trigger ready to mess you up. Scary.
Ibuki is overpowered
You're joking, right?
"Mk can be confirmed on hit" How can one confirm from single hit?
Go into training mode and set block to random, practice confirming that combo over and over, it is definitely possible! It helped me to start with two hit confirms like jab xx strong xx fierce on hit and jab xx strong xx short on block. You can do it!
Damn.
So hard!! 😝
W A O WWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING VId!!!! xdfoio
whats a frametrap?
