Mike if you don't use the arrow keys often you could downsize to 60% and maybe even keep the arrow keys if you still want dedicated arrow keys. TKL is nice though for the function row and navigation cluster.
I think its funny how people complain about youtubers advertising for companies. And to incentive people to make videos TH-cam pays youtubers pennies on the dollar and companies pay for product placement in either free products or money. And just think without all of that people wouldnt have a platform to complain about advertising and product placement. Welcome to a capitalist economy.
To those of you shocked by the price of the $220 shelf and $90 tray, they are now $240 and $120! They also changed the desk shelf so now it has a full length shelf (with no felt). Man it's sexy though.
They still fail the "refuse" part of refuse-reduce-reuse-recycle. "No waste" cannot be achieved without going "no sales"; there will always be waste in retail and shipping.
The IKEA Karlby is super cheap compressed wood. Only benefit was it comes in different colors. I went to Home Depot found a butcher block counter top and stained it myself, much more high end and was almost same price
For me, minimalist means only three things on the table - Monitors (and Laptop), wireless Keyboard and wireless Mouse. No matter how cool the desktop is, I never prefer it on desk. What I did was screwed my desktop front down, ports up under the perpendicular board on the backside of the table, placed a switch in one of the Leg's top (parallel to the table board) which had a perfect place and because leg was hollow and had small holes at places, I inserted the wire inside it. It was perfectly minimalist. No visible wires, floating hidden desktop and a huge 6 feet wide table. I miss that setup, man.
Wish I could get my desk looking as clean as yours. Visited the Grovemade website before and there products look like they are worth the price. What’s that wallet on the desk?
This is an old vid but ur not meant to use a wrist wrest for low profiles like the g915 lol just sayin, they’re made so that u don’t have to use them because of how low to the surface they are

I think if desk mats are curved a bit, you can use a cloth and iron to flatten out the bend.

I agree. You can call this simplicity. I think more and more people misconstrue the meaning of minimalist.
Use a deskmat cause it protects the table. But not grovemade because it is expensive.
In this setup you can’t move the tray properly because the secondary mat is in the way, best is a extra large mat with a mousepad if u need one
