- Some of the stuff featured in the video is kind of exy for what it is, but look. We gotta make the desk setup as aesthetic and functional as possible, and when you have to choose between cheap and ugly and expensive but still can affort and aesthetic, we gotta go with the latter.

I love how all other tech youtubers make these accessory videos because grovemade sent them their whole catalog. Love seeing other products not from them
If you are into networking it’s the same problem. Before you click on it you already know it’s some tech tuber running through all the gear the ubiquity rep sent them. Sure, it’s good gear, but I want to see people doing stuff that will either teach me something or inspire my imagination. 800 vids of the same thing is neither of those.

@@aster22380 On this front I have to concede that I'm actually a huge Aeron fanboy. I'm a software engineer and with the really long hours I was doing at the desk I was getting issues with my back and shoulders. Dropped the cash on a Aeron and I've never looked back. Had it so long now it's out of warranty, but it still looks almost as good as the day I bought it. When people ask about it I say that I would happily do my job on a $100 laptop if I can have a $2000 chair. It really made that much of a quality of life difference.
Having said that it's not anything specific to the Aeron itself and I would have probably gotten the exact same benefit from any well made and well fitting chair. I wish people would talk about other options more; couldn't tell you the name of another high end office chair.
I agree, I don't like when every video I click the top 5 accessories for a desk, be the same company and product.
I am so sick of watching youtubers review free product. I already know I wont be getting an honest review. No youtuber will jeopardize free product with a negative or less than Steller review. its rare to watch youtubers who actually purchase their product and offer a damn honest reviews.

Good video! I don’t understand why Grovemade is so expensive, it seems like it’s mainly just name brand recognition at this point. Its not very attainable for college students like myself, I will stick to cheaper brands for now 😅

I love that you included other brands that have good accessories aside from Grovemade. I've been trying to find cheaper alternatives to Grovemade such as their iphone wood Magsafe stand and their desk riser but it's been hard. Love your overall video aesthetics. I have 2 free headphone stands on my desk; they are amazing! What I do is put my headphones over one of my monitors when I am not using them. The ergonomic shape of my monitor ensures that the headphones can easily slip over them and has the added benefit of not needing extra hardware cluttering up my desk!

I bought the Maidern leather/cork desk mat after seeing your video. Unfortuately, who ever packed the mat FOLDED the end a few times before rolling, so there are about 5 deep creases in the cork that won't come out causing it to ripple and not lay flat. It's a good looking product otherwise, but with the creases it just looks like wavy garbage on my desk.

Nice setup and nice keeb. I am also a big fan of the black ink V2s. For your setup id recommend a Mode Sonnet as a keyboard upgrade, or for a cheaper route getting into a QK75 or Zoom75 group buy. Nice video though.

I really love the "hologram" effect you did during the keyboard sound test, I was wondering if you could share some tips on how you made it.
For that I put the screen recording clip over my typing one, skewed it and made it small to fit, then made the blend mode to be darken. Then I add a slight glow and focal blur.

That the leather gets dimples and grooves from use is a feature, not a bug.
Temu fr best for this kinda stuff, avoid cords and power banks or anything that could have a fire risk if made cheaply, wireless chargers are fine cuz they’re more a display piece, but Temu has so many unique desk accessories rly cheap, if u find something u like and it look ugly, jus find a better and probably cheaper one from another company, jus know how to shop and you gonna get good ass shi for cheap
