One aspect I appreciate in his songs is his commitment to the performance. There’s no holding back. Full body, full voice, full vulnerability - and that adds that extra few percent to lift things out of standard fare. As always a thoughtful reaction. Have a good weekend mate.
I agree, it makes a big difference doesn't it. Have a good one mate.
This is so raw and emotional. In acoustics he digs much deeper into the visceral.
At this point Connor was his right hand man and good friend. Since then he has become his manager. He's the first person Ren embraces when he learned of winning the #1 album for Sick Boi. A truly quality guy. I don’t know the guitarist, but Luke ,the videographer says he got goosebumps every time Ren sang the nah nah nee.
This Monday the 26th of Aug. Ren is releasing a live version of Bittersweet Symphony done with a string Quartet.
And on Wed Chris Webby is realeasing his song with Ren featuring. Heads up my friend!❤
Thanks, Frances! Gonna get on those asap.
There's so much more emotion in this live version. I feel the intensity.
That was a lovely observation about the cinematography. You have a good eye.
Thanks, Holly!
Love your soft spoken voice to this artist called Ren.
Thanks, Cheryl!
As often noted, when Ren does a recorded version and then acoustic version of a song, they feel like two different songs. Thanks for your thoughts on this one!
Thanks, Lou!
He’s a very clever lad, one of my favourites! Loved hearing your thoughts.
Thanks!
He is so captivating to watch 🥹💜
That’s Connor his manager
Love your reaction! So much happening in this video! Thanks ❤🕊️
Thanks!
I love the pose that you're talking about. Ren does it in a lot of his videos. I feel like it's a moment of surrendering to the all. So fitting that you used the word "akashic." In Vedantic philosophy, it has a technical meaning of "an ethereal fluid that pervades the cosmos."
That reminds me of how I feel when he holds his fingers up a bit and seems to be channeling from somewhere else. I’m so looking forward to the next several months as he releases his new work.
I like that meaning! Looking forward to the new releases. Thanks guys!
Good eye on noticing the colors. I'm always so wrapped up in watching the emotional parts.
This version is fierce good!
Just fyi if your not aware Ren has a new version of Bittersweet Symphony release on Monday 7pm
Chris Webby Featuring Ren on Wednesday
After that much new music every week up to Christmas
I'm gonna record a reaction to that next change I get. Thanks.
Love this one it is raw and creative.
Glad you enjoyed this! Another fantastic and thoughtful reaction 💜💜
Thanks, Kat!
Terrific reaction and thoughtful commentary. I like that you said trying to hold on to a certain concept or form can kill creativity. You put into words that which escaped me. Thanks for your continued support of Ren!
Thanks, Barbara!
Another great reaction from one of my favorite reactors. Thanks Izzy
Thanks, Lou! Love to ya!
Thx ❤
your sweater is a statement
Izzy, you always give me reason to pause. That's a good thing. When you spoke about your music and letting it happen because it feels right made me think about when I give talks. Often, something will hit me that's off script. When I go with it, not always knowing why, it seems that someone will approach me after and say that that was the part that meant the most to them. Makes me believe there is an intelligence in that space between us.
Great to hear, David! Makes me believe too!
❤
Quick "Thanks!" Glad you found your way to this . . . ❤
Thanks, Bonnie!
Hey Izzy! Lately you’ve been looking quite dapper! Noice mate! Clearly, Ren’s is beyond talented. Almost unfathomably so. As a talented musical artist yourself; do you find Ren inspiring? I mean do you make mental notes of techniques he uses, and ideas you could use in your own videos? Do you have friends that resent the hell out of him? When is more of your stuff coming out? Just curious. I hope this finds you well. 😉💙✌️
Thanks, Abby! I do find him inspiring. Can't say anything specifically inspires me. Just his work rate I suppose and the great stuff he creates. Don't know anyone that recents him. As for my own stuff, time is a problem currently, between TH-cam and working it doesn't leave a lot. But hopefully over the next few months I'll be able to work less and devote more time to the music.
@@IzzyIzenstain excited to hear more originals, Izzy!😉❤️😃
another thoughtful reaction, really enjoyed it, thank you!
Thanks!
hey i love your reactions! hugs, you have seen push chinchilla and Sam, maybe its time for Eden Nash? i like Humble by them! Oceans is ok but Humble might be better for this channel, only love here man
Love Humble.
Thanks. I'll get to Humble soon.
I tagged you on REN’s community post where he was calling for reactors for next weeks drop.
I'm gonna react to it. Thanks!
I don't know if you've heard this: In an early interview with Ren, he says that he usually thinks about visuals while he's writing songs. So the visuals for his videos are integral, not something just added on. But, he also said, talking about the video for "Animal Flow," that many of the concepts for that 1 video were last minute additions.
I hadn't heard it. Thanks, Thomas!
Made me think - even back when Baroque music was being made - the players would dress, the performance was a spectacle - perhaps northern soul and club music wasn’t about the artists visuals.
Think you would love Indigo Girls, Closer to fine.
Like this, but it doesn’t offer as much as the live murderer Imho.
Keep reacting 👍👍🏽
Thanks, Spruce! I'll check that out.
Freedom for the soul?
