I honestly don’t know why more people aren’t watching this you do everything so professional and you also put so much work into theses videos but keep up the good work love your videos
Great job. You've done this lots. Any idea why the Mazda workshop manual says never to remove the top collars and if you do, replace the whole PPF!!! Go figure, but there must be something to watch out for?
So glad you posted this. Just did a swap and with the difference in the front my trans feels like its moving all over the place. I really didn't want to drop my diff either though. I just rebuilt all that stuff as well! Such a great way to do this!
Just did the swap, was farely easy, i didnt have to do anything with my exhuast, removed two front power frame bolts so i could pivit it out of the way. Feels better but since I run a hardtop there is alot of added noise and vibration.
Is it possible to remove a differential housing with a broken arm without removing the entire differential? It looks possible, but I haven't tried it yet. I don't know if the housing bolts can be removed without removing the entire differential. I am recovering from leukemia and lost a lot of muscle mass. I have an RX7 housing to replace the old broken arm.
This is definitely going to help your TH-cam career I feel like people needed a face for the car bc you’ve been doing a lot of POV but for ppl who don’t follow your insta and stuff this I’d definitely going to start putting a face with the cars
Thanks man! I don't care too much if people know my face hahha! I try to avoid being another selfie channel. We are all here for automotive knowledge - not what Dionne looks like =)
Dude... I think it would an amazing piece of content if you would collaborate with @obsessedgarage for a full makeover. It would be so awesome. I can see how both of your persuit of perfection would be a force that’s unstoppable to tackle that garage of yours. @omgmiata Pleeeeease.
Christ that's a clean underbelly (cried the guy who lives in winter country who's Miata is covered in black gooey rust protection) And thank you for sharing this. I'm in the process of dropping the diff to replace the bushings - and the air hammer instead of the burning/drilling/saving/outer space-methods is 100% pure win!. Thank you. (And Subbed of course ;) )
awesome. thank dude. ples get a lift in that garage before your next 2k purchase. lol. pls. it hurts my back watching you work on teh floor with all the work you put into the space and yoru beautiful miata... MAXJAxx get this guy a lift!!! BENDPACK sing the song of our people
I can’t wait till one day I use this information to completely bore and confuse a non car guy friend and hopefully not sound like the total nerd that I am lmao thank you tho for doing this in-depth stuff to teach noobs like me
How did you get that flyin Miata brace to look like that? Mine came coated in what looks like flaky blsck wrinkle coat paint. Not very happy with the finish.
Didn't work for me. Got to where I was trying to air chisel the bushings out but no go. Tried PB Blaster, heat gun and lowering the car on a propped up steel bar. Nada. OE route for me next. 28 yr old bushings, this is going to be a project. Cool vid though.
It is very helpfull another men with miata who want to build a miata. So i think you can mix all the vidio you build your miata and make a time lapse. Thanks
@mapler_monje huge fan man been following you since the smart car and before you got the cayman love your work and your videos you legit have helped me build my eclipse without knowing!! I just hope you keep yo the videos I appreciate it man!
@@OMGBUILDS yeah, but I dont need adjustment, just a 1/2" drop, I'd go bfw, but I've heard some negativity about them, so I'm interested in the innovative
@@OMGBUILDS I bought the innovatives tonight, I couldn't hold off on the girls Christmas any longer, along with fm poly diff mounts and door bushings. Still looking forward to your review, I made my decision based on greg Peter's channel.
Why Racing Beat and not Flyin' Miata or Eibach? By the way, what's your name? Every time you say it, you say is fast and I can't hear it. Sorry but I'm an OG that never took care of his ears. Like your attention to detail, as I'm the same way. Don't have any photos scanned of my 1976 CJ-5, but I had over 60K of 1970's and 80's money in it. It had a built 6 and every thing in the engine compartment chromed except the Holley 4 barrel carb, that was 24 caret gold. I did things like having the power steering pump housing taken apart, then polished and chromed, then put back together by the rebuilder (not just the can from the pump, but the pump itself). All the electrical wiring in the engine compartment was braided stainless as well as the hoses of course. Just crazy over the top detail. It was as much go as it was show. I jumped it so high it bounced off the wheel twice when I landed! So I can relate to you. Really been enjoying you videos! Thanks, Chris Zinn
@boosted_mx5 If my car was that clean I would do that but I always need to remove a bunch of stuff to just try and clean up an area. Its hopeless for me. Lol!
@lucifer.mx5 is my insta I never knew you had a channel I watch your insta stories daily. Absolutely love the amount of time and effort you have put into this car. Hopefully mine will be as nice one day :)
IG: @phattius your builds are intricate as fuhhhhh!!! Anywhoo great job and thank you for taking the time to present a great tutorial. Have a wonderful Xmas my good man.
great videos man, i plan on buying a Miata as my first project car and first car in general, definitely gonna rewatch all your stuff
SWEET!
Great videos as always, can't wait for the TH-cam algorithm to finally recommend your videos to all the people you deserve!
Thanks dude! As long as my followers learn from these videos - thats enough for me!
I honestly don’t know why more people aren’t watching this you do everything so professional and you also put so much work into theses videos but keep up the good work love your videos
Yeah same
I'll get there! 😃
Oh my god the cleanest underside of a car ever, it is beautiful.
How do you not have more subs?!? The quality of your videos and the way you film is fantastic 👍🏼 keep up the great work
Hah its all good! My goal is to educate the next gen of builders - getting more subs is secondary 😀
Great job. You've done this lots. Any idea why the Mazda workshop manual says never to remove the top collars and if you do, replace the whole PPF!!! Go figure, but there must be something to watch out for?
Love seeing the work that you do, even though I'm a mechanic you still seem to be able to surprise me with different methods, love it!

Yeah ya made it more easier to take out the diff bushings than the other vids that make it more harder to take out thank you guy

Great trick, this will save a lot of time! What kind of air hammer are you using? Looks like the bushing came out fairly easy.
Ingersoll Rand Air Hammer 114GQC
This video is excellent, it successfully prevented me from doing this job this way. Thank you!
sickest miata out there! inspired me to work on my miata also!
Thanks dude!
Im just here watching you build one awesome car!
=)

would be interesting for sure!
Never seen a fuel pressure gauge under a car! 😅
I thought you had the racingbeat brace? did you switch to the Flyin' Miata one or did you always have this?
I actually own both - the FM is way beefier and preferable.
@@OMGBUILDS thanks for the input man. For 30 more I guess flyin Miata is the one to get then

Your car looks really clean, do you think this would work on a 189,000 mile 23 year old bushing?
Thanks for the support Ma brother 🙌🏽🙌🏽
@dankwenes Happy b-day, keep up the awesome work.
Great work! I need those hammer tools lol
Amazon!
Good video, good sense of humor, you should have a show on motortrend. Btw wife's birthday is 19th December. I make sure she gets two gifts!!
Do you need to remove the little collars on the ppf?
@is_ivan_
Really needing some engine mounts, mine are stock and from 1989 so they need to be replaced. Lol
Steeeeve_deal your MX5 is pure inspiration man. from New Zealand😍🤘🤠

Sanded it down!
10:36, he just uses an air hammer in a circular motion around the edges of the oem rubber bushing.
@jjtuner
For the AWR mounts! 🤞

I'm very very love miata. So, i think your miata is awesome. Can you upload the time lapse build of your miata. I'm so curious with that.
Thanks.
thanks - I don't do timelapses since it isn't very helpful when teaching people how install are done.
It is very helpfull another men with miata who want to build a miata. So i think you can mix all the vidio you build your miata and make a time lapse. Thanks
@martinismartian quick detailer is the best! Hope you win the Hot Wheels car!
Anyone have any ideas how to do this without an air hammer? I have access to a lift too if that helps.

I wish my car was as clean on the bottom as yours. Anything i touch on the bottom of my car end up with rust dirt and grime falling down.
