That is an amazing transformation. Originally it appeared almost crusty - now it's timeless and gorgeous. I like the subtle curve in the legs and the choice of black and natural woodgrain (teak no less!). The subtitles are perfect. An unexpected hand-off.

This turned out great! I would very much hate to attempt a reveneer on inner cubbies without taking it apart. Cost aside that would be a ton of work (with or without disassembly). I love this little table. It looks like something I would have in my own home. Beautiful work!

I have a question for y’all. I am touching up a crib that can be converted into a toddler bed. It had scratches on the top part of the rails and such. I sanded just the scratched areas. I did have to use stainable wood filler on a small spot. My granddaughter wants it the original stain which is mahogany. The only mahogany stain I could find was Howard’s Restore Finish. The places I sanded isn’t taking the stain. I then used some Pre stain. It still isn’t taking the stain. The Pre stain has dulled up some of the original stain where I accidentally got it. I am not sure what to do now. If you can give me any advice I sure would appreciate it. Thank you. Ann
Hi Ann! We would try a Gel Stain in mahogany. Gel stains tend to sit more on top of the surface rather than absorb into the wood as much. You may have to let it sit for a few minutes before wiping back to let it dry up a bit. If it's not enough, you can apply more. or let it sit a little longer before wiping back. If it looks dull after it's dry, you could use some wipe on poly to add some shine (satin or gloss), depending on how shiny the original finish is. Thanks!
