I worked security for a Metallica show and the Crowes opened for them. I was doing some rock star nonsense for one of the Metallica guys after the Black Crowes set and just happened to see the brothers at craft services. THEY WERE SO NICE AND DOWN TO EARTH. I told them they were my favorite band and Chris said immediately, “who’s your top 5?” . And we talked, like really talked for about 20 minutes. They then each got into some unassuming cars and i was just smitten at that point. Best band ever, best guys ever.
The second I heard Shake Your Money Maker...i died. I remember. I was 14? Anyhoo, i love them, always will. I got to see them live in Toronto with Grace Potter at Massey Hall in 2008. I also died. Thanks for uploading this...as i don't have a vcr anymore. But i watched this a zillion times :)
I actually fell in love with them purely from happening to notice them on a cover of Q Magazine in UK. Chris's T Shirt 'New Kids Suck' did it for me. Bought album and my out of tune renditions of 'Seeing Things' went on for ages. Those days music was something you could kinda hold, the albums were a part of the experience. Not much Internet then. Later found out Chris has same birthday as me, but him born 1968 I believe. 1990s a fun decade.
I kid you not, I must have watched this film 200 times or more back in the 90's! And I lterally wore out Black Moon Creeping & in particular Sometimes Salvation, that clip quite literally changed my life & what I considered a great vocal to be. I still watch it a least a couple of times a year even now in 2020 but just found myself wandering here tonight out of convenience. Thanks for the upload FoanFoot55. Memories of such great times in music.
Thank you for uploading. I burned this one up after playing black noon creeping about 2000 times. I thought it was gone for ever. Just like I remembered it. Amazed I have any memory at all! Southern harmony just hit full belt for me.
Same. I remember loving this album so much, fuck. Black Moon Creeping, fave song. The whole album i lived and breathed for an entire year or more. And i watched this movie a zillion times.
Piedmont Park ,Atl---. Was there. Have pics of many same characters in this doc/movie ...and after 100 views...I haven't seen myself or ex wife..she was a beauty! And what a show it was. Truly hard to describe the mini 4 hour Woodstock; rain and all..... Special time to be a Crowes fan and in that spot in the world.
I never saw this doc. before until today, i guess i should read Steve's book. Can the brothers really be as bad as people say they are? Strange version of jealous guy, but i love that song. What is up with gorman s haircut during thst russian show.
The ramped up music the Crows put behind the song Hard to Handle reminds me it has a similar feeling and resemblance of the song Even Flow by Pearl Jam. I could be wrong, not an expert or a no it all.
Been a fan since day 1. Love love love this band. I've got the biggest bro crush on Chris Robinson. Lol. And I'm straight as an arrow. Dude is the quintessential front man. Rich on guitar.... just a great story and band. Saw them open for the Grateful Dead on 04-07-95. They killed that stage!! Saw them 06-11-22.... still killin' it!!
@@soulbravo1761 i actually always wondered that myself..i remember thinking that the bass on 3 snakes sounded a little odd.. not bad.. but just not..Colt. And then recently heard that was around the time he got sober so.. it happens. Cheers
And yeah i think they didn't and don't talk much about Colt because they feel he quit them where as with Ford it was the other way around. That's just my guess
I'm about half way through the audio-book, and it certainly provides an alternate image of the band members. I keep trying to hold a rosy image of the Robinson brothers, but it's getting harder and harder as the book goes on.
That book is a lot of sour grapes and one dude’s recollection. Steve was grinding axes throughout the whole book. Sure there is some truth to it all but funny how he is the angel in every story.

I wore my VHS out watching this so much in high school. I love it so much.
Ahh the Crows. One of my favorite groups. They ROCK. Thanks for sharing.......
I'm honoured to share a birthday with Chris. December 20th rocks 🙏♐🏹

Stephanie P Best band ever.. I love all kinds of music, but when I wanna get real, Crowes are my go to.. Cheers from Kentucky..
Glad you didn't ACTUALLY die :^)

Did you read the book?
Trust me you’ll love it
I smashed it over a weekend wished that book wouldn’t end.
love how Chris Robinson gave props to Greenville, South Carolina @ 20:25. :)

February 21st 1993 i was 18 and saw the Crowes at the coliseum Evansville In. Been a fan since
Still racking my brain on how Johnny Colt could start with these guys and wind up playing with Train???!!!!!
😂. Me too
@@ianandkimmaness4465he played bass for Lynyrd Skynyrd for a couple years too
He’s prob worth more than Chris and Rich combined. And it has nothing to do with Train
@@TR-yi8upwhat do you mean? The royalties must be a good base income for the bros
@@Peakabike look into his career. He’s owned properties, including a studio and rented out backlines for bands for decades now.
Real good bio and I love the humor . Chris Robinson and Steve Gorman , so funny.
I just love the crowes !!!!!!

He can only dream of having hair as nice as Ronnie Woods!
You got those eyes
Anyone know the name of the song playing at 1:05?
black moon creeping!
I've been wondering for about 20 years now, what is that song They're jamming around 28 minutes into the video?
Me too haha
Its YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY
The 90s!!!!
At 26:44 what song and band/artist?
Tripe Face Boogie by Little Feat
@@tailcoatsixkillerTHANK YOU!
6:26 - Chuck Leavell ? Back at 30:36
Sorta looks like him.
Does anybody know the song at 28.00 please!!! Always wanted to know
omg me too! I have no idea.
it sounds so cool, everytime iv seen this iv wanted to know haha
They are just jammin'
Looks like a sound check to me..that's a stage
Sounds like the ending to “darling of the underground press”
Where is babble when ya need it ?2223
When the black crowes was a real band not the quasi cabaret act they are now
lol. Whatever
Yup. Sad but true.
He crashed!
I wonder where that 1st guy is today.......plus pretty wild that Meghan Markle is singing back up at 2:35....
Shame they use do rock. Lost the soul when Marc and Johnny Left!
Why did Johnny Colt left the band?
Sounds like a combination of sobriety and getting forced onto the sideline while rich played bass on their 4th record
@@tailcoatsixkiller Tnx for the info! They never talked about johnny during interview in some magazines. They only addressed their issue on Marc Ford.

If you read Steve Gorman's book, you get a pretty good sense
Read Gorman's book.....oh boy! You wont see Chris the same!.....listen to him talk about money, and greed.....what a phony he became!

Jason Lee !
Who cares? If I wanted something other than the pleasure of watching this film and talking about it I would be doing just that.

That Unplugged show sounded F’ing terrible - terrible mix and engineering. Can’t hear the guitars hardly at all
