Great Video Of The Ferris FW15 Hmmm Idk Why But I Hear The Motor Bogging Down @3:00 a Little And That Is Really (Not Tall Grass) For a 10HP Motor That Should Be Slicing Through Grass Like Melted Butter With No Bogging Down In The Motor . Maybe the Blades need Sharpening Or Maybe there is lots of Grass Clumped up under the deck as i see you are Mulching and not shooting the grass out the side .Could be that all i no is that 10Hp should not bogging Down Cutting only as i see in the video 4 to 6" only of grass. I saw the FW15 Cut over 1 foot of Grass and not 1 time did the 10Hp Bog Down 🤔
The motor is a beast. The tensioning rod came loose. You can hear the squeal when I engaged the pto.I dropped it off at the dealer this week as the blades are slowing down with the belt slipping. When working properly it is a beast.
@@steadfastlawncare Yes I can now hear that the belt is slipping Wow and that is a new Ferris and that fast the Tension Rod Came Loose . How long did it take from your purchase date to the rod got loose ? 1 week 2 weeks ect. ? I guess the lesson here to learn is when buying any mower ALWAYS TIGHTEN UP EVERY NUT before starting and using it when they make these mowers there moving fast sometimes bolts don't get tighten down to spec like they should and the end result the costumer gets parts that come loose .
The dealer tightened everything up for free under warranty for me. They showed me how to tighten the belt pulley system myself as this mower doesn’t have a self/auto tensioning system like zero turn do. It started at the 13 hour mark on the mower so I guess it was just the belt and everything breaking in. I used it today and was able to cut through some really thick grass to try it out. I’ll have to make a video on how to tension the belt pulley in the future as it is super simple.

That’s a good video. I’ll try and make one with my mower in the near future to show people how to adjust the tension on the belts.
