Tribute to old lady.
They all struggled to live by giving sacrifice of their beloved one's.
Great Movie.
Theme must be like that " Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage"
The actress who played Mrs. Rosen in this version did a wonderful job. I think Shelly Winters, who played Mrs. Rosen in the 1972 film, would have been proud of her performance in this version.
Good moive 🎉
The swimming in the underwater deck made my heart race lol
There was air on top of this corridor
Amazing movie. Definitely had my heart racing at times and no shortage of tearjerkers too. Also, is it just me or is anyone else surprised that the kid's camera still worked perfectly all the way till the end despite being submerged underwater and exposed to high heat in the engine room, especially given the technology at the time (that ain't no GoPro camera).
Yes my thoughts - wonder camera
Gopro's quit if they get warm!
He had it in a plastic bag
I was wondering how the battery wasn’t dead.
I thought the same thing to when it went through the water? Never thought about the heat ,but thought that about the water.
I thought it would be a shipwreck movie like many others. However, I was captivated. Great job!
Thanks, Popcornflix! I enjoyed this movie! Great cast, too. I was at sea in the Navy when the original came out and this was a featured movie on board. The Ship had new releases almost every night. Of all the movies I watched while at sea, this is the only one I specifically remember. Shelly Winters hitting the water was my favorite scene on that take. This movie was just powerful while sitting in my club chair at home. The original was a little too much when you're at sea.......and it's your first cruise! Keep the great movies coming, you do a wonderful job.
Thank you for your service sir.
Me, I was a ground pounder, U.S. Army. (26 yrs Combat Vet) We did learn how to climb cargo nets, that was a trip.
My uncle's were in the Navy, my dad ( John W. Tilson) was in the Coast Guard & wrote a book on the history of the Coast Guard.
One of the movies I remember seeing on post was a Rambo movie where Rambo fired a granide rocket launcher while in a helicopter, everyone roared with laughter as the chopper would have blown up from the back blast.
Being on a ship while watching one sinking must have been a bit unsettling indeed.
Again, thank you for your service 🇺🇲
@@ruthshelton-tp9ie That's quite a family you have there, my friend. The Coast Guard Academy is 19 miles from my house. Do you have an ISBN number for the book your dad wrote? I would love to read it! Wow, 26 years is a long time, I was in for 3 years, 1970/73. I would have done 30 but ended up Service Connected Disabled. I always love being around Veterans and look forward to going to the VA. There is a bond that's hard to explain, it's like you're with your buddies again. I'm honored that you posted to my comments, Ruth. Make no mistake, You can't be thanked enough for your service to our Country. Enjoy that retirement, you sure earned it!

Thank you both for your service! ❤️🇺🇸
I have family and friends in the military but when I tried to enlist when I turned 18, my hearing disqualified me (I have slight sensorineural hearing deficit; it doesn't disable me in civilian life).
I remember seeing an interview with Shelly Winters, she said she had intentionally gained 20 pounds for her role in the movie, because her character was written to be chubbier than she was at the time.
Not many actors/actresses anymore who will gain or lose weight for a role! George Lucas had asked Carrie Fisher to lose 10 - 15 pounds for her role as Leia, because he wanted her to look a little younger/smaller, but she never did lol.
Who ever wrote this did an amazing Job!
Somebody a very long time ago. There are other remakes and the story is different each one. the original at least I think it’s the original from 1974 is I think on this channel popcornflix I know it’s on TH-cam
Its a remake
Oh ok
@@sjefhendrickx2257 Wish I had said it like you did it would have been easier
These people inspired my life being strong and carrying on with hope and love. Lord hhelp me be stronger I'm going through so much but I love you.
Things better Cynthia?
That was one good movie, taught it was a typical titanic love story but it aint and its nice to watch. Posiedon the king of the ocean
Yes, I like this one and the original Poseidon Adventure (1972) better than the "Titanic" romance movie.
There's a movie about the Titanic that's better than the romance one, it's called "A Night to Remember."
Glad you could make it to part 2. It's just as good as part 1. Won't say any more about it.
Cool, I just watched part 1. . .
If I was 12 years old again when I saw this back in 72/73 this would probably be better😂😂😂
Thank you! I do remember the version with Shelly Winters ❤
She was brilliant in the original with the swimming scene especially. Sylvia Syms acting is great in this version too.
@@elsiemarina2572 She really was 💕
She was awesome! 🥰
❤❤❤@@elsiemarina2572
I just told my husband that I belive the elder lady was played by Shelly Winters, loved watching her. Good movies back when.
I saw the other version of this movie, both are great but the rescue in this one is fantastic.❤
you know theres 3 versions right?
no there are 4 the original beyond the Poseidon adventure this one and the 2006 one
An extremely good movie. I urge anyone considering this to watch it.
Its a comedy
This movie kept me at the edge of my seat all this time.
Great cast and the storyline is terrific
Its a remake in a bad way
@@sjefhendrickx2257 Given many a modern person will never watch the original, this is a good remake.
It does lack something of the original, but it does tell the same story, differently.
And for that reason I will just try to enjoy it.
Very nice movie
I mean
You're not completely wrong but you're not right
The cast is....OK
The storyline is better than 2006, but worse than 1972
@@funbricks1 although the 2006 version capsizes by a rouge wave, like the original 1972 version, and has better vfx and budget. Also, the soundtrack in the 2006 version is very good in my opinion
Rutger Hauer One off mine favorite actors Rip ❤
Enjoyed the movie. Actors were all excellent. Thank you.
All in all it's a good movie. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to all in love and light!🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💙🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼💛🙏🏼💚🙏🏼
Excellent movie! Great cast and well scripted.
I like how you get to like the old lady and the people with her
Love RUTGER HAUER and the Script writers did an outstanding Job on this Film.
Back when television films 🎥 were excellent 👌 not like the crap today
Ikr! I love these older TV films. Now, I don't even use my TV for anything except to watch DVDs and as a screen for games.
Very brave passengers entering that room full of fire
Fantastic movie but wow a total devastating disasters, brilliant movie and then again so sad. Thank you for sharing this magnificent movie in two Popcornflix 👍🏼👍🏼💐🇨🇦
Finally a remake better than the original, thus usually never happens, what a great movie.
What the how is 😂this better than the original
@@michellerogers2996 I'd say that the extra time gives us more of a chance to get attached to the characters, making deaths more impactful in this version.
2006 and 1972 version are better
@@CaseNancarrow i get the case for 1972
2006 has better vfx, but you're bugging if you think the film overall comes near to the 1972 or 2005 version
@@x-fun3149 your idiot you know that? the 2005 is the worst out of all of them just look rating's on IMDB it got a 4.1 while the 2006 remake got 5.7 and the original got a 7.1 god even 1979 sequel beyond the Poseidon was better and that one was a bad movie.
Modernised version i appreciate their effort.❤❤❤❤❤
Mrs. Rosen. You performed brilliant! I dont know your real name but Belle. Well done. 😢😢😢😢
It was Sylvia Sym who played Belle Rosen - may she RIP
This remake is superior to the original one which is unusual. Great movie!
The cast is very interesting with Robocop, Pony Boy, My Bodyguard, Mr. Police Academy, the guy from Cocktail, and the villain from Blade Runner.
Egyszer már láttam, de újra megnézve is érdekes volt! Köszönöm a feltoltest! ❤️
Magyar ❤️
I love all three Poseidon movies!
So my idea of reason that Poseidon from 2005 capisize is:
Modern Cruise ships are prepared for Cross Flooding: Left comp. sinks and to make left list less they sink right one. So idk how tere are many options(like bc of Storm, by terrorists) theese doors were closed. So it happens:
-bomb explodes on the port(left) side
-water floods some food storage and preparing areas on the port side
-Martin spots the ship slowly tilting
"The ship is sinking"
-water gets to more open port areas
-ship with a lot of water, people, no stabilizers and things falling capisize
-it does is faster and faster bc of all weight on port
-ship is turned over
-water that ship have collected Goes into some corridors and areas up the water level
-windows, doors and other hole gets more water
-ship sinks by bow

Whoever copied this movie and not get copyrighted is a legend
I’m also surprised such an amazing movie like this was allowed on TH-cam, cause I know have seen this movie somewhere else
@rebeccavlogs4401 I was on NBC I think years ago
the hole in the stern near the end mysteriously disappeared and reappeared again
It’s not a copy, it’s a remake of Poseidon 1972.

Adam nailed Borgnines role
This is a very good movie. Well played out by all the actors!
Gr8 movie an homage to the earlier one. All great actors who made this into a believable with ❤. Thank u. 💕
Imagine if this had been made years ago ? With maybe Gene Hackman, Shelley Winters, Ernest Borgine etc.
I have a sneaky suspicion that it was! 🙂
Well I enjoyed this movie, very good actors, lots of action in order to survive. Well done.
Three hours of entertainment without adverts, thanks very much 🍿
Thank you for posting this wonderful movie
Great movie. I enjoy every part of it both 1 &2.
"HOLD ON!"
*immediately lets go*
Very good movie. Expecting more movies like this. Second part also released. Thanks.
So glad you found the second part and enjoyed them both, Joseph!
Alex Kingston, RIVER SONG FROM DOCTOR WHO HERSELF, is easily the best part of this movie. That and the music, especially when the ship sinks.
This was great, y'all!
If you pause at 43:06 you can see how badly the ballroom flood was green screened. The effects are still fine for a made for TV movie though.
I love disaster films, this is a good one 😛
Thankyou , totally enjoyed part 1 and 2
came here after p1 such a good movie,
Fantastic film, suspenseful and exciting, I loved it
I know it was in the script for folks to stay in the ball room but in real life I sure hope they wouldn't be stupid enough to really stay there.
I'd rather go down at least fighting to stay alive while helping other's to do the same.
I'm sure others would agree.
Same, although some of the people who stayed, were too badly injured to climb the tree. Also in the original (1972) movie, some people stayed in the ball room.
Plus many of those not injured were intimidated by the authority of the highest ranked surviving crew member - at least those who worked under his command were mostly compelled to stay in both films. Also, the non crew members felt his authority equaled safety and competence and in this version he was even threatening people who dared try to leave, employing scare tactics. If it wasn't for that jerk, some other folks could have been saved. I especially despised him since he at 8:56 was exposed to have stolen from the dispensary badly needed Percocet for severe pain from injuries (the doctor was trying to work with a broken arm for heavens' sake and needed it much more than the jerk did who even toward the end of part one was tossing one back as if it was a breath mint) - and when confronted with the theft sadistically tossed back the last remaining pill. This is a bit mean spirited but am glad he got what was coming to him.
Bravo!!!!!!!!!!?! I'm a writer! I love this movie
The film left the message to all of us to always stay brave enough to face the toughest of the situation.
The lessons are
*life is all about survival if we once born to this planet*
*destiny is twisted*
A very star studded cast.
I’ve seen every version of this movie. And this one stands up pretty good
I think it must have been a made for tv movie
I know about this one and the 1972 one, are there others?
@@zxyatiywariii8 there was also the one from 2006 I think?
It stared Kurt Russel and Richard Dreyfuss.
I don’t count the sequel in 1979
Yes, it was an NBC miniseries that aired in the fall of 2005.
Awesome movie! Takes me back on Lake Superior! It was a large ship back then 58 years ago!
This was an excellent movie. Well done all the way around.
Am happy that the bishop made it nice movie
I would not put this series as high as the original 1972 Movie and 2006 2nd remake. But it is still very great. It has an interesting take on the disaster that feels slightly more dramatic. Sure, the CGI isn't the greatest, but it's a TV miniseries. They didn't have the highest budget to produce it, but it still came out just fine.
Great movie. Not seen this before. Great cast too.
I love watching horror, drama, funny, good endings, movie
Thanks for the great movie.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Very good flick, better than the '72 version in my opinion
I like both
Simple amazing movie
wOw, this was so emotional for me
In troubles, pray first. To be awaken, to be guide by Holy Spirit, to be safe, to have wisdom, courage, most of it is Faith.
I loved it idk why many people hate this movie the only thing that's bad is the editing but overall this was a very awesome movie 7/10
wow what a nice movies. 🎉🎉🎉

What an amazing movieeeee I really enjoyed watching it 😍❤️
Yes, the first one was awesome, and the second one was pretty good. But I like how they modernized this third one with bombs and terrorists.
I just hope it doesn't give them any ideas!
Yeah, nice all those bombs and pretending everyone is bad except usa! Sickening
If I was 12 years old again when I saw the original, back in 72/73 this would probably be better.
I guess terrorist are more plausible then a rogue wave😅
@@edotis3389 Cool, you saw the original at a theater? I've only ever seen it on a TV screen, I bet it was amazing on a movie screen!

Wow...excellent movie!
Ok good reviews I'll watch
So, Rutger's priest survived where Gene Hackman's did not.
GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!
A beginning a middle and a twist!
Thank you.
1:03:01 how does that kid's camera still work? That killed the movie
