During the 70’s we used to take the center cover of led zeppelin 4 and hold it next to a mirror to reveal the “beast” hiding in the mountains mirror image. Try it!
I'll add my insight if it helps, first the swan song logo, not to encourage any" satanic panic" conspiracy theory but as an occultist myself , the figure is very much a representation of "Lucifer" meaning the light bringer but also because the mythology around Lucifer is like Prometheus in that being cast out for bringing enlightenment , meaning the balance of the cost sharing your art .also in Crowley's occultism is the concept of gaining "the knowledge and conversation of the holy guardian angel" and the figure is representative of an angel falling by the throws of passion. I'll also add that the song stairway to heaven is a poetic version of a Beltane/spring equinox ritual, the song structure is very ritualized and doesn't follow a standard song structure. Also it references "the piper" the god Pan who was sacred to Crowley and might be Zep's version of Crowley's"hymn to Pan" . Hope I have added something to your conversation great video btw
6:04 Good info thank you, was curious about this one. I always knew it meant “something” and it stood out from the others. I’ll look more into that book.
Robert Plant said that there was a tribe of gypsies that lived to the west of his property in Wales, whom he befriended. They were very poor and non-materialistic, but happy. Hence the lyric “ there’s a feeling I get, when I look to the west, and my spirit is crying for leaving”…
All I know is that in the early to mid 60's a young American female singer who moved to London began dating an even younger guitarist who became smitten with this girl, who eventually dumped him leaving him broken hearted. The young guitarist had written a song about and decided to call it after the journey up the stairs to her flat. The girl was Jackie De Shannon, the guitarist was Jimmy Page and the song? Stairway to Heaven.
Hows it going guys? Im the guy who scratched Jimmy Pages guitar while doing work at his house in 2016/17, wasnt even my fault - he was on something and trying to have me hold his guitar and let go before my hands were there, i caught it but the bottom swung and hit other guitar and scratched it. The guy he talks about in interviews that is supposed to have ducked him and he can't find him - thats me, only i didn't duck him and he's been fucking with me the whole time. He could have filed an ins claim even tho it wasn't my fault but wants me to pay. He has half way stalked me ever since calling all my employers, random messages here and there. He flips between he is sorry and I owe him a million dollars for his guitar. He has baically ruined my life over it.
He called the band the new Yard birds then led zeppelin. They did a concert in Germany. They change there name To the nobs. Because zeppelin Name.cheers
Quite a few inaccuracies in this video. Too many that I know you did not do your research and your video is not worth watching. Led Zeppelin was originally going to be called "The New Yardbirds". The Yardbirds were a separate group that ended and Page wanted it to keep going. It became "Led Zeppelin". Also, Page didn't purchase The Tower House until 1972, several years into his Led Zeppelin career and long after he and Robert Plant met and started working together.
Page was living in his Pangbourne boat house when Plant first came to see him. He could not afford The Tower House at that time. This is all out of order.
If Page couldn’t get the occult books that he wanted in the 70s, how did he read Crowley’s “Magick in Theory and Practice” when he was 15? It seems that there is a missing person in his life story..
crowleys Magick in Theory and Practice would have been alot easier to get a hold of since it was published in England in the 1920's, most of the rare occult books jimmy wanted would have been 17th century french occult books which were alot harder to get ahold of
You are waaaaaay off bro 😂 you can’t even begin to understand these symbols unless you’re looking at em from an occultists point of view…. They are all magical runes but you’re just guessing at what they mean to Led Zeppelin…. The source for the section on the four symbols I used was actually from an interview with Robert Plant. You can’t really get a better source than, well… from the source itself. If you don’t believe me, there are thousands of books and articles to choose from where they cite this interview with Plant when explaining the imagery of the symbols.
@@theeleusiniansociety that’s why I recommended Mr mythos… there’s a lot of well maybe plant was reading a book or possibly this is what happened… even the explanation you gave for the symbols is off… 🤷🏽♂️ they are magic symbols and page was a magician plain and simple… pages clothes he wore on stage were magical robes just like Crowley used to wear and when he was playing his guitar with the violin bow he was casting spells on the crowd… page was a follower of thelema and Crowley and that’s what those symbols were… so in all reality those symbols have more to do with the number 666 than you give credit and kind of weird how you just dismiss the devil like you did like he couldn’t be behind it either… page knows the devil is real Crowley sure as hell did why don’t you???
Just a few off the top of my head.... 1. In July of 1968, Page and Plant met at Page's home in Pangbourne on the Thames, not at the London Tower house. Page did not even come to own Tower house until 1972. 2. Kashmir is not played at any point with a cello bow. You're likely confusing this with the song, 'Dazed And Confused' from the first album. 3. The lyrics to Stairway To Heaven. Robert literally wrote down 90% of the lyrics on the spot when Jimmy Page first introduced the basic acoustic sketch of the song to the other bandmembers. All under 10 minutes or so. Fans tend to go overboard on the meaning of the lyrics, and Plant didn't take the time to dwell so deeply on their meaning, and that's that. Plant was reading a book on Celtic history at this time, so ancient history of that area of Britain was fresh in his mind. There's nothing more 'occult' about it. It's just that fans have always wanted to see things that were never really there to begin with.
Plant was also a reader of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. The character Gollum and place of Mordor is mentioned in the song "Ramble On" in Led Zeppelin II. BTW, I see that you are a fan of Zeppelin when your username is taken from the song "The Battle of Evermore"@@MJEvermore853

This is not entirely true, Most of the lyrics came from a “presence” that was channeled
@@lancecabaniss8591 cunt
Why then did Robert Plant claim that he came up with 80% of the lyrics on initially hearing the music ?
