At their best and this them at their best, The Black Crowes were playing peerless rock and roll. Quite simply one of rock music's finest bands of the past three decades.
100% absolute fact. Most underappreciated rock drummer of the last 30 years, full stop. The Gorman Groove is every bit as much a part of the Crowes sound as Rich's riffs and Chris' voice.
He may be a great drummer but that has nothing to do with his morals...he could of done more to help the Brothers they all are a bunch of druggie marijuana loosers drunkards who do not care or appreciate there fans...Overrated...Rich is still good looking though
I wanted to praise the drummer, but then I thought about praising the keyboard player and the rest of them all...this band just fits together like solid
Amazing job by Joukje’s Womb of the free in getting the absolute maximum (both sound- and imagewise) out of a VHS tape I just recently found in my basement. The tape was made for myself back then being the director of this tv multi cam registration for VPRO TELEVISION. Several songs on this tape have never been broadcast until today. Thank you so much again. It’s great to see fans (including myself) still enjoying this great show 26 years later. 🔥🔥🔥
From 92-97 for me they were the best band of all time each album in those 5 years were fucking great also I do enjoy other records and eras of the band but holy shit this era was good
I was at this gig in '95. Great to see this again. 27 years and at least 7 concerts later still my favorite band! Last show seen 03 october '22 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam! Again great show! 🙂
I am so glad I got to see every tour since High as the Moon, but that said without Steve I won't see them again, at least I got to see one of the greatest rock bands of all time many many times in my life, An Evening with The Black Crowes will be missed
Killer show and sound. To me, this is the Crowes in their finest form. Thanks for posting. Great memories and a few doobs later, still crankin in 2024! ✌️
The Crowes, what can I say except those memorable times with great music. As for me , I guess, I'm still stuck in the 70's recovering from Woodstock 69.
Ballad In Urgency is done so well the guitar accents and organ are a blend that pleases the ear all too well, Vocals and mix are tight and agree with Brian Henson's post about Steve Gorman the guy is a machine in the same company as John Bonham imo. Bravo to the impeccable audio and video quality! The Crowes are "clean as a whistle, smellin like a rose" in this one! I believe the Mark Ford era to be the best, much like the Mick Taylor era of the Stones.
this has to be the best sounding & visual videos on TH-cam..if there's one better, let me know. Is it me, but Marc Ford seems to channelling the late Paul Kossoff. thanks for posting,
Great thing about him, is he can morph into what someone really likes in a player (in this case, you're hearing Kosoff), at any time for any song bringing a personality into the song. The way he can weave in and out so effortlessly and play brilliantly over and over, makes him one of the all time greats. You can find these examples when he's just playing an acoustic, too.
Big fan a the black crowes..saw em foe the firzt time in 92z, high az the moon tour..front row seats..caught the only drumstick , the great steve gorman threw that night after the final encore song..ave it in a cuztom frame with the concert stub an rollin papers... 30 yrz ago..that drumstick iz still with the frame hangin on ma bedroom wall..me and my sis, went and saw a phenomenal band put onna great show..saw em 2 times in the middle 90z afterwardz..never dissapointed with a band , full of great muzicianz, and the best front man ive ever seen or errd...luv the black crowez..oh yeaahh...BCZ..yeaah
Hello..Thank You...Great new song...Understood the love , ❤️ will always hold on... peace, dignity. Self love and most selfless respect... olging in my heartof 💕..
Outstanding material and quality. I saw them in Sheffield UK on this tour and they were great. Probably at their peak powers and this video demonstrates that perfectly.
I was in Barcelona Three Snakes And One Charm tour (I believe it was in june 1995, at Sala Zeleste) , wiht my young girlfriend... We put in front of Marc Ford, specting to listen to the music very similar to the album Amorica or The Southern Company And Musical Companion. At half hour to concert we tryed to change our position, because the Marc Ford's notes resulted very stranges for us and dicided stay in front of Chris Robinson... Maybe... or surely by today I will not change of side... Anyway... the concert was really fantastic and extraordinary... Mistyc and so great. I was happy to find a band like THE BLACK CROWES improoving and jamming in his own show!!! Amazing. Thanks for do that. And also Amorica - Womb of the Free for share with all us this splendid video. Thanks a lot!!!

Fantastic!! I have been waiting since ’95 for this never broadcasted songs to surface. Wonderful Multi Cam video and great sound , listen with headphones and feel the vibe of the venue. The Black Crowes in their prime. Thank you both.
It really is... Thank you for mentioning... Almost like Eddie seemed like he was learning how to play it that way in Rich was talking him through it fascinating

This is absolutely incredible. So grateful to watch this! What a gem! Non-fiction!so good 🔥 Crowes at arguably their best. Such a free, beautiful, spiritual sound :)
I understand the thing called evolution and live in the moment, they're still good but the power (energie) from '91 till '95... Oah The high zs the moon tour...with Marc Ford you can't go wrong
I am so glad that you uploaded these! 💜 I had a vhs with some of this era with Chris Trujillo on percussion! About melted that thing... ...wonder if it's in the barn...
Accept NO lmitations. THIS is The Black Crowes.
At their best and this them at their best, The Black Crowes were playing peerless rock and roll. Quite simply one of rock music's finest bands of the past three decades.
Man, Marc Ford looked so cool with his long hair, t-shirt, guitar, and cigarette hanging from his mouth. What a great guitar player!
LOVE seeing my main man Eddie Harsch on the keys! RIP.
What a setlist! Amazing performance. They were untouchable back then.
91-97 they were The most Rock n Roll, Rock n Roll band in the universe.
Saw them about 30 + times, mostly in that era...no question.
Long haired galoots. Eddie ! Bongos .
2005-2006 reunion shows were incredible.
Steve Gorman is criminally underrated. He never ever let things fall apart live. Just kept the engine chugging along.
Felt the same about Johnny colt.
100% absolute fact. Most underappreciated rock drummer of the last 30 years, full stop. The Gorman Groove is every bit as much a part of the Crowes sound as Rich's riffs and Chris' voice.
The Crowes suck without Gorman.
This is one of the finest shows ever, 95-97 nothing compares.

Thank you both for sharing this gift 🎁 ✌🏼

Such a great era. It can't be denied that young Rich and MFF were the greatest duo of the 90's. Few are even in discussion.
Can smell the essence...
I've seen this so many times just unbelievable especially that version of wiser time

Fantastic. Man... these guys were good.
Jeffrey Gorman and the Crowe Suit - the unsung hero of rock-and-roll.
Love the interest of music they make...
This is the best I've heard Gorman play. He's killing it more than usual.
One of the best rock drummers in the world. Great feel, gives the band the meaty low end they need.
I don't think their current drummer uses a bass drum pedal.😂

Power and brilliance in 1996 and 1997, too. '91, meh. No Ford. Eddie and Marc changed how the Black Crowes could sound. That simple.
