Songs of War (free on youtube) is the minecraft movie we deserved. It had a budget of 30k and a lot of hard work was put into it. The story is very interesting, the combat is quite good, the voice acting is good and the weapon and wold design is top tier. The minecraft movie had a budget of 150 million dollars. The only thing they achieved with that budget was casting jack black and jason mamoa.

Kids aged 14 and under make up only 20.5% of the player base whereas 43% are 15-21 years old. 21% are 21-30 year old and 15% are 30-65 years old. Literally 80% of the Minecraft player base are aged 15 and over. Yet they're aiming this movie towards kids aged 1-9, the extreme minority of their player base.
Okay, everyone knows a Live Action Minecraft Film is *NEVER* a good idea (Duh!), and this Trailer is exactly why! Frankly, anything done in this movie, any Animator in the Minecraft Community can do 50 times better. 60 tops.
I think the tool bag "joke" is meant to reference Steve's ability to carry extremely heavy amounts of resources, I'm not defending it but that might've been the logic
