i just found out about the sound , and it is because the main camera moves up and down to match the lens that you are switching , zoom in main camera move up if ultrawide , main camera movs down idk why

Title’s not misleading, but I changed it and added the “XL” to please everyone commenting. It’s the same experience as a non XL with just more battery. The obvious is the in-hand feel cause it’s bigger, but that is it.

I'm currently use Pixel 9 Pro XL. The camera and its on-device software is really good, but still.. if you prefer the google AI to help you with that... you need to back up those photos, send to the google cloud and let the online AI do its job before sending you back the result of stunning photos (especially video boost which spend so long... waiting time). Google's "Portrait" mode (on-device software) is **suck** Well... I discover that Google throws everything to its on-cloud AI to increase Pixel's photo, video, and other features... which is a bit disappointing for me. I used to do the blind test for the mobile photo between iPhone 16 Pro Max, Samsung S24 Ultra and Pixel 9 Pro XL. My result is that iPhone 16 Pro Max's photo is the best taste for me ^^" (but I still use Pixel 9 Pro XL anyway. I've already bought it) If you are a photographer, I recommend you to buy iPhone 16 Pro Max 512GB or 1TB. It has the best and highest battery management. Its RAW photo file is stunning with full digital detail. Also, its video is the king above of all smartphone in this world. (**And they are all done by on-device software. By default, you never even need to touch the screen to take quick pictures. Double-clicking the power button starts the camera app even when the phone is locked, and you can press the "volume down" -button to take a photo/record. And yes, it can do slow motion video.
Only thing ion like is that you cant use the fingerprint to open the phone,when you are in a dark room. You HAVE to be in light for the camera to recognize you TOO
I think Pixel 9 is great. Definitely worth looking into if you don’t need the tele lens. Didn’t get any heating issues with the base Pixel 9, but it really depends on your climate where you are.

4:40 still insanely inefficient for a flagship device and averages around 30-60fps which is why i ended up buying a midrange 12/512 poco f6 for 300 bucks which performs way better and flashed the pixelOS custom rom on it if google actually starts using good SoCs i might consider them again but not atm the fact they start at 128gb is fkn ridiculous and the storage upgrades even more a 1tb nvme ssd is more expensive to make yet costs 50 bucks while they charge you 100 bucks more from 128gb to 256gb and the fact they are using the old ufs 3.1 storage the only reason ppl are buying these is because of the really good camera software processing, clean stock android, some ai features and maybe design if you don't use a case
i think 128gb is just fine if you rely on cloud storage for photos and videos. the google one ai premium gives you 2tb of cloud storage and it works well for me

Maybe not enough light so it’s trying to find a subject in frame. That’s the autofocus trying to make sure something is in focus. I think you can try to record in Pro mode and set the focus to infinity but that may be too cumbersome

I have a regular s22 and went with the pixel 9 pro. The camera is in a different league to my S22 to be fair. Every photo has so much more detail and this phone screen really shows them off in HDR. My S22 was fast and smooth as it had snapdragon processor but the pixel feels just as smooth.
9:03 I heard it once or twice between haptic feedback. It sounds like the switching between the main and wide to the telephoto lens and vice versa. The telephoto lens is a moving part because of its optic stabilization. that is way you get the sudden jump also when you activate/switch to it. My pixel 8 pro does the same thing but I`m sorry to say; nobody wouldn't hear that while taking photos or videos, not even me. You`ll have to put your ear as close as possible to the camera bar in order to hear it and that's weird to me. Who does that?
Weird, I don’t have that on my 8 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Oppo Find X7 Ultra, or iPhone 15 Pro Max. Just heard it one night when testing the cameras. Something that won’t bother me on a daily basis but figured I’d note it in my review.
@@HeyMarkL yes weird! You had the mic close to the camera bar. It's equivalent to putting your ears close to it while switching lenses in order to hear it. As for the 8 pro, you'll have to make a video demonstrating that it doesn't make that sound. Minds does!
Hi, so I've had multiple creator friends check their Pixel 9 Pro (and XL) and it's also on their unit. It's not super loud so it'll only really be audible when it's quiet, but it doesn't affect how the phone works. Hope this helps!

you'll be fine with the Pixel 9! The 2x-3x digital zoom does the job for most photos to be honest.

It depends what you want in a phone. The Pixel and iPhone are closer to each other than the Pixel is to the S24, in terms of experience

Siri 2 will do the same and is coming in December, a few months after Gemini Live. Just because it is first does not mean it will be better, unless you are a spec-chaser that only cares about having a feature before a rival?
@@andyH_England I’m typing from an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’ve had an iPhone since the first iPhone 2g. I hope Siri is as good, I doubt it will be.
@@THECarlyle it is not even on beta yet so I can’t confirm or deny how good it is though I watched the event and it looks a lot better than it was.
@@andyH_England Yeah I did too…and I if you get a chance to try to here pixel 9 pro XL for a few days.. try Gemini live and you will understand why I said what I did. I don’t prefer the Pixel 9 Pro XL over my iPhone 15 Pro Max in any other area BUT Gemini Live. If I were a spec chaser I wouldn’t choose Google’s Tensor chip lol

Why doesn't every reviewer say that the so called smart features that pixel has don't work outside of america and the uk ?
Also pixel software updates are terrible they drain the battery or there is some strange glitch that causes all sorts of problems,i had the pixel 6 and then 7 pro and let me tell you evry time there was software update i had to search the forums before updating just so i was sure there was no issues with it
Next issue is the hardware of the pixel and the none existent customisation
