    Works! Been couple years ! Pause n see where vac hoses were changed over
    T piece is the clue! Tnx for boost gauge hose needed this!👍💪🏆

    just a heads up. i know the vids old now but its a little bit incorrect.
    the vac line change as shown disables the egr butterfly, not the swirl butterfly that was pointed to.
    to disable the swirl butterfly simply unplug the brownish connector.
    disabling the egr butterfly is the important bit.
    this is really only for the navara zd30 as the patrol/terrano version has no egr butterfly.

    Hi . I blocked off the EGR valve on my D22 yd . Do I have to do the swirl mod as well? My pugs are different from yours

    should add a boost regulator and boost gauge, fit a catch can, no need to alter the swirl butterfly mod as it makes no difference, diagram on page 752 in Nissan workshop manual, Emissions Control, the EGR is a system to wear out engines and keep Mechanics in a job, the effect of burning the gas into the engine can't be sound as the EGR get clogged up all the time and are rendered ineffective unless they get cleaned out on a regular basis, so most cars going around are not any cleaner on the emissions side.

    Your advice and theory on the "Swirl Mod" is not sound. It is best to leave it alone as it not primarily there for the EGR. It is there to help keep air velocity up in the runners at low revs and keep the swirl in the chamber. Catch-Can should be on ANY diesel. Blanking EGR on the ZD30 with a VNT whether it be the neutered version in the Nav's or the higher-strung version in the Pat's, you are likely to hit boost surges and the ECU killing power due to higher flows of exhaust gasses into the turbo.
    Just fit the whole NADS and be done with it.

      Runners? NAVS, Navara, PATS Patrols, NADS internet slang for testicles, engine and Emission Control, (EC) overall system, ZD30DDT system diagram found in Nissan workshop manual EC-752. that's page 752 in emission control.

      Hey I've also been told to drill an 8ml or so hole in the EGR exhaust pipe for a pressure outlet. Or should I not worry cause it's a load of shit? And just stick to the vid above?

    Hope you got a tidy $5k put aside for when the injector pump goes circa 300k- loads of fun!

      Mine died at 303k. Cost me $150 to fix if you know what goes in the vp44. Diesel mechanics will just want to sell you a pump. It's not the pump, it's the PSG that fails.
