  • A walktrough a new 2024 Jayco Starcraft Bushpack 15.48-3 that we are considering buying. Its the smallest carvan that we have found that has bunks for 2 kids, a inside ensuite (toilet and shower combo) and an inside kitchen.

    Time for me to watch some Australian camping videos. Been watching mostly US-based camping/rv/overlanding videos

    Awesome guys. Bit more room than the rooftop for sure 🤣 . The little apprentices seem to like it as well. Sounds like a fun family adventure! Choosing the right caravan can be exciting but also challenging. Looking forward to seeing which one you pick! Safe travels and happy caravanning! 👍🍻

    Hi Guys, it might be worth looking at a Snowy River, look at as many vans as poss you will know which one is for you when you walk into it, even the older Kokoda vans are a good choice 👍🏻Take your time Good luck guys

      Thanks Lorna. I have actually spoke with a Snowy River dealer in Sunny Coast but there is none where we are currently in Hobart.

    I refused to get a hybrid, the wife said she likes me cooking outside, We get our new Jayco in 2 months and it’s got a indoor kitchen,

      @@yindyamarra congrats mate. Hope you enjoy it. I’m not a big fan of hybrids either. They seem very heavy for their size. I get that’s a consequence for their ruggedness but I could do without it.

    Sorry guys I can’t make any recommendations, we are in a New Age Mantra Ray that we brought second hand. It was already a few years old but was never used at all ,it still had the plastic covers on the mattresses and bits and pieces. The couple that brought it towed it home and never got to use it. At 58K it was an absolute bargain. But what is good for us may not be good for you guys, off road equals extra money and weight, but you do some pretty incredible trips. We had a 15’ Jorgensen Wallaroo which I absolutely loved but it didn’t have a toilet and shower so we sold it and brought an English van an Eddiss which was super light weight and incredibly well appointed but was written off after we put it in for a service (long story) so then we had a Avan Espire 555 which was also reasonably light,which I also loved and would of been quite happy to keep but the bride unknown to me wasn’t happy and found the manta ray on line. To me it seemed to be the same as the Avan but it has more bench space,which according to the bride is a very important thing and it has a 3.5kg washing machine which she loves as well. So anyway four vans in five years and she’s now couldn’t be happier, it also helps that we never actually lost money from van to van (even the write off) touch wood 🤞🤞so how lucky was that. Along the way of course there was also the great tow motor debacle,petrol Nissan XTrail to diesel XTrail to Ford BA wagon to Nissan Navara 😂😂😂all shuffled through as weights increased along the way. Still pretty lucky there as well not really losing to much money along the way,it’ll be a different story now with the Navara of course because of the amount of money I’ve put into it to make it worth owning, I’ll just have to keep it until the doors fall off. Anyway you’ve got some big decisions ahead that only you guys can really make,spoilt for choice really. I personally wouldn’t stop looking for a good little used second hand one that fits your budget and requirements and can get lucky on occasions. And yes you’re right he is a bloody big seven year old,just stop feeding him,that will slow him up for sure 😂❤🙏. Happy travels,stay strong 👁️👁️😎😇🐕‍🦺❤️🇦🇺 wholly crap ,I’ve just looked,I’ve written a bloody novel,SORRY 🙏🙏

      Wow mate. Sounds like you’ve got plenty of experience with different vans now. I’d imagine it would be an interesting story how someone writes off a caravan during servicing. At least you’re in a good van now. I’m still looking on the second hand market and occasionally a good one comes up but they go just as quick and not being able to go see them myself makes it hard.
      The boy doesn’t stop eating and growing. At he eats almost everything that gets put in front of him unlike the lithe fella. Mate I always love reading what you have to allay so don’t be sorry for that. Hope you’re getting that van cleaned and ready for the wife.

    Have a look at the new 16ft crosstrak jayco. Got bunks and internal ensuite. Around 62k

      @AdventuringPals  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah saw these when they first came out. I do like it, especially with an internal cooktop and sink as extras. But the wife is really set on not getting another pop. And the price is very close to the 19ft StarCraft. But thanks for the recommendation. We do appreciate it.

    Hi neighbours……looking forward to following your travels. What happened to your old caravan ?

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Laura.I hope you guys are well. Thanks for finding us on here.
      Our old caravan was written of because it sustained some damage in the new years storms. That caused a water leak and eventually mould. The insurance company was worried that the mould might come back even after the repairs and so the write it off as the cost of repair was already close to half the value of the van.

      @@AdventuringPals well that’s better than the alternative of being in an accident so I’m very relieved. So looking forward to seeing all your videos and after I commented on the one I watched I found your first one when you first started this years trip. Your boys are so adorable…loved seeing them experience the dinosaurs. Safe travels and rest assured we will not only follow your adventures but make sure we keep any eye on your house and tenant’s from a very respectable distance. Look forward to the next upload 😊

      @@laurarodger3028 thanks Laura. We appreciate it. The boys are missing home. They want to play in the backyard again as where we are now in Hobart our backyard is very bushy with a healthy population of paddymelons. Great to watch but not much good for playing in. They get lots of visits to the local playgrounds to make up for it.

    Did you look at the 15.48.6 journey? We didn’t like how low the bunk was over the dinette.

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No we haven’t looked at them yet. I don’t think they have an ensuite and that is a definite necessity for us. The top bunk in the 15.48-3 folds away enough to make the bottom area much more usable so I think it makes it quite versatile, but potentially a bit fiddly to switch between bunks setup and dining setup. We are still undecided and exploring other options too. But thanks for the suggestion. It is appreciated.
