I ended up buying the brand Xforce Laceless or Quickwrap model at amazon and they offer me 5 times more lateral support than the MCdavis for half the price. I'm not a doctor so I can't recommend anything. I would go to a running store though. They may show you certain running shoes and ways to lace your laces that may help you. I don't think running with a brace is the best idea.

It's a little bit loose on the bottom for me. When I wrap the straps around it crinkles at the bottom. I bought that size because I will grow but for now having a size a bit bigger, is that okay?

I personally believe you have to use a bigger size, for instance. My shoe size is 8 1/2 , I bought the Medium size, but it's too tight even though I'm not using the laces. I believe Large size with the laces will do a better job, since you're also wearing socks under the braces. IMHO

Do these have a compression feel? I used the 2014 UA Highlights MC this past season and I loved the compression feel. Although, I'm not a fan of paying $140 every season.

The one with the additional straps will give more support.
Thanks for replying! The 195 is cheaper than the 199 on Amazon, so I thought that it would be of lesser quality.
They are just a little different. the 199 has stays in the side but the 195 uses figure 8s which help pull in the arch.

I recommend you see a physical therapist. I recommend these to prevent injuries and light sprains.

Luke Crabtree This brace is level 3 so its most protective. It cannot be worn with the highlights.

No brace can be used with the highlights. I would only use a level 3
