To this day I needa ground tutorial. I swear I can hang on the ground but I be getting rag dolled. Sometimes it doesn’t even show me options, another player will just switch and transition within milliseconds
A tip from me if u wanna feel more comfortable hold LB and RT and use the left stick to deny transitions,just memorize most transitions on the ground and you’ll be fine
Yoooo martial how do you do the back drag off the cage takedown into side control I no the denial is up and the other transition denial is down but idk how to do the move and I’m a grappler 😂😂
And assisted grapple you can easily get denied because the game will give you the same position where the opponent just denied you. For ex, if you flick the right stick to the right for ground and pound, your opponent will deny it, you go ground and pound again, the game does not give you a different position after being denied. This is why I never played with assisted grapple.
div 18 with such a bum striking AND grapple assist?! man must've got a REALLY lucky streak. in my experience it's div 12 where people already use fake transitions and on time sways.

I'm only division 4 rn. Every time I play someone division 8 or higher they spam knees and elbows. Especially when I'm doing better. I hate these guys ugh.
So strange to me that people pick the fighters with the best stats and use them in the most bummy ways. I can’t fathom the rationale of these unoriginal mfs as someone who only uses random fighter select & attempts to play sim.
I dont know why they made spinning back fists and elbows so powerful. The damage is fine. Its the negation of every single other punch that annoys me. I doubt many people have ecperienced it, but spinning into a punch can be quite jarring.
@@cool_piglet Yes, elbows and knees are hard hitting. But, they are not uncountable in real life. I have found that spinning backfires, as well as standing knees and elbows, outleverage many other attacks. So if you throw a spinning backfist, its basically garunteed that you win the exchange. And knees and elbows do the same. They're difficult to dodge, difficult to counter, and out leverage many other attacks. So, not exactly like real life. Its an overpowered game mechanic. It is not based in reality.
@@patdeen3960 i agree and disagree. yes, you'll win the exchange with that shit, but it also kinda easy to dodge: you just duck for elbows\backfist (can throw bodyhooks as well) and you (somehow) dodge knees with left ight sways. yes, it's hard to time when it's sudden, but when it's spammed - you know when it's coming.
@@cool_piglet I simply don't see the abuse of these techniques as "realistic". For instance, realistically, I could check a leg kick, while holding my guard high in case it's a high kick. So, the blocking isn't a simulation of reality. It's a game mechanic. Same as the standing knees, and spinning backfist. It's an overpowered game mechanic, not an accurate simulation of reality. In reality, I could block the knee with one hand, while I strike over the top with the other. I cant do that in the game. In reality, I could block that spinning back fist with my right arm, while I land my own left hook. Again, I cannot do that in the game. So, by limiting my defense, they created an overpowered attack.
People who play like this should be banned. I hate them as humans there is no way your not a piece of crap on real life if you do this stuff on a video game
