    One of the few u/tubers that actually explain things regarding setting up your radio with useful (or essential) information especially for newbee's... Top man... Thank you very much. ATB.

    Thanks for this. I’ve been learning a lot on these Taranis videos.

    Very nice tip and you made that nice and simple to follow. I recently learned about setting up heli's with throttle and pitch curves and it seemed very daunting at first but once you grasp the concept, it's a straight forward and interesting to learn about.

    Awesome as always painless m8 :D
    I just upgraded to a X7 and your Taranis/OpenTX has become my primary study course.
    Half a day of watching whilst tinkering and i had my X7 setup and pretty much know exactly what am doing with
    the basics.
    As always thanks m8

    Great video. From a newbie, very easy to follow.
    Quick question.....Can you apply this curve to the throttle by adding it to a switch?
    Thanks...Sam

    Good knowledge, i do set my throttle curves in betafligh.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's also an option but with this method you can change the curve 'on the fly' easily if you use a different battery or remove/add an action camera.. Happy flying!

    Dear Painless360, do you know how to make hovering throttle trim or hovering pitch trim? so we can trim using the dial button around the hovering point only. Thank you

    Hello Lee. Thanks for all your work. I have a question regarding the throttle curve. I use the Th% function and love it. However, I have realized that it takes into account the throttle stick position, not the actual power as determined by the curve you may define. Is there a way -perhaps a logical function- to make it do that? It would be a brilliant feature and make any kind of consumption telemetry unnecessary. Thanks!

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure that's possible. If you look at the documentation around the function it's supposed to be a very rough estimate anyway. Maybe in a future version they will add the ability to also take the throttle curve into account..

    Thanks... Was at a field... Couldn't figure it out on my brand new radiomaster flying my new quad thinking about how it would be really suited to having a slightly flattened curve around hover... Like and sub :) just want to add that hover for real rc heli pilots is above neutral because inverted hover is equally far below neutral and hardcore 3d heli flying is where the men outshine the mice😋

    masha Allah good explanation, and an excellent fix for a non-linear model

    Is there a way to assign that curve to a switch and swap between 2 curves by flicking the switch?

    • @Painless360

      Yes, it's common in the RC heli side of the hobby.. Check out my radio setup videos for basic helis on the channel.... Happy flying

    Hey, is it possible to do a pot throttle limit on mixed tank controls on a centered thumb stick?
    ...I mean I'm just lost

    So I bought 2306 2600kv motors, on all my other rigs I run 2306 24xxkv motors. I don't like how the 2600kv feel on the lower end, what should I do to make the 2600s feel more like my 2400? I have moved my endpoint on thottle but still isn't as responsive on the lower end as 2400s. Is it possible to get the same feel out of them?

    Hey, I want to fly close and fast over the ground, but I always have to add throttle again and when I remove throttle I crash into the ground. Does this Throttle curve help to fly low?

    Do you have to select the custom curve under the taranis mixer settings page too, or just the input settings page?

    • @SoSo-pg8sn
      @SoSo-pg8sn 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nagamooto You should select only one of them. If you do that input and mixer both, you will get twice curve effect.

    Short tips. Nice idea for a series. Looking forward to;
    Setting up sim games using a taranis.
    Updating firmware.
    Flashing a RX with eu or non eu firmware.
    Using scripts.

      All done already - see the OpenTX Mix School and Taranis playlists ;) Just add 'Painless360' to what you are searching for i.e. 'frsky receiver flashing painless360' to find my video on that.. Best of luck!

      Dohha, I should do more digging first. I recall trying to load taranis firmware about 4 years ago. The geek language used on that site assumed more understanding of terms than a first time flyer had. I was unsure about which firmware, which receiver, which version of taranis etc. I gave up and went flying.
      I will re-visit your tutorials and get my non-eu receivers working. Betaflight hex names - another bug. I fly a kombini yet at times the names of the hex have had little to do with the name kombini. Anyway, thanks for your contribution - will go and dig. Cheers.

    I only adjusted the offset and got the same results

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That will provide the adjusted hover point, the only thing you're not getting is the flatter throttle curve around the hover position. Happy flying!
