A little tip for hunting tempered monsters: From my experience (depending on the monster) tempered monsters can only be flashed between 1-3 times before they become immune (example: tempered vaal hazak becomes immune after 1 flash while tempered teostra becomes immune after 3) so when hunting tempered you wont need to bring more than the 3 flashpods and save the flashbug space for something else you want to bring such as more consumables or the like. Items that have more than one crafting "blueprint" still work for auto crafting, but only if they are the last in the crafting list. Didn't know about items crafting themselves if you where out of them but had the mats.
- While fishing for whetfish (or others). If you know what the fish looks like and it's on a body of water you can walk into. Like in AF zone one. You can use your Ghillie mantel and quickly capture the fish with your net tool. If done without the mantel the fish will run away and de-spawn.
- If you have the gear for mushroomancer. 1 - go into quest with active skill and just mushrooms to eat. Drop the might seed, (people watching this video aren't going to get much benefit from using it) drop the ingredients for life powder, get two traps, ALWAYS bring traps. Pick either mega barrel or the regular version, not both. If you can get a consistent supply of whetfish fins, bring them. If you're in MR, getting ancient potions is incredibly easy, always bring one. Antidote and nulberries, ALWAYS, you're going to really love it when you forget to bring one of these for the 20th time. Dung pods, personal choice, but you're going to have a shit time (ironic) during some hunts and nearly all MR hunts. I'd say it's unnecessary to bring crafting ingredients for max potions until MR. Mega potions will get you by just fine, especially if you don't build health boost. Bringing flash bugs is nearly completely irrelevant during most hunts, especially the higher ranks you go. Usually the 3 flashes you get will do just fine unless you whiff them.
Why antidote? Herbal medicine is better. I bring herbal medicines, can carry 5 which is usually enough. Also I usually bring herbal powder to heal others.
@@AdamJC88Zeitgeist Sorry, you can definitely use herbal medicine, however I use wide range and herbal medicine doesn't work with it. Completely valid to use just that if you don't use wide range. Although I know that this will probably get lost in the sea of comments, I wanted to say thanks for making this video. Even though I know that this is all just things that you already know, and that making this video probably didn't require a lot of time from you, since it's all things you already knew, for a noob like me who has been running with a poor item loadout for the past 200 hours of gameplay, it's invaluable.
You got a like the second you showed me you can modify your item bar. I've been hating these missing tutorials for what feels like years despite the game is fantastic. They could really use you.
Solid advice, personally i dont bother with half of those buffs unless its a fight im struggling with. I always keep honey at the farm and keep the rest swappojg out between devils blight, bowgun seeds etc as I need. I'm kind of hoping master rank brings back the no restock at camp from the older games. You should make a guide about how to get the most out of your farm, its essential to keeping stocked up without actually having to do gathering runs

I wish I've found the tip about the difference between the crafting radial menu and the use radial menu sooner. I mean, I've learned by myself, but I think that few people knows the difference. When you have a "use" item in your radial menu, the game will only craft 1 item when you're out of this particular item. The "craft" radial menu, on the other hand, allows you to craft crazy amounts of items ( essential for crafting bowguns and bow's ammo/coating ). So, mind the difference people out there! Great content BTW. Thank you for the tips GC
There was only one small video I saw when I started MHW when the game came out where it shows you how to change item menu. Saves me SOOOOO much effort It bugs me so much when I watch a stream, and person's menu isn't organized
holy cow, i never knew you could move your item bar like that, i assumed it was how the items were inside of your bags auto generated it. im a returning player and this will help soo much

dont forget to put shock traps and tranq pods in your loadout
Trent Sexton I was surprised that wasn’t included in the basic loadout
Capturing isn't really basic, I have a couple slay and capture loadouts depending on the monster.
It’s not part as basic because you wouldn’t bring that to hunt elder dragons but everything else can be applied everywherre
Had no idea you could reorganize that bar. 10/10 recommend
decided to watch this video out of boredom and learned something VERY useful. Thanks GC.
I hope you know even after 2 years later. People including myself come back to your guides for help. Thankyou on behalf of all those whom find your vids helpful/entertaining. Cheers mate!
I didn't know you could change the wheel the radial yes but the wheel
The one problem I have with this is where's the null berries
I like the boss Ross talk while you educate hunters. I didn't know a lot of these existed cause the game never tells you about it from the start. This would have saved a lot of people had they known stuff like this existed.
I needed this organization in my life. Thank you so much.
Approaching 50 hours and I can't believe how deep this game is. Organizing item bar = Mind blown! Thanks DUDE
me at 3am: i have to change my loadout!!
lol, same :')
Lolololol
Although I know that this will probably get lost in the sea of comments, I wanted to say thanks for making this video. Even though I know that this is all just things that you already know, and that making this video probably didn't require a lot of time from you, since it's all things you already knew, for a noob like me who has been running with a poor item loadout for the past 200 hours of gameplay, it's invaluable.
This was a great video, I'm already in 400 hours and I wish I knew this D:
Also, I was not ready for that Undertale song.
250+ hours and I just realized you can customize your item bar?!!???? THANK YOU!
I would definitely recommend this video to all mhw players.
Man, I've played for 170 hours and have NEVER organised the item bar... it was such a pain in the neck to scroll for everything. Thak you!
3000 hours? Thats the tutorial 🐒 GREAT VIDEO btw
c0marrr real 3000 is true love
Does this guy have a life outside of Monster Hunters?
Christian Olmeda doubt it
@@christianolmeda938 kind of the point since he's getting paid from it you don't say to someone who works a job as "not having a life"
@PlayzMasterMODS 20XX not an addiction it's a job for that guy, although he probably got burned out of the game a few times
You got a like the second you showed me you can modify your item bar. I've been hating these missing tutorials for what feels like years despite the game is fantastic. They could really use you.
You arrange your Item Pouch the same way Dmitri Mendeleïev arranged the Periodic Table. Love it.
I'm HR74 and never knew that you could arrange the itembar 🤦🏾♂️ you just gone a change the game! Much respect 🤜🏽
And after 900 hours there is always something to learn. Never knew that you can re order your items. This is a life changer. Thank you
You've earned the like and the sub. Nice vid bud.
Almost 200 hours and i didn't realize you could rearrange your item bar... Thank you
Knew most of the organization stuff, still a great video. However I have a problem, i save my loadouts, but the item bar and radial menus never seem to save with them. Drives me insane. I am on PC.
You have to re-save after you make changes . But I am on console, so don't know if that's a problem for P.C.
@@redphoenix1634 I do resave the changes is the problem. And it never seems to help. My item bar and radial menus are always a cluster fuck. not matter how many times I sort them and resave. :(
i just gotta ask: do you save gear loadouts after organizing your wheel? cuz the wheel gets saved with item loadouts not gear loadouts.
@@SinceroOdio I saved the item loadouts. Not a complete dum. :P
@@redphoenix1634 Item order *can't* be saved. Changes every time you pick up items. Same with ammo order. But the radial menu should save with each item loadout.
After 200 hours in the game, I realised that Item Bar can be rearrange, thanks to you. You changed my life, thanks xD
YOU CAN REARRANGE THE ITEM BAR. I've always thought that why that option was not available.
Rearranging the item bar... WHY THE HELL DID NO ONE TELL US WE COULD DO THIS BEFORE NOW?! Thank you kindly Gameconomist; you reminded me why I subscribed to you so long ago. ^__^
Bring only one demon drug? And no stamina cap recovery items? I don't know if this is just me, but I think I die way more often than you're expecting me to
@Steven Luoma see, but it's much easier to simply have 3 demon drugs and some rations in my setup because then I don't need to go to the tent every single time I die... that would be really annoying and it's just easier to bring them
Ok, now I understand why people talked about bringing 13 flash pods along, it was crafting all along. Thank you for the very clear explanations.
400 hrs... just learning about Item bar modification... jesus...
Dude! Did not know about the item rearrange. I waste so much time looking for stuff during a hunt. This will help out a lot!
Uhhh where’s the shock traps and trank bombs
Not very relevant for elder dragons, if it's a regular monster just bring those along
Some of your tutorials actually pull me thru the battles now vs me fighting to find my poorly arranged items, fighting Odagon now and these tips kick ass,you rock, slayer!!
September September September where are you?
This is an incredibly useful video. As someone who doesn't play with friends and has no experienced friends this helped me massively with small tips that no one really talks about so thank you very much!
I don't know why but I just don't use the radial menu at all, maybe I'm just too used to playing the older MH games 🤣
us veterans are so used to it it's hard to get used to using the radial menu hey?
Just getting back into Monster Hunter World again, switched from Xbox to PC. I'm really glad you made this video. I don't have any experienced friends to ask about this stuff, and I feel bad if I'm not optimised when hunting with randoms.
As someone who finally got around to playing MHW on PC and felt overwhelmed by all of the possible items, this guide is fantastic! Thank you!
I've only seen one person on here who went over actual item loadouts. Glad to see another
I've played for so many hours without realizing you can edit the Item Bar. Thank you so much!
Best tutorial MHW tuber yet. Such a comprehensive and informative guide. Articulate and easy to digest.
Omg thx for that item bar thing playing for over 100 hours and didnt notice that, changed my life.
Oh my good god .... I’ve played this game for 500 + hours and never knew you could change the scroll menu . Than you !!!!
How tf
Saves me SOOOOO much effort
It bugs me so much when I watch a stream, and person's menu isn't organized
The Item bar tipp is a gift of the gods for me thank you man
Duuuuuuude I had no idea that the game crafts lifepowders for you when you double click. Thats magical. Thank you so much for that.
not just lifepowders, any items are crafted automatically given you have the ingredients.
I have almost 200 hours in the game and didn't know about the item bar thing. Really good video. Also nice to see another person using hunting horn!
holy cow, i never knew you could move your item bar like that, i assumed it was how the items were inside of your bags auto generated it. im a returning player and this will help soo much
The barnos jacket is super useful in general in Elder's Recess. It has the skill 'Heat Guard' which means you don't have to remember to chug Cool Drinks all the time and can just waltz on in to those areas.
