- We received this side table from a person that previously gave us furniture from Facebook Marketplace. We appreciate her generosity in calling us when she had other pieces she wanted gone. Now we'll makeover this side table and give it a new life for someone to enjoy!

Jim & Cindy literally gave this tired, wonky side table a new life and look. I think the woodgrain and paint choice is timeless - new and fresh while honoring it's goat/elephant leg history. Jim caught me a bit off guard with 'turn out light' or was it 'turn off the camera'?, Either way, I was drinking hot tea and almost sprayed the room. I appreciate unexpected attacks of humor. Definitely an adorable couple.

I have these exact end tables that I purchased in 1983 when I got married.Mine are oak and still have the original stained oak finish, and, because we have taken much better care of ours than the owners of yours did, they still have no damage to the finish. For some reason they do tend to get wobbly and about every ten years or so my husband has to take them to the garage and tighten everything up .I was interested to hear the legs are called goat legs - I thought they were just called cabriolet legs.
We would have loved to have a set rather than just one! It's always awesome when furniture is well taken care of! Thanks Virginia!

It’s really nice, but I think the front drawer needs another coat of wash to make it a closet match with the top, cos they seem to be out of different woods, so it’s taken up the stain/wash differently 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

@@FurnitureWarriors apologies…ur right, in the light that I saw on ur video, it did look different. My thought was simply because watching a lot of furniture flipping videos, so many people find when they strip back the paint, they discover that the item is made from different woods cos the original manufacturer never needed the woods to match cos they were always going to paint the item, so no need to use the same wood. In the light when you showed the top of the piece, there’s also I panel of wood that looks a lot lighter, but as you say, that may just be the light? Thanx for taking the time to reply & have a flippin happy day 😁
I love your channel ❤️ I love that you have a respect for furniture and take the time and care to make repairs to make your pieces beautiful again. I have watched channels that just simply throw paint on there without even cleaning it and call it good. I do not like that I don't like seeing these beautiful pieces of furniture being treated like that.
I am needing your help I have an antique table that has been in storage for 10 years and it is VERY DRIED OUT‼️🥺 What do you recommend that I can put on it to restore moisture to it??? It doesn't need refinishing just something to put moisture back. I'd appreciate your help

I love the Fresh Sage. I have Lem Lem by Annie Sloan and I did a snack tray that same colour. However, I made the mistake and waxed the top. One year later, I'm about to redo it and apply a better topcoat. I've not used the lacquer you guys did before, but I like the topcoat. Looks real good. Cheers, Ivy.
If you use spray lacquer, just make sure to have plenty of ventilation and use a good mask! Thanks!
@@FurnitureWarriors Thanks, no spray for me. I use matte flat paint it by hand. I really love that that best for my stuff. I used a few different top coats, but not your brand, yet. Can't find it here, sadly, unless I go online.

Every time one of you flippers uses stripper I always think the same thing. "Dirty ol' stripper". When there isn't a pole around, they have nothing to do but strip. Nice job on that table. I didn't think it was that old until you turned it over.
