    FYI: The stats are from S1 and does not represent S2 numbers . However the execution timing, knockdown advantages and general concepts are still the same. It's one of the more mechanically difficult combos in the game but it's quite satisfying when it hits. Good luck!

    Before this video I couldn't even do the SBK(L) version more than once out of 100 tries. Now I just pulled out 4/10 with M(K) in just a few minutes. I think I can nail this now. Thanks!

      Glad it helped. I struggled with the combo a lot so I wanted to share the analysis. It's much easier when you understand the game mechanics behind it. Hope the combo becomes part of your regular arsenal!

      Most cancelable normals have a cancel window. The heavier button usually having the largest. You can clearly see early and late with moves such as b. HP.

    Really great and helpfull video. Miss S1 Chun. Campcom has to bring back her or serious buffs cause no1 play with her even pros droped and loyal Chun players (like me) left the game unlike all others who choose other broken chars.

    Great video. I wanted to pick Chun as my secondary but being unable to perform this combo seems to be a huge road block. Going to try to learn the LK SBK version first and go from there per your advice.

      The SBK(M) version is a 1 or 2 framer with at weird timing so it's quite difficult. I wouldn't fret too much and take it slow, especially if it is your secondary. Most top Chun players didn't even bother learning it until S2 due to its difficulty. The damage is definitely nice but the biggest thing is the knockdown so the light version is still plenty viable (has a much larger cancel window). Good luck!

    I know I'm late, but, can I do st.MP into cr.MK into sbk since sometimes I feel like it is better/more guaranteed if I start with st.MP instead of cr.LP.

      You can do s. MP → c. MK → SBK (L). You'll have cancel c. MK at a later timing than the c. LP starter.
      Additional note: you will not be able to do SBK (M) with the s. MP starter unless you buffer it with something like a jump or dash.

    i cant do spinning bird kick or nay abilities with P/K it works 1 time of 30

      just doing it, i dont know why, the same with kikoken , i dont have this issues with other fighting games , for eexample in mk9 ermac telekinesis was P and it always worked. i check in practice mode and i press the buttons correcly , it only works like 1 out of 10. it sucks

      I don't have much experience in the newer MKs but I remember the moves did not need charge in the MK series. In SF series you need to hold back or down for a period of time first to gain charge then press the opposite direction and whatever button. So hold back or down back for a second or two then press forward punch. Let me know if that works out for you.

    Struggling hard I just want to give up :( never been good with charge characters because of moves like this I just cant seem to do it no matter what

      Are you able to do the light SBK version? That has a larger cancel window. You can even do it without the c. LP buffer (s. MP -> c. MK -> SBK [L]).
      The medium version is a 1 or 2 framer combo so it's pretty difficult. I wouldn't feel bad if it takes time. Majority of the top players like Go1, Ricki and MOV didn't bother learning it until S2.

      I can do the light version about 3/10 times and i've gotten the medium version to cmoe out just once. I couldn't do the light version at all until I saw your video so it's still a big thank you to you! it does make me feel a little better knowing this is an actual difficult combo and not just me being incompetent lol

      I wouldn't worry too much about it. There are people who claim they've gotten it in a few hours and players like Ricki who I've never seen doing it. Just enjoy the game at your own pace.

      True that bro, it just takes practice. Trust me it took me a while to get some of these combos but it's doable just keep trying. And remember at the end of the day it's just a game so enjoy it😁

      This combo is not about losing charge. This combo is about (1) how fast you can start your charge after inputting s. MP and (2) how late you can cancel c. MK. Don't think about charging during your c. LP.

      But the time is way too short to charge between stmp and crmk or otherwise the dummy'll block crmk first in order to get the fully charged light sbk for me

      You'll have to buffer the s. MP input while the c. LP animation is still out. This allows you to start charging before the s. MP animation starts.
      In other words, you're still starting the charge after the s. MP input. It's just that the s. MP input (and charge) can be started much earlier than it actually looks.

      It is quite difficult. However you do have the option to do the SBK (L) version. I'd start with that and try to slowly get the timing down for the (M) version. Good luck!
