Great purchase! We have a 2021 Starcraft 19.61-3. Same layout and its absolutely fantastic for a family van. Agree sink drainage is a common problem. Definitely something up with the solar. I get 7-8A out of the obe panel. Need to do a solar /mppt/ battery/ inverter upgrade as well. Thanks for noting the issue with the dometic dust suppression system. Will definitely look at carafan instead. Look forward to more of your videos. We're preparing for a 12 month lap in 12-18months time. Plenty to work on in the meantime!
Thanks for the comment! We have had our DRS replaced and roof fixed under warranty which is good. The DRS has been updated- slightly different design. We have also upgraded 12v system and now have 400amps of lithium and more solar. No issues now! Cheers Adam
Great review and great van! I’m looking to do something similar. I’m also looking forward to your different perspective of travelling with children since other videos are often couples / 2 berth only.
Thank you! We love our new van. It’s been such a long time coming for us! Our trip is not until 2026 but it’s seems to be coming up pretty quick and we need to start planning! Thanks for watching
We too bought a 2020 Jayco Journey DX. Only used a few times. We have had no problems with ours. Hows the East West bed going? We were so glad to get a island bed in this one. Im sure you'll have many happy camping trips away in your van.
Hi Lyn, yes the east west bed is great. We wanted function over form. We found in our old Jayco that the sides of the bed was a bit of a dead space that could be better used. We rarely get up in the night so it definitely suits us. I just love the fact we have a full size queen mattress! I’m in heaven 🤣🤣
Hi guys, What ended up being the problem with your solar. We had the same problem with the Adventurer the model before the all terrain. Ended up being the batteries were not joined together. Have also had 4 years of pain with the brakes.
We had a one of the solar panels not working properly. We ended up changing the whole system to Enerdrive. That doesn’t sound great with the brakes. What was the issue?
Hi, thanks for the video, we are looking at getting a similar model to yours. Have you had it weighed and was the tare accurate? Also, did you measure the ball weight when loaded?
No washing machine yet. We will put one in the front tool box when we start travelling full time. I’ve heard of a few stories of them leaking in the van so we wanted to avoid that issue. Will probably mount it on the generator slide - not 100% sure yet. That way if it leaks it won’t damage anything. Thanks for watching!
Our top loader washer got an absolute work out on our last trip. 2 loads every second day and it worked well. If you can get a front loader it will use heaps less water.

Get rid of your scissor jack and get a suitable bottle jack ,my original scissor jack collapsed adjusting the drum brakes on the van.
Thanks for the tip! Will definitely swap it out!

I haven’t had it weighed but it did come with a weigh slip from Jayco. Tare was 2436kg with an ATM of 3036kg - 600kg payload
Did you get around to swapping out the Dometic DRS for Carafan ?
No we haven’t as yet. May look to do it just before our lap.
Four seasons!! Where was your mind at?? 😂
Im not following?
No washing machine?? Was that something you didn't want??
