Thanks a million for watching and leaving some great feedback. Always good to be out on the water and dipping a line in there and trying to get into the bite. Thanks for taking out time to stop by and watch and chat with me. I truly appreciate it. Tight lines & take care ;)
Thanks a million for watching and leaving some great feedback. Always love hearing from you and I put the smile on my face to see you stop by and chat with me. Everyone is doing just fine thanks for your concern. I'm glad you enjoyed the show. And thank you for all you've done for the channel definitely couldn't get this done without your help. Sincerely. Tight lines & take care ;)
Hi Heath, You had so much activity, that you had a hard time keeping up with one rod. It's always fun to catch a lot of fish and keep the reel screaming. Hope the family's well. Say "Hi" to Avi , Bella and Bijoux for me. I moved back to NJ on Saturday. I guess you can't take the Jersey out of me. Take care and have fun, Mickey
Hi Mickey. Thanks for watching and keeping me updated... Hopefully your move back to Jersey went well and smooth. All the kids say "Hi Mickey". It wasn't exciting day full of action. There were so many things happening that what you saw in the video was literally only a fraction of it. Never hitting so fast that I by the time I would let one mine out and get the other one set the first line was getting hit which is why I dropped down to only one. Everyone is doing good here hope all is the same for you and your family. Thanks again for always taking out time from your life to stop by and brighten my day. Talk to you Thursday. Take care :)
Thanks a million for watching and leaving some great feedback. A lot of folks think I'm crazy when I talk about trolling for snapper but I'm being able to put out a lot of proof about it. In it's not a magic trick and it's not scientific, it's just something that you have to set out to do and once you figure it out it's not that hard. Granted to load the boat full of keepers and limit out all depends upon the day but it's not unrealistic. I've got more episodes coming up showing different tactics on how to do this also. Thanks again for all your support I definitely going to get this done without your help. Tight lines & take care ;)
Thanks a million for watching and leaving some great feedback. I truly and sincerely appreciate it and you taking time out from your life to stop by and chat with me. Glad you enjoyed the show definitely couldn't get this stuff done without your help along the way. Shallow water trolling is some of the most fun stuff you can do especially if you get into the hookup. Thanks again. Tight lines & take care ;)
Interesting technique. When I think of snappers on the reef I automatically think chum bag but here's the proof that trolling over shallow reefs is possible. You've got the skills of a one armed paper hanger 😂
Thanks a boatload for giving me a good laugh. Everybody thinks I'm crazy when I talk about trolling for snapper and here is literally the proof. Granted I did have to work my way through the barracudas as they were pretty vicious but yellowtail snapper on the troll is definitely a real thing. One of the things I really like about it is the fact that I don't have a ton of bait making a mess on the boat and I can literally just pack up and end of the day fishing whenever I'm ready to. Thanks again for always taking out time to stop by and chat with me I really couldn't get this done without your help. And I truly appreciate you bringing a good sense of humor along with it. Thanks for everything. Tight lines & take care ;)
Great video. Looks fun compared to sitting at anchor with a chum bag like I’ve always done in the keys when fishing shallow. Will try this method for sure. Thanks
Hi captain! saw the video a few days ago.. was busy to comment... ;) pros; Why not?, you can cover a lot of ground, no sharks bites every 5 minutes... looks fun... cons: fuel to catch radio looks pretty bad, chumming could be way more effective, lots of bi-catch like barracuda! I've seen some commercial charters trolling 5-15ft but mostly for barracudas... anyway... always happy to learn / see something new! as always, thanks!
Thanks a million for watching and leaving some great feedback and sharing your thoughts on the process. So it's interesting that you bring up chumming because yes it is effective and the amount of buy catch is actually somewhat similar only trolling you seem to get more of the predatory fish like barracuda. What you didn't see was actually every strike and every fish that I caught I couldn't possibly fit all of that in a 15 to 20 minute episode. All in all I limited out on yellowtail and the barracudas were really Non-Stop. And all of this only took about an hour and a half to get accomplished. Already shallow reaps the real issue this time of year is the barracudas, I'm not saying that this is for everyone some people do enjoy staying put and fishing for what comes up to the boat but I always just try to show a different perspective and say hey you can actually do this if you're interested in trying it. Thanks again for your support of the channel it's always great to talk to you and share ideas and adventures. Tight lines & take care ;)
Great video as usual Heath thanks so much. Just got a bunch of white tail jigs delivered hope the seas are calm this weekend. Do you ever put out stone crab traps?
Thanks a million for watching and sharing with me your delivery. I agree I need some calm fees so I can get out and keep on the move. Ready to do some slaying. Yes I do sit down stone crab traps I used to do quite a bit of filming regarding it. You can look in my playlist I have one that's dedicated to Stone crabbing. This past year was rough though I had people stealing my traps and yanking the tops off of them so if it was rather disheartening. So I've had to think long and hard about whether I want to move forward with it cuz it's a lot of repairs and a lot of money. Good luck tearing it up with them white bucktail jigs you're going to have a boatload of fun. Thanks again for taking out time to stop by and chat with me I truly and sincerely appreciate it and your support for the channel. Tight lines & take care ;)
Thanks a million for watching and leaving some great feedback. The shallow water trolling never fails. Especially this time of year when the north winds start blowing and it's really hard to get out deep the patch reefs always produce. The water's cloudy which conceals your bait and gives you the advantage for the stealth Factor. Granted sometimes the barracudas can get a little vicious but you are going to pick up some nice snapper more often than not. Thanks again for taking out time from your life to stop by and chat with me I truly and sincerely appreciate it. Tight lines & take care ;)
@@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing Heath thank you always for being so generous with your time and knowledge. We truly appreciate you taking the time to comment back. You will always have our support. Blessings to you and your family.
Thanks a million for watching and leaving some awesome feedback. Moving to the keys would be nice. I'm just fishing down there. It's awesome to really see the difference between fishing where I live up in Palm Beach county versus fishing down there how the reef system is different the bite is different the weather basically everything you almost have to reinvent the wheel to really get your bearings and hone in on how you can direct yourself accordingly and get out and have some fun. Thanks again for taking out time to stop by and chat with me I truly and sincerely appreciate it and your support for the channel. Tight lines & take care ;)
@@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing thank you, Teacher I want to see more Videos with your Family. Please, Teaching your family how to fish is very Important!!!!
Thanks a million for watching and asking a great question. Over shallow reefs like that when I'm trolling for snapper I do between 4 and 5 knots... Which is right around 6 miles an hour. Don't want to go too fast and yet you don't want to go too slow. Also the time of year helps out too the snapper are spawning in the north winds Disturbed The seas so the water is cloudy and it gives you the advantage of some stealth for a trolling bait. Hope this helps. Thanks again for your support of the channel I truly and sincerely appreciate it. Tight lines & take care ;)
As usual the thanks is all to you. Truly appreciate you taking out time from your life to stop by week after week and say a little something to keep my spirits up. Great video. I do this where I live and the results can be solid. I can show you something that your not doing in your videos that will increase your bites…guaranteed.

Thanks again. Tight lines & take care ;)
I believe people need to rethink how they fish for snapper in South florida. The more I research the more I see that lures seem to be very effective. For some reason people have it in their mind that the only way you can get them is with chum and bait.
Thanks a million for asking a great question. Yes trolling for yellowtail the proof is in the video I do it quite often it's not a magic trick it's a real thing.
