Ok as someone who is basically now a sale expert (i'm a cheap ass), you are on point with some of these ways to buy games cheaper. However, there are some parts that needs to be considered: - First off, forget completely about Nintendo. They almost never put their games on sale and if they do, it's like 5% or something. BOTW came out 7 YEARS AGO and the cheapest I saw that game was like $40, that's insane. Same thing is happening with the souls games, thanks to the popularity of Elden Ring, they almost never got on sale, and if they do it's ass. DS3 for $40 in a sale for an 8 year-old game it's insane. - Some deals got worse over the time. A lot of those indie games you showed were as dirt cheap as $1.50, like Spelunky and Super Meat Boy, but they never got s low as that, and the Valve complete pack was as cheap as $6. Not anymore. -If you're REALLY that cheap ass (like me lol), there's sites called gg.deals and isthereanydeal where you can see in what places the game you want is cheaper, and they show you a history of the lowest price they've ever sold the game and when. Be careful by keysellers (G2A, cdKeys), and deactivate them on gg.deals so they don't appear, NEVER buy on keysellers. -Be really careful with FOMO. Don't buy games on launch if you're scared of missing out the discussion of the popular game at the time with the rest of the internet. It's not worth it. If you REALLY want to play the game on launch, that's ok, but only if you have the money and you're completely sure the game doesn't suck and it runs fine. Be also careful with FOMO if there is a game that you want and is sold at a historical low, remember the games you already have in your library and try to finish that big ass backlog you probably have there. - Second-hand games are always more expensive than buying the game on Steam, except if that game is console exclusive.

Another way to look for a cheaper price on a game is to look for a bundle on the steam that includes games you may have already bought, since steam usually the prices on the bundle for the individual games are lower than the price displayed on the individual game For example: if you buying a game that is usually $20 that just so happens to be in a double pack bundle that includes one game you own, you could by the bundle for $18 because your buying the game you dont own for the reduced bundle price

About a year ago, within TWO (maybe three now) years since making a Steam account, I discovered this to be a thing when my parents could not keep up with my video-game-collecting habits since I am still not allowed to drive which is why I planned-what THEY denied when I owned a Switch in 2017 for Christmas when Sonic Forces was released (lucky me...)-into investing digital games for convenience sake, especially on Steam, and this absolutely gave me a lot more to play for until I find a proper living despite recently edging it out on my savings through the Summer Sale by going with what *I* would like to play the most because I could not find a part-time job over the summer while still considering college and ONLY coming out of high school at the age of 20. However, this does mean that I am (and always had) practically not legally allowed to buy games that are NOT on sale at least 50% off (worth varies) for until I get off from being a broker and not looking like a big spender, for what that is worth. Keep in mind that I currently own a mostly-manageable PC and Switch, and have considered owning a PS5 and Quest 3, so it could one day considerably go beyond the number of what Foekoe has on his Steam account COMBINED. Speaking of which, I was going to make a joke at 3:11: Steam be robbing ME more than I could rob from THEM at the moment! I pretty much became the victim of the Summer Sale-twice in fact, both 2023 AND 2024-and my wishlist is still considerably huge (560+), ...mostly as half of them I counted do not get on sale to a considerable extent. And one more thing to note is that I recently DID made a Itch account (...for no particular reason 🙄[really, not your usual one]) and found a THOUSAND more; and as it is stated, they are mostly free (as a lot of them are currently in development, as it turns out). For anyone curious to see, my Steam account IS public and has the same name as this account. I will update my showcase when I complete more games! ...Eventually.
Thanks for the dopamine TikTok subway surfers and Minecraft parkour videos hasnt been doing it for me but your videos give me that rush that other stuff don't have
Honestly as someone who simply just doesn't get around to playing games right away, sales are absolutely my best way of getting the most amount of game for my money. But buying games at full price is good for those games that aren't just traditional triple a blockbusters or its a series you know needs support at full price, so it really just depends on how you feel like is most well spent to you
I bought a humble bundle once and got like 80+ games for 20 bucks including Spyro reignited trilogy, Fable, Metro Exodus and a bunch of other solid titles as well as a nice voucher I used to get a piece of art software. PC gaming is excellent simply because of opportunities like that. Plus I don't have to get a new computer every 5 years, just upgrade a component as needed which for most people is not within 5 years but more around 7-10 depending on the component.
Steam Sales aren’t not worth sleeping on. If you want to get some legendary games and DLC for less than a modern game price, those sales are worth to wait for. That and the new customization items you can buy are worth it.
There are only 3 games I've bought at full price in my entire life. They are Elden Ring (and its DLC), Baldur's Gate 3 and Black Myth Wukong. Everything else, no matter how hype it is at launch, I always wait for sale, it's totally worth it and usually the launch time bugs and issues are usually sorted out by the time they go on sale.
here in Brazil, we have nuuvem, bro, usually lego games (which are pretty good) are always at, like, 80% discounts, not to mention things like the Elden Ring DLC releasing there already with discount
For years I've been saying you'll get so much more value out of buying multiple indie games than AAA. If you consider an indie game can cost between 5 to 20 quid and a AAA game costs 70 (Not including the microtransactions, DLC or higher cost editions). That means you can get anything from 3 to 14 indie games for the cost of 1 AAA game and a lot of them have way more to offer. Vampire Survivors, Zortch, Buckshot Roulette and Undertale can all be bought for around 5 quid each and that's not including sales and those games have enough content to keep you going for a few hours each (Buckshot less so as that's just for achievements but still worth it).
Man, love this video... idk why but your videos always give me a certain feeling that I can never replicate no matter what I do, great job man this has to be my favourite video so far ❤
Just play indie games. That’s what I do. AAA games are almost all trash anyways, and indie games are not only cheaper, but the only titles with soul to them anymore. (I mean you probably already know this tho, if I remember correctly you made a video about it) Im not gonna play _120 dollars_ for a soulless cash grab experience when I could pay $30 for the best survival exploration game ever made (Subnautica), $20 for the best platforming experience ever crafted (Celeste) {and free for Sheepy: a Short Adventure WHICH HAS NO ADS OR IN-APP PURCHASES}, $25 for the best boomer shooter ever made (Ultrakill) {and free for the tech demo of Karlson}, $15 for the best Metroidvania ever made (Hollow Knight) {I do like Ori better, but I have to admit that Hollow Knight is the best}, $14 for the best side-scrolling shooter ever made (Cuphead), etc. {and I’m super excited for the full game of Random Access Mayhem} Okay but Sheepy: a Short Adventure is literally a masterpiece and it has nothing that requires money- it has no ads or in-app purchases or loot boxes or ANYTHING it’s one of the best platformers I’ve ever played and it’s FREE WITH ZERO PREDATORY PRACTICES
Not forgetting the time i got all the batman arkham games (except knight whitch i had in ps4) just 15 dollars. 3 triple a quality games with around 20 hours of content each for just 15$. Steam sales are honestly amazing
Steam's sales are both insane and why Steam is a god-tier gamestore/launcher that can't be outclassed. See a game you like? Throw it on your wishlist, and then when a sale happens, Steam will email you, notify you on the steam app and even tell you within steam itself with a notification, "Hey, these games you put on your wishlist a few months ago are on sale - go buy 'em." If you're impatient or unsure, you can look up exact big sale times (summer and winter sales are generally the biggest with the highest discounts) but honestly you don't even need to know sale dates - Steam will just tell you when they happen (and they usually throw in incentives to go looking for deals, like daily chat stickers for checking genres and cards exclusive to that sale for a special badge for Steam XP if you go through your queue each day).
Insane that you didn't make a single piracy joke through the whole video, the self control in display is insane. Respect

The fact that we've reached this number in such a short amount of time is just phenomenal, I'm- I'm just amazed. Thank you all so much for supporting this channel and helping it groW. I-Tlove you guys... You guys are just awesome.
steam sales my beloved
bountiful harvest of foekoe uploads this summer
6:57 i played this game The Were Cleaner and i love it, i seriously recommend this game.
It definitely deserves its overwhelmingly positive rating on steam. I loved it as well.
Absolutely! Just got cyberpunk and ggst daredevil edition for 30$ and 60$, saving 70$!!
I bought Celeste, AntonBall, Rainworld, Undertale and Inscryption( all phenomenal and massively beloved indie games) for like 10 bucks total because I bought them when they were on sale. Best 10 bucks I've ever spent
AntonBall isnt really that popular but for what it is its kinda fun but really short and the online multiplayer is quite laggy from what ive played of it
@@BlueMarioGangsta It's still a cool indie game, popular or not. For example, the demo for Boom Buster, a indie game that should come out in 2025 is an absolute sleeper hit, even tough it isn't popular. You should defiantly try it out.
@@ISwalllowedAFly i did take a look at boom buster before, its not my cup of tea personally
Yeah sales are insane.
For example Behemoth's games when in sale cost like 3 dollars, for example I bought Castle Crushers for 2,99
0:42 Nice congrats on reaching 1k games
Another way to look for a cheaper price on a game is to look for a bundle on the steam that includes games you may have already bought, since steam usually the prices on the bundle for the individual games are lower than the price displayed on the individual game
For example: if you buying a game that is usually $20 that just so happens to be in a double pack bundle that includes one game you own, you could by the bundle for $18 because your buying the game you dont own for the reduced bundle price
I personally picked up hollow knight, Celeste, castle crashers and one piece pirate warriors 4 with a couple dlcs on this sale
castle crashers sale was SO good, in my country it was less than 1 dollar and i had so much fun with my friends beating that game. also hollow knight is the best game i ever played on my life.
The only AAA games i pay full price are the fromsoftware ones, because:
1- They're usually worth the price
2- FS games are pretty much never on sale on xbox ):
"70 dollars" my friend, let me introduce you to old and indie games
foekoe needs no introduction to this subject
He does mention them in the video :P
my friend, let me introduce you to 🏴☠️
Persona is worth that tho
@@jebus4261not always
I literally HAD to buy NFS Heat from the PSN Store because that game is on sale more than its full base price, but I saw it for $3
THREE.
DOLLARS.
And while the writing is High Tier Corporate Slop to the point of Comedy, and the Soundtrack is unquestionably one of the worst I've ever heard for a racing game, the gameplay loop is exquisite, and I'm having a blast playing it.

@@elianhg2144 hey, that reminds me of a certain platform that sells videogames 🤔🤔
I will update my showcase when I complete more games! ...Eventually.
do not question only consoom
you forgot about turbo dismount because the summer sale turned 9.99 to 0.99 THATS CRAZY

Got into Steam last year after buying a Steam Deck. Thanks for all the great tutorials and indie game highlights! :)
Yeah, and we’re going to be in age where video games cost $300 for a one hour gameplay experience
And most of that hour is spent holding up walking and talking in a cutscene
Thanks for the dopamine TikTok subway surfers and Minecraft parkour videos hasnt been doing it for me but your videos give me that rush that other stuff don't have
I like to polish my bald head
Honestly as someone who simply just doesn't get around to playing games right away, sales are absolutely my best way of getting the most amount of game for my money. But buying games at full price is good for those games that aren't just traditional triple a blockbusters or its a series you know needs support at full price, so it really just depends on how you feel like is most well spent to you
Piracy is always the easiest way to save your money.
Acceptable if you have 0 and for AAA.
Not if you have Money or for Indie.
The problem is the assholes who Made viruses

@@elrymoe let people pirate whatever they want, it's already hard enough with Denuvo around.
Emulation 👍
God damn Foekoe on a roll these past 2 months
The Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom was the last video game I have ever pay $70.00 dollars.
Plus I don't have to get a new computer every 5 years, just upgrade a component as needed which for most people is not within 5 years but more around 7-10 depending on the component.
pirate games, pirating games from nintendo is even a requirement
forgot to mention the feeling of self hatred when you buy a game for full price and then the next day it is 75% off.
⬇i love pirating indie games button
Steam Sales aren’t not worth sleeping on. If you want to get some legendary games and DLC for less than a modern game price, those sales are worth to wait for. That and the new customization items you can buy are worth it.
Damn 4 views in 15 seconds fokoe really fell off
Tem um frango frito preso no meu cú
Bru If I see another of these comments I will Peel my whole skin off
There are only 3 games I've bought at full price in my entire life. They are Elden Ring (and its DLC), Baldur's Gate 3 and Black Myth Wukong. Everything else, no matter how hype it is at launch, I always wait for sale, it's totally worth it and usually the launch time bugs and issues are usually sorted out by the time they go on sale.
*He's completely right on this, I bought Civ 6 + one DLC for 3 bucks on summer sale.*
thanks for the video really helped me out!
Question: How Many Game That Have Foekoe Played?
Answer: Yes
the yakuza collection sale is always such a beautiful event
here in Brazil, we have nuuvem, bro, usually lego games (which are pretty good) are always at, like, 80% discounts, not to mention things like the Elden Ring DLC releasing there already with discount
wait till he finds out about piracy
You can currently buy Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair for 90% off. Absolute steal
This video actually helped me a lot! And stopped me from going broke
Man, love this video... idk why but your videos always give me a certain feeling that I can never replicate no matter what I do, great job man this has to be my favourite video so far ❤
1:58 Redfall mentioned, here comes the peak :3
*big respect for not overstimating indie titles and considering company games as always bad*
I am so glad to see someone that also got 1000 and more games and it's mostly because of humble bundle
Just play indie games. That’s what I do. AAA games are almost all trash anyways, and indie games are not only cheaper, but the only titles with soul to them anymore. (I mean you probably already know this tho, if I remember correctly you made a video about it)
Im not gonna play _120 dollars_ for a soulless cash grab experience when I could pay $30 for the best survival exploration game ever made (Subnautica), $20 for the best platforming experience ever crafted (Celeste) {and free for Sheepy: a Short Adventure WHICH HAS NO ADS OR IN-APP PURCHASES}, $25 for the best boomer shooter ever made (Ultrakill) {and free for the tech demo of Karlson}, $15 for the best Metroidvania ever made (Hollow Knight) {I do like Ori better, but I have to admit that Hollow Knight is the best}, $14 for the best side-scrolling shooter ever made (Cuphead), etc. {and I’m super excited for the full game of Random Access Mayhem}
Okay but Sheepy: a Short Adventure is literally a masterpiece and it has nothing that requires money- it has no ads or in-app purchases or loot boxes or ANYTHING it’s one of the best platformers I’ve ever played and it’s FREE WITH ZERO PREDATORY PRACTICES
2:59 DO NOT DISS MY BRO RICOCHET DUDE!!!!!!!
HOW COULD YOU DO MY BOY RICOCHET DIRTY LIKE THAT
2:59 hey why u removed ricochet, its a masterpiece
Debatable tbh
Not forgetting the time i got all the batman arkham games (except knight whitch i had in ps4) just 15 dollars. 3 triple a quality games with around 20 hours of content each for just 15$. Steam sales are honestly amazing
Wait till foekoe realizes that valve sold their complete pack for 5$ back in steam winter sale 2022
Dont forget folks sometimes they are in a bundle which ads a extra discount making them even cheaper
I remember buying reaver, turbo overkill, all of the FEAR games for only 15 CAD$. I had a pretty good couple of months after that purchase.
Steam's sales are both insane and why Steam is a god-tier gamestore/launcher that can't be outclassed. See a game you like? Throw it on your wishlist, and then when a sale happens, Steam will email you, notify you on the steam app and even tell you within steam itself with a notification, "Hey, these games you put on your wishlist a few months ago are on sale - go buy 'em."
If you're impatient or unsure, you can look up exact big sale times (summer and winter sales are generally the biggest with the highest discounts) but honestly you don't even need to know sale dates - Steam will just tell you when they happen (and they usually throw in incentives to go looking for deals, like daily chat stickers for checking genres and cards exclusive to that sale for a special badge for Steam XP if you go through your queue each day).
