I took my wifes 76hp SV650 out for a spinn in the twisty roads around here..l got to follow a couple of kids on ninjas cbr and gsxr..l had no trouble follow them on this roads at all...and trust me they tryed very hard to outrun me...you dont need a 1000000hp to go fast in turns, you cant use it anyway in tight corners..you just need a nimble and light bike to ride very fast. After 22years on sports bikes i got an adv bike and still have a blast in corners...and im still a speed junky..
You're wife made a good choice, I love my Hyosung 650 with it's 72hp v twin! Been riding for almost four years now, and I don't feel like I need more power at all.
The SV650 is awesome! All you need is the torque to do 0-60 in under 4 seconds. If you spend more money to go faster than that, you´re just wasting money on unusable horsepower. I wish some company would make a 650/700cc V-TWIN SUPERSPORT. THAT would be the best bike ever. 0-60 fast enough, umpf to keep up with inline-4 supersports (up to 70-80mph atleast) and light and nimble for da twisties :)
The SV650 is great bike with a high fun factor...it corners like a fly...if it was a bit bigger l too would get one of them..but it feels a little like a pocket biket to my size..perfect to my small wife.. Ducati panigale has a small V-twin supersport. I guess you are corekt about the rider..guess Valentino Rossi would outrun me on a scooter:)))
Start saving, I'm putting away $150 a week and when I get off my P's I should have enough to get an R6 and customise it like MotoNosity's. If you want something go out and get it.
Been riding R1's for over 20years , I'm 55 this year and it's getting where I can only ride for about a hour before everything starts aching or going numb and I need to pee 🤣😂..so do I finally make the leap from R1'S to mt's ? Nice bike and stay safe .
I commuted few driving season through Helsinki with ZX6R. This city is full of cobblestones, it felt slightly uncomfortable until I bought crf250l and started commuting with that. Now I cannot even think about driving through the city with Ninja anymore, even thought of it makes my back hurt and balls start sweating. Sadly I must admit I haven't driven single km with Ninja after getting the small red pig.. probably need to make it track bike as I cannot make myself sell it. It is my first bike after all.
If you don't mind me asking where did you get the lower passenger pegs at? I can't seem to find some with as much drop as those on your bike. Any help would be appreciated
I am SO jealous you have the SP! Well and jealous you live where you can actually buy one! They don't sell them in the US and it makes me SO angry! I bought a new FZ10 at the Launch and have owned 11 sport bikes ending with a crossplane '15 R1 but tried a Supernaked and fel in love! For me the supernakeds like the KTM superduke 1290r, the aprilia tuono v4 1100 Factory and the MT10 give you supersport performance with comfort and a blast to ride around town with all the torque low , just thumping around wheeling everywhere. It's by far the most, exciting, fun bike I've ever owned with all the power down low! Throwing a Y-pipe on getting rid of the rediculous cat and that crossplane 4 sounds epic! True Moto GP sound! I sold mine after 2 years becaue of life ,..but that was a month ago and I've decided I want another! Have to also say,..in the US a new superduke R is $18,000 a tuono factory 1100 $17,500 ,..if you can actually find one. The MT10 is in the same Supernaked class and runs with these top nakeds and I got mine new at launch for $9,250!!! LITERALLY HALF the cost of the other 2 and its nearly there performance wise! If you have a SP like this lucky guy , you are at the same level as the ultimate exotic supernakeds! Man I'd kill for an SP! So jealous!
ikr, spot on. the stupid asshole at Yamaha that made that brilliant decision should be fired and go home and commit suicide. dumb Yamaha dicks. if they had sp in US would have gone with that, but fuck Yamaha, went aprilla
Lmao, sitting in that smashed up car "waiting for a mate", you even told him about the windshield :D like in the original. I laughed so hard, it was perfect
The thing I would change on that Mt10sp is getting rid of the stock mirror and getting the St3 765 barends ones but having them pointing down instead so that they don disturb the view.
I just turned down the SP as the very best price I could get on a 2023 was 19.5k out the door when for only 15.3k out the door I was able to purchase the standard (all black) MT-10 So I figure with the 4.2K in savings I can upgrade the standard to something I will like more than the SP but who knows ...Off the top of my head I am thinking a pair of forged wheels! And MAYBE a high quality rear shock with remote preload? Or maybe save money and skip the remote preload since I wont be carrying a pillion why would i need to do quick preload changes? Then finally a tune....not sure I want the extra noise of a decat though I love quiet bikes
I might be strange, but, a lot of people when they see videos of these higher end bikes, it makes them not so happy about what they own, I on the other hand love my Hyosung more when I see videos of these bikes, not because I feel it's better, it is obviously absolutely not even close to them, but because I feel it is special in it's own way, it is simple, raw, unrefined, fast (for me, and compared to most cars on the road), sounds great and looks awesome! I would have liked if it had ABS though. And on the other hand you have these advanced bikes with all their fancy electronics and high quality parts, they're fantastic! I love bikes man!
It's Korean, they did move production of the 250 and 125 bikes to China a few years back, don't know if the 650's went there too but my 2010 naked 650 and 2014 sport 650 both were made in Korea. I love it, good engine, transmission is a bit on the rough side but doesn't really bother me and pretty smooth with clutchless shifting if you know how to do them properly. Electronics are a weak point on these bikes, the most is the stator and rectifier/regulator, but there are aftermarket parts to fix that issue, I have around 27k KM on the 2014, it blew the fuel pump relay at 3,000 KM, and later on the fuel floater got stuck, these are the two issues I recall. It also blew a bearing and messed up second gear (because I kept riding home instead of towing the bike, so my fault there) the bearing wasn't the bike's fault either (even though the bearings aren't the best quality) but it was due to having the chain too tight for a long time and that caused a lot of pressure. Before I got the bike I was comparing it with the Ninja 650, the Ninja felt a little bit better in quality, but not a big difference, definitely not enough to justify about $2,200 price difference! And not even with ABS! Also KTM 390's sell for *more* than a 650 Hyosung here, so to me it was a great deal, don't regret it one bit and I love the bike and have been enjoying it thoroughly!
Change it from a dream to a goal, work hard for it, save for it little by little even if it seemed like to little, and you should get it one day, even if it was a good used one. My first bike (which I still have) is a GT650N that I got used as I couldn't afford a new bike back then, got a bit of issues with it but nothing major and I'm glad I have it.
Sweet addition. I laughed when you mentioned that you don't really have to have a reason to get a new motorcycle.... that is where I find myself, explaining why I purchased a MT10 and I already have a car and another bike!! Jeez zoo how many vehicles does it take for me to get to work!!
Never could understand why people buy race bikes to ride on the street. If you do the track then great but not likely for most. The MT10 is designed for all around use and does it as well as anything on the market. The R1M is awesome to look at and performs on a track better than anything but it is so uncomfortable.
The most gorgeous naked bike to me is the Ducati 848/1098 street fighter though don't think I'd ever get it because I'm spoiled with Japanese reliability.
Asad S - my old 848 put me off Ducati forever. Maintenance pig, torture rack ergos (the sf848 really wasn't better, btw), unreliable, Ducati tax on all parts and accessories, just really underwhelming honestly. A 1098/1198 might have been better, but Aprilia's RSV4 was too good to pass up.
BTW unless I blinked? You never explained why you are not running the full decat exhaust? I was nterested to hear that LOL until I realized this video is 5 years old! LOL The 2023 SP looks almost the same so I didnt know?
I find it funny how you say about the R1s comfort hahaha I’ll find out first hand now it’s going hurt a lot. Brisbane > Melbourne 2015 R1 haha The MT10SP is a gorgeous bike, mate. Enjoy!
Had the chance to test the Mt10 Fell in love with the engine but all the rest in my option was horrible. Brakes were weak and the suspension was also lacking. Would be interested to try the Sp to see the difference
Did you consider the Suzuki GSXR-F 1000, that has full fairings and upright handlebars with better wind protection or the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ? I prefer those two over a naked bike, but yours is pretty nice to ! I bought a 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000LT for adventure and a 2017 Kawasaki ZX10R for track, now I have the best of both worlds !
Supernakeds FTW. No need for a supersport when you can have superbike performance and comfort together in one package. Did you consider the Tuono 1100? Similar engine character but sportier than the MT-10 and most reviews rate it as number 1.
I think I completely understand why you don't want the Link Pipe with that exhaust on. Being something you need to ride everyday It's gonna annoy the shit out of most ppl. But It's the meanest sounding monster. Chaos.
I have the old version, an Fz1n. I can agree with the the wheelies. Never mind 1st and 2nd you can use 3rd and 4th with no clutch. Of course it wants to hurt you, at least you have all the electronics. More fun, and more tyres without though...
@RidingWithTom Where did you buy the passenger peg extensions? Just moved to Brisbane (from The Netherlands), hope to get back on to the bike again soon. Thanks. :)
Where you got those extensions from? by the way lookout with the seat, they tend do break the leather up on front where its hitting the tank. got 3 of those refunded on my MT10 2016
My current dream bike 😍 I have a 2013 Daytona 675 I just got last Febuary, and I want to trade it for an MT 10. The Daytona is a great bike, but I do a lot of commuting and like to go on longer rides.
Scandi_MC superduke is unreliable compared to the mt10, costs way more, worse dealership support, looks ugly imo and is not a 4cyl which he seems to prefer anyways.
they will keep up with sports bikes you will find out when you get used to it, put some ebc pads in the front you will not falt the brakes after, im running mitchlin power rs they trance form it ,
worst of all yamaha bikes tbh, need to refuel trice a week, pretty bold to get such a "drinker" as a commute bike... people say it drains the whole tank in 150 miles
Love how you refer to your partner as your wive now ;) Yes i know she is your wive, just sounds funny ;) Anyway, fantastic bike, reminds of the BMW1000S... I am hoping it is the most FUN bike you've owned, not just a mode of work transport Super Sport is old school..... This format has been where the fun is for the last 5 years
I rode one of those on a yamaha demo day and my god i was having a blast on it. I'm iffy on the looks which was one of the reasons why I didn't pick it up, but it's still been lingering on the back of my mind. HOWEVER, I do have to say that my 2016 CBR1000rr is damn fun :D
Everyone is commenting bad shit about the Superduke. I own both; Superduke and MT10SP (check my channel). Without a single doubt I would always choose the Superduke over the MT10SP.
So today I got some different tyres today after a year and 10000km and wife is into me for “changing my mind too much with motorbike stuff”. But that MT10SP...... 🤔
buy me again
Hopefully if that update happens in 2019 he'll get one! :D
BMW S1000RR I want to buy you
I want you (2016)!!!
BMW S1000RR GOD DAM RIGHT💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
The Norse Wind how much for 30 minutes?
Why didn't you buy both?
Go away money bags! :)
RidingWithTom 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 my sincere apologies Sir 💵💵🇺🇸🇺🇸✔️
Two favourite youtubers 👌 But sorry 650ib I'm aussie so we know who's number one 😁
sell the fireblade, buy the r1M XD
Jan Eric Cabunilas that'll just about cover the deposit 😉💸💸
'Why did you buy a new bike Tom?' 'Its Monday mate'
Michaelmx338 that's exactly what I said in my video two weeks lol
I took my wifes 76hp SV650 out for a spinn in the twisty roads around here..l got to follow a couple of kids on ninjas cbr and gsxr..l had no trouble follow them on this roads at all...and trust me they tryed very hard to outrun me...you dont need a 1000000hp to go fast in turns, you cant use it anyway in tight corners..you just need a nimble and light bike to ride very fast.

I guess you are corekt about the rider..guess Valentino Rossi would outrun me on a scooter:)))
Handling on the bigger bikes is just not the same as the smaller ones... just not as nimble.
@@Zi9makin9 yo they actually made an R7
Tom's "utility commuter" bike is my dream bike that I can't afford to own...
An MT-07 is still awesome.
Start saving, I'm putting away $150 a week and when I get off my P's I should have enough to get an R6 and customise it like MotoNosity's. If you want something go out and get it.
CBRboy1717 keep working and you'll get there buddy. Good thing about dream bikes are they are still substantially less than even above average cars
Me too. But my 300 2 stroke will do
CBRboy1717 that’s what I thought and now I have one 😄
So a wr250r wr450f cbr1000rr ninja 636 and a Mt10 How do you have enough room. Where is the Jeep living
Been riding R1's for over 20years , I'm 55 this year and it's getting where I can only ride for about a hour before everything starts aching or going numb and I need to pee 🤣😂..so do I finally make the leap from R1'S to mt's ? Nice bike and stay safe .

Take it out on the weekend for a short ride to buy a soda and drink it while sitting on it or next to it.
If you don't mind me asking where did you get the lower passenger pegs at? I can't seem to find some with as much drop as those on your bike. Any help would be appreciated

Tom, just give it up and get a R1200 GS or a KTM 1290! Get it over with. Love the bike!
Lmao, sitting in that smashed up car "waiting for a mate", you even told him about the windshield :D like in the original. I laughed so hard, it was perfect
Congrats on your new bike, Tom. Lot's of adventures, fun times and safe trips! C: Cheers
Heated grips super handy for commuting or keeping your hands warm for wheelies.

@tom can you confirm this bike has the current model R1 motor and not the last version.
This is literally one of my dream bikes, I have an MT 07 and I love that thing to death

Your Hyosung is kinda like my dream bike man, the largest bike i had is like 200 cc single cylinder shit haha
Change it from a dream to a goal, work hard for it, save for it little by little even if it seemed like to little, and you should get it one day, even if it was a good used one. 1.Price
2.
2. More torque
3. More comfortable riding position
4. Power is more usable for street use
5. Can ride with a passenger
Foste destruido completamente pelo Justin :D
Why not aprilia tuono?
wheres the exhaust video? you mentioned it but I didnt see it in your playlist.
Never really explained why you went away from the full exhaust back to slip on only?
Where are you filming looks like out near dungog
Hi Tom thinking of getting the mt10. What’s it like for the pillion ?
What happened to the Tiger? Wouldn't that have made a good commuting bike?
It was just a review bike I had for 2 weeks
Damn... I just bought an MT-10SP.. Yes, you're the one to blame.. What about the exhaust, de-cat pipe or not?
Nice, There great alround. I'd recommend the Woolich race tune to smooth out the power delivery.
Never could understand why people buy race bikes to ride on the street. If you do the track then great but not likely for most. The MT10 is designed for all around use and does it as well as anything on the market. The R1M is awesome to look at and performs on a track better than anything but it is so uncomfortable.
what you think about bmw k1300r? though they don't make them anymore.
They changed it to MT from FZ here in the states starting this model year
The most gorgeous naked bike to me is the Ducati 848/1098 street fighter though don't think I'd ever get it because I'm spoiled with Japanese reliability.
Yeah I’m bummed Ducati just kinda killed off the street fighter, it was a sick bike
Alex Kharazmi thanks for the feedback. Honestly love ducatis but only on TH-cam :P
Asad S - there's no denying they are beautiful to look at, that's for sure.
because your insurance will go up less when it gets stolen?
Just got me a 2019 standard Mt10 in blue, thanks for the video mate
Great bike!! Where did You buy the peg extensions? In Spain I don't find It.
Did you consider the bmw s1000r or the superduke 1290??? Even thou the mt 10 its a great bike!!!
BTW unless I blinked? You never explained why you are not running the full decat exhaust? I was nterested to hear that LOL until I realized this video is 5 years old! LOL The 2023 SP looks almost the same so I didnt know?
Where can i get the passenger footpeg extensions in Aus? Cheers
I find it funny how you say about the R1s comfort hahaha I’ll find out first hand now it’s going hurt a lot. Brisbane > Melbourne 2015 R1 haha
The MT10SP is a gorgeous bike, mate. Enjoy!
Bear_Moto ii
Yep because in track, you will not ride the R1 with only one position.
Any reason why you chose the MT10 over something like a tuono, or is it just because of that its derived from an R1M?
Why not get the S1000R? You seemed to like it a lot
S1000R is really nice, I’ve spent a lot of time on them but I wanted something a bit different, I’ve had 2 s1000rr’s. I wanted some crossplane action
I have a S1000R great bike. But Everytime I hear a r1 or mt10 fly by me. I wonder if I bought the right bike 😅
I've just sold one of my bikes and been considering getting an MT10 or Speed Triple R... The MT10 looks like it might be a bit much for me...
Does it have the 2.0 Ohlins suspension????
How does this compare comfort wise to your old S1000RR?
What you need now mate is a turbo from extreme creations
Had the chance to test the Mt10
Fell in love with the engine but all the rest in my option was horrible. Brakes were weak and the suspension was also lacking. Would be interested to try the Sp to see the difference
SP feels very different. Brakes are pads away from being stronger, if you so desire.
Hmmmmmm? Did they swap the modes? On FZ10s B mode is the kill your family mode, on FZ9s A mode is the kill your family mode.
What the heck, D mode? I guess they did change things up Neat!
This thing is cool. I had an R1M. With that seating position, it must be a wheelie monster.
The dash on the Mt-10 is way different than the dash on the FZ-10. I don't know how I feel about the dark dash but its still nice.
the best choice! with the comfortable seat and everything.

Sliders won’t do much you should get some race rails or to be super safe a stunt cage
@RidingWithTom Where did you buy the passenger peg extensions?
Just moved to Brisbane (from The Netherlands), hope to get back on to the bike again soon.
Thanks. :)
So no more tiger?? :/
MT/FZ 10 is def the next bike on my radar!
Congratulations on the new bike(s). We are looking forward to your next purchase,
Yours sincerely, the VicRoads motor vehicle duty fees division
Where you got those extensions from? by the way lookout with the seat, they tend do break the leather up on front where its hitting the tank. got 3 of those refunded on my MT10 2016
I swear to god that road you were riding on was where my uncle took us to heathcote to go camping 😂
Think of a powerful fast bike this way. You get to work fast and you get home fast and that means you spend more time with your family.
Where abouts are you Tom?
Nice bike Tom, was looking at that bike myself but just can't bring myself to get rid of the Bird! Great channel, awesome content!
If you had to choose between a super sport or a naked, which would you go with? (only being able to ride one of them)
WR250R haha
naked life is the best life. Also what was the reason you took the full akra system off, you never ended up saying.
I’ll explain in a vidya, I gotta show different sound bites and shit
My current dream bike 😍 I have a 2013 Daytona 675 I just got last Febuary, and I want to trade it for an MT 10. The Daytona is a great bike, but I do a lot of commuting and like to go on longer rides.
The mt-10 is the definition of a BEAST
why didnt u choose superduke or monster 1200? ;(
To not be like every other Motovlogger i guess
They both suck
Jay the 1290 superduke is no doubt a better bike than mt10sp, more power, better brakes, lighter, mt10 is ugly as fuck too
Scandi_MC superduke is unreliable compared to the mt10, costs way more, worse dealership support, looks ugly imo and is not a 4cyl which he seems to prefer anyways.
Riding Weeb Ehh, only unreliable thing is that damn fuel gauge. They just came out with a replacement though.
Definitely made to create an adrenaline rush. It's the perfect bike for you mate! Congrats and enjoy.
they will keep up with sports bikes you will find out when you get used to it, put some ebc pads in the front you will not falt the brakes after, im running mitchlin power rs they trance form it ,
Yeah some new pads are needed, little bit spongey the front
Amazed it stands up on that grass ...would of thought it would fall over
Still not convinced that they are better than my FZ1 Got 158hp, Added elect cruise and it will do a 10.8 1/4 mile
How good is that bike in petrol? Cos all Yamahas bikes drink way too much petrols.
worst of all yamaha bikes tbh, need to refuel trice a week, pretty bold to get such a "drinker" as a commute bike... people say it drains the whole tank in 150 miles
255km and dry, empty, pushing time, at least with my one.
KTM Super Duke??
Really like how it looks.
Hi Where did you get the peg extensions from?? 👀👀👀
eBay!
Hi there, where did you purchase those rear footrests extension?
found em on ebay
under 40mm passenger extend
Wow been looking to get one of them as my next naked. I prefer nakeds they’re are way more comfier but the supersports too amazing.
Hey Tom, Probably a bit personal but - how did you meet your mrs? Im looking for a biker lady ~!
What’s the fuel consumption like?
Not great!
is there any corners in Oz?
Nope, none at all, just straight roads for 1000km. True story.
What is that horseshoe looking thing around the fuel filler cap?
Dw, it's for the tank bag
Its the MT-10 in the US now aswell :)
And Canada to!😀
Love how you refer to your partner as your wive now ;)
Yes i know she is your wive, just sounds funny ;)
Anyway, fantastic bike, reminds of the BMW1000S...
I am hoping it is the most FUN bike you've owned, not just a mode of work transport
Super Sport is old school..... This format has been where the fun is for the last 5 years
This mt10, daytona, fireblade, that dirt 450cc bike (i forget the name) and also the old dirt 250cc bike, so u have 5 bikes on ur garage?? 😄
GGori 99 6 bikes including his wife's Ninja 636!
Elliot Woodhouse he can ride his wife?
idk lol now that he's married probably not.
Wouldn't this bike have the same problem as your BMW1000rr having too much untapped ability?
I loved these machines I wish when I bought my FZ10 that it came with ohlins suspension oh well more mods I guess. Congrats on the purchase!
I had a FZ-09 and loved it. Just got a cruiser for the wife riding 2 up. But the the FZ was 👌🏻. Brutal, but 👌🏻
I was just going to revise for my exam
How was it
plc do make a video with the 636 for old time's sake :)
What kind of phone mount is it again?
Quad lock
I rode one of those on a yamaha demo day and my god i was having a blast on it. I'm iffy on the looks which was one of the reasons why I didn't pick it up, but it's still been lingering on the back of my mind. HOWEVER, I do have to say that my 2016 CBR1000rr is damn fun :D
Why no S1000R or Tuono ?
Noah Samuel probably because they both have small uncomfortable pillion seats for his missus.
The best road bike you can buy I reckon.
Utility commuter = sp version. Nice bike mate!
what dose sp stand for?
Christian.E think it stands for ‘special’
Everyone is commenting bad shit about the Superduke. I own both; Superduke and MT10SP (check my channel). Without a single doubt I would always choose the Superduke over the MT10SP.
About time you discovered super naked are more fun on the road. SS are for rich kids and racetracks tbh.
So today I got some different tyres today after a year and 10000km and wife is into me for “changing my mind too much with motorbike stuff”.
But that MT10SP...... 🤔
