As a viewer who has been watching since the beginning, I enjoyed this episode much more than the other recent videos. Videos like this are what cemented DemoRanch in guntuber greatness. That, and of course, the Quadhawk! This definitely had those good old school, OG DemoRanch vibes, and I for one, was definitely here for it. Thank You for entertaining me with another great video as always.
crazy..... i use to watch this demo ranch when i was a freshman in highschool. i am now 22 living on my own with a gf. when he said "grown with me" it really hit home. havent really tuned in a whole bunch since then, but happy to see that hes just as entertaining as he was when i was younger.
Same dude, started watching these videos with my dad in high school because we both could bond over the content, and now I have my own house and I still send clips of demo ranch to my dad
It makes me so happy to see you making these videos again! Way back in the day i used to love watching your homemade shotgun shell videos. I wish you still had them posted
I would really love to see these videos with random things inside bullets, but recorded with a high quality slow mo camera that can take really slow videos. It would be fun to see what happens to the bullets when shooting. Maybe a collab with the slow mo guys?
@@KainYusanagino they are the ones TH-cam allowed but banned DemoRanch from doing shotgun ammo stuff. Besides their slow motion video is grainy. Slow Mo Guys have real 4k plus capable cameras and you can see the details.
so nice seeing the classic creativeness of DemoRanch back, safety support idea, who ever runs out from behind cover to check the miss fires put on some body armor & brain bucket great work keep it up!!
Mat, i started watching you when i was 10-11 years old(when you were still active on the vet-ranch page), you also were one of the TH-camrs that helped me through a rough patch in my life. I am 17 now. Thank you.
you should get the ballistic high speed guys out so they can fill some of those crazy things in super high speed. I'd love to see what the screw and nail rounds actually do in mid air
Best intro ever sir fantastic job. Idk how you keep coming up with new stuff. Not everyone is a 10 pointer but they are all better than I can think up, so keep it up. The tip that is, keep it pointed in a safe direction and be aware of that backups and what's behind it
Cool ideas, but should've invited the slomo guys something like that, would be super interesting to see what does bullets do mid flight and on impact in great detail
I remember back in the 90's picking up a box of 30-06 shells loaded with a normal powder charge and a .223 bullet in a sabot, they didnt perform particularly well since it was next to impossible to hit anything with them because they would start tumbling as soon as they left the barrel, you could tell because they made this terrifying buzzing noise, always compared it to a pissed off bee if it were the size of a cat, in closing hybrid rounds are fun just rarely useful for anything other than pure entertainment. 👍
@@jalenwilliams8622 I wish I could remember if there was a manufacturer name on the box, but this was about 30 years ago and my memory isn't that great, I just remember I came across them in a booth at the gun show where the guy had a bunch of novelty type rounds, like the shotgun shells with the tiny darts or the rubber bbs, think I picked up some "exploding" .22 shells there too which were also pretty disappointing, they were basically 22 hollow points with something in the hole that would kinda spark if you shot something hard like a cinder block
Have you ever tried hollowing out a bullet and filling it with Tannerite, in essence making an exploding bullet? Not sure the Tannerite would survive the initial detonation of being fired, but it would be interesting to see.
I think I was 16 when I saw the microwaving stuff by the creek and homemade shotgun shells videos, Ive since been married once been through one house and ten pickups since
I've learned so much from Uncle Demo over the years. After the prison time, acquired from following most of his advice, ends I'll be sure to spread the knowledge to others
Hey Matt, there's a really cool phenomena that causes bullets fired at ice to spin like a top on the ice. You should try that out if you get a chance- it has to be thick ice obviously so the bullet doesn't penetrate. See what sizes you can get to spin!.
FINALLY!!! Old school Demo videos are the whole reason I subscribed. Don't get me wrong, I love all your content, but the older/experimental/SCIENCE vids are my favorite lol
Really think a higher speed slow mo camera would be an awesome addition for the channel, especially w these sorts of tests. Being able to see super clearly what occurs would be great
We definitely need slow motion footage of that 5.7 one to see if the whole bullet is actually engaging the rifling! That's amazing! Also would be cool to start seeing you show us some of the cases after they are shot. To see if there is any case head separation or primer blowouts and stuff like that.
Probably crazy expensive to set up but what if you shot rubber buckshot down a zigzag corridor? Like a riot round in a brick hallway? You did do the pipe rollercoaster bullet thing a long time ago……
Damn the intros just keep getting better and better! Also love the nostalgia of this video! Huge thanks for letting us informed and entertained for all of these years Matt and crew!
We used to use cleaning rods down the barrel on top of blanks to hunt rabbits when we were out of ammo. Might be interesting to try to test your accuracy with that.
I love the old style content. Thanks for bringing this video out. Reminds me of the old days of trying to put anything in a shotgun to fire lol great video matt
This kind of stuff demands a collab with the slow mo guys. I bet there are some interesting details to these "experimental" round. you know, you could turn that screw round into a sabot round by filing down the head until it serves as fin stabilizers.

When I worked at Cigar City Gun Club, a skeet & trap field, in the early 70s, it was commonly known that if you leave the wad out of a shell so that the powder and shot mix you can blow up your gun. I never saw that happen but I did see a nice break-action trap gun blow up from a triple-loaded shell, though. I wonder what would happen if you filled a shell with acetylene? C4 might work!
at 5:10 i got curious and tested what note the strap played and it seems to actually be roughly between g and g sharp, unsure if cameraman had a lucky guess or has some sort of perfect/relative pitch
For the gun to explode you need to put a 308 bullet that is way over charged meaning it has to be putting out over 100,000psi over energy. That's how you can blow the gun. Remember what happened to Scott's 50bmg when he shot a slap round at a fire hydrant and caused the gun to explode? Because it was a super spicy round.
