Nice video, Tera !! Capcom does a good job of teaching u what to bring to quest by providing the guild-supplies earlier on in the game. Health potions, rations, etc. By the time the guild has stopped providing free stuff from the get-go in later ranks, u already know what to bring at that point ! Still tho...this is a really useful guide!! Thank you, Tera 🙏
The only thing you didn't really mention is that your customized radial menu can be locked to each saved item set. So, the same shortcut can be different things depending on which item set you chose to take with you. This is also why the radial menu recognizes your mantles from which slot they are equipped in, instead of which mantle they actually are.
Great video. Made me rethink the quantities of things I’m bringing. Going down to one drug and skin so I can gather while out on a hunt. Since they last till I cart anyways.
I think its only necessary for 1 cool/hot drink in the load out. This is just for the situation where you're dropped in the middle of the map. Because the quest provides a few in the item cheat at the start of quests.
Thank you for this guide. Do you have an item farming guide for different stages in the game? I found that when I was building the loadouts I didnt have the supplies to make a lot of it.
This was super helpful as a new player. I'd been avoiding items and crafting other than potions til now bc it was too overwhelming to go through the hundreds of items and ingredients and read ea one. I'll still have to figure out how to farm ingredients but just knowing what different items do is huge to get started.
The mega demondrug and mega armorskin are actually super cheap at the elder melder in iceborne. dont bother crafting, just trade for them in exchange for trash materials.
@@LegendaryDarkKnight602 I know this is late but pills dont last the whole quest the mega drugs do though same with certain mushrooms with mushroomancer
Just a question about radial menu crafting. Ik you ain't playing with pc controls but how do you set that shit up cuz usually i have open up the crafting list from the settings and craft during a hunt and can't do it while fighting something but I've seen people craft from the radial menu instantly. I've tried to set that shit up but when i do it just puts an X on the item and it doesn't let me use it.
You have to put the crafting ingredients in your item pouch before the hunt. For example if you have mega potion crafting on your radial menu then you need to have potions and honey in your pouch. If you don't have both ingredients then you will get the red X and be unable to craft them
The idea for barrels is because it is surprisingly common for monsters to go to sleep without being within capture range (Slept by a toad, a weapon with sleep, etc). So even if you plan on capturing the monster, it is still nice to have that free damage. But you should always bring both when going for normal monsters. Just remember to not grab traps when facing an elder dragon. And normally capturing does give the equivalent of 1 or 3 extra rewards and it also increases your investigation level more.
Day 2 of asking what sick looking knight armor you are wearing at the start of video. Also respect the video grind. Been getting back into MHW and theyve been extremely helpful
just started playing this nice game and after I made defender weapon in combine with a Dzora mail, things are much easier, nice explosion dmg.But now Im confused where to go next, the weapon looks much better then anything in the tree.(1.1k(310)explosion)…Thx for ur guides👍🏻
The Defender weapons and Armor were made for quickly getting through the base game so they are really overpowered. I would advise any beginner to not use these and instead craft weapons from monster parts. In my opinion this is far more enjoyable since your‘e not that op.
I disagree with carrying honey in a starter loadout. That is a late/end game strategy in my opinion. Almost zero players will need 20 Mega potions in low and high rank (outside of Base World endgame). Carrying honey on every hunt at that stage only serves to kneecap your honey income, because you lock yourself out of collecting more during the hunt, and will cause problems in the late game.
@@TheTrickyTwix Even so, who needs 20 megas during the average hunt? It's also harder for bowgun mains to cultivate honey, since they need to cultivate ammo.
With your Elder Dragon Loadout I managed to hunt my first Kestodon successfully. Great Guide!
Pfft! Only one? Try hunting a pack of Vespoids, then get back to me
When's Arch Tempered Apex Aptonoth coming anyway XD
Thank you Tera with this information I was finally able to defeat Great Jagras without carting multiple times.
You guys are defeating great jagras?
Whoaa, i am dying just defetaed by hornetaur
How?! Regular Jagras is carting me every time!

Bruh 1000 hours in i didnt know about the item bar settings 😅
Banger song choice 3rd strike bis!

Thanks for the advice, means I can just worry about crafting the pills, and speaking of do the pills last the duration of the quest?

I think the pills last like 20 seconds but give the biggest buff
learned a lot in the first 2 min ngl
I'm betting it was the fixed items you can disable? Not a lot of folks know!

Is capturing or killing is a matter of preference, or capturing gives more stuff? Just wondering why take barrels when I can take traps

Hello i need help i see in lot of build like orange armor and power talon? what is those pls ?
Love the SF:TS BGM.
2:43 How do you get so many items?
I hope they change the Talon/Charms to do percent based increases in Wilds. Even like 5-10% would be great.
Or just get rid of these
Thank you
5600 mega potions 🗿
*me, shoveling them at raging brachidios not knowing how to cultivate more than I consume*

That would be the Guild Palace Armor! One of the only armor sets that looks like it doesn't come from the game itself!

Is it me or do IB Monsters almost completely ignore dung pods. The utility power creep is real.
Holy crap I was wondering how to change positions in the item bar by changing positions of the items in the pouch itself. Bruhhhh
Hey I'm happy it helped then! It's a lot of management but it really helps in the end. Be sure to save it to a load out so it stays that way!
12 max potions nice
As a mushroom enjoyer with free meal 3 you shouldm't even bring any of those healing items
Are you a Mushroomancer? I just learned about this skill and it’s power a few days ago. Makes me wanna try it.
Herb best item xD
I like Makoto and Ibuki's feet
Did my man just recommend item loadouts completely WITHOUT EVEN MENTIONING ASTERA JERKEY?

Great info, very informative, but the music is giving me a migraine. try something slower paced next time cause it really pulls away from the video.
"12 max potions you guys" I literally carry 30 ancient potions 7 max potions, not bashing, not being negative just saying ^_^
