36:35 Peeta painted Rue during his evaluation as an act of defiance. To show the Gamemakers what they did. And to put a target on his back instead of Katniss. Katniss hung the dummy to try to anger more the Gamemakers and put the target on her back instead of his. They both got 12 out of 12. Haymitch was furious with them.

this is the only reason i wish they used actual teens for this, katniss and peeta both look wayyyy older than 16, especially if youve ever actually seen pictures of josh and jennifer at that age, they look so baby faced and i feel like it makes it so much more real to see someone who genuinely looks like a child going through this nightmare

Not only is it hard to get actors of that caliber that fit the roles at any age, but people under 18 have legal regulations for how many hours they can work. 10:18 actually no, he didn't slip on purpose. It's because, in the books, in the first Hunger Games at the end, Katniss and Peeta had to wait all night for Cato to die and during that time, Peeta was dying from blood loss after a dog mutt bit his already injured leg. Katniss used her last arrow to do a tourniquet on his leg. After the berry stunt, when the Capitol retrieved them, Peeta's heart stopped multiple times and in the end they had to amputate him to save him. So for the rest of the story, Peeta is supposed to have a prostetic leg. They removed this part from the movie but the reason he slips here is because he's not used to the prosthetic yet. And the reason they agree to get separated at the end in the arena is because Peeta is too slow with the prosthetic and the girls have to hurry to set the coil before the lighting strikes.
"Sap from sugar maple trees has the highest sugar percentage; other maples and different tree species only have about half as much sugar. Sycamore trees (Platanus occidentalis), birches (the genus Betula), and hickories (the genus Carya) can also be tapped for drinking water"
Peeta by this time has one leg. He lost his leg in the last game from the deep cut. That's why he fell on the ice and told Katniss to stop looking at him like he is wounded. He is disable. Katniss lost her hearing with the explosion in the first game but the capitol was able to fix it with really good hearing. She heard the force field before she saw it.U will change ur mind about Finnic as all reactors do....lol. He will become one of a group if not ur top favorite character.
"It's true his family doesn't need him. They will mourn him, as will a handful of friends. But they will get on. Even Haymitch, with the help of a lot of white liquor, will get on. I realize only one person will be damaged beyond repair if Peeta dies. Me. [...] So before he can talk, I stop his lips with a kiss. I feel that thing again. The thing I only felt once before. In the cave last year [...] The sensation inside me grows warmer and spreads out from my chest, down through my body, out along my arms and legs, to the tips of my being. Instead of satisfying me, the kisses have the opposite effect, of making my need greater. I thought I was something of an expert on hunger, but this is an entirely new kind."
"To punish Haymitch, who, of all the people in this rotting world, has turned Peeta and me into pieces in his Games. I trusted him. I put what was precious in Haymitch's hands. And he has betrayed me." Peeta is precious to Katniss and she feels betrayed by Haymitch. In the book she's so furious she actually attacks his eyes with her fingernails.
The reason the other victors are messing with her is because in the first book she’s embarrassed of intimacy with Peeta (like washing his clothes in the cave or kissing him), so the victors all mess with her, aka the sugar cube scene, the kiss from Chef and Johanna in the elevator. Also, the film tends to make the tributes from 1 and 2 more hostile in the training booth, but they are actually pretty sweet and help each other train (until the games begin lol)
30:28 just so you know, this kiss never happened in the book. They only had 2 in the second book, one where he kissed her and she was startled and another after he was almost whipped to death and she was really vulnerable because of her emotions. She regretted that kiss the morning after and hoped he wouldn’t remember. The movies made it seem like Katniss had romantic feelings towards Gale but truth is, in the books she never did. She was too scared to allow herself to feel romantically towards anyone. She only let herself truly feel something twice throughout the books, both were during kisses with Peeta where she described feeling a stirring in her chest and her wanting more. Of course by the epilogue she understood she really fell for Peeta, sometime around the middle of the second book.
if you think making past victors competing again is fucked up, for the first Quell, the districts had to hold elections to vote which tributes to send to the Games. For the second, they had to pay up twice the amount of tributes, and those were the Games Haymitch won. A friend of Katniss's mother went that year, too. My theory is the Quell idea they replaced with Katniss's is that the parents of the reaped tributes would fight in the Games.
@@JustAGuyReacts While the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes did show a young Snow, his rise to political power is still a yet-to-be told story. I highly doubt he was voted to be President, though. He's a snake, and shakes slither and bite.
Also there is a deleted scene where we see Plutarch replace the original quell with the new one so Snow can have Katniss back in the arena. And in that exact same scene we see around 60 boxes for quells. Considering there's a quell every 25 years, the Capitol and Snow were planning to continue the Hunger games for at least 1500 years.
Peeta had two kills in his first games, though one was a mercy kill and the other was accidental. He killed the girl with the campfire that Cato had initially attacked, and it was because of his mistake with the berries that Foxface died. (Alas, the spile would not work for you in a reality show. It works here because the Gamemakers hid the potable water in the trees, and the spile allowed her to access it. In reality, the spile would provide a slow drip of sap. Great if you're planning to make maple syrup, but not so much if you're thirsty!)
The thing you got to know going forward and maybe even from the beginning, Peeta #1 objective is to save Katniss! Where others like …. Gale is to fight back no matter what for the rebellion. Peeta has only ever wanted to protect her whether he’s with her or not it’s his only priority, to do what he can to protect/ save Katniss !
This is not because they're sending a pregnant woman to the hunger games. Any other pregnant woman, they wouldn't care at all. This is because it is Katniss, who is pregnant with Peeta's child. The Capitol people love their victors. And Peeta and Katniss are very fresh in their mind as they are last year's victors. Plus the all star-crossed lovers story. Sending them back to the arena means sending an entire family to die, a family that they came to love.
Great reaction! Not stupid to doubt Plutarch or Finnick. You're suppose to doubt them that's part of the tension of the book/movie. You picked up a lot of things most people miss. Really cool to see. Thanks!
Every district has a Victor Village. Houses that the winners move into. The three victors for 12 have a house. It's separated from the rest of the district areas. Petta is sad because he knows Katniss is not in love with him but he was being real with his feelings. Gale only let his real feelings for Katniss be know after he saw her and Peeta in the game. He sees that she can develop feelings deeper than friendship.
@@JustAGuyReactsI think she surprises herself half the time to be honest. 😂 She spends so much of her time trying to read others for threats and stay alive that she hardly knows how she feels about romance herself.
Yes to reviewing the books vs the movies. And no, in the books Gale in not her boyfriend in the first book. They are just friend and hunting partners. However it's not until later in the 2nd books thar Gale expresses feelings towards Katness.however she makes it clear she can't think about things like that at the moment. I hate the fact the movies turned thus into a love triangle when it wasn't that in the books. I will definitely be watching next week for the next book/movie in the series
@@JustAGuyReactsthe books give so much more information , they are truly so good, I read each in one day, I was so invested and I’m a slow reader. I am Starting a reread of them. 😅I want to watch you review the books. 😍
In the books, she did tell Haymitch about Snow's visit and he told her NOT to tell Peeta. She wanted to tell him. And yes, Peeta was definitely in love w her.
“I finally got something right on this channel” My guy, five minutes into watching the first movie you guessed that Katniss would become a symbol of a mockingjay to mock the Capitol just from the name of the bird in her pin. 😂 You guessing stuff right has not been a problem as far as I’ve seen. And yeah, Peeta’s family is alive when he’s saying he’d have nothing to care about if she died. Problem is they suck. :P His mom is physically and mentally abusive, his dad is more decent but still doesn’t exactly do anything to stop the abuse so sucks for that reason, and in the first book Katniss mentions that Peeta has at least one older brother still young enough that he could’ve volunteer in Peeta’s place but he didn’t, so he doesn’t seem to be on great terms with his brothers either.
No, his brother not volunteering doesn't mean anything. Katniss was the FIRST volunteer in 75 years. Does that mean that no siblings has ever loved each other in district 12 apart from Katniss and Prim ? This is ridiculous. His brother wouldn't have more chance than him to win. Peeta was 16, his brother was 17 or 18. They were both wrestlers and bakers. There's no difference. And Peeta also had another older brother that we don't know anything about apart that he was at least 19. And his father was described as being very nice. Yes he didn't stop the abuse, but maybe he was abused himself, we don't know. I agree that a parent should always try to protect the child, but it's not always that easy. The point is, Peeta loved his family. He doesn't say that he doesn't care about anyone else than Katniss in the book. This is not true to his character. Of course Peeta cares about other people, like his family, Haymitch, all his friends like Delly.
In the book, Peeta says "you're my whole world. I would never be happy again". This means that Katniss is the love of his life and he wouldn't be able to move on from her. That doesn't mean that he doesn't care about anyone else !!!
@@ptitepeluche05 Yeah, you’re right, I was too harsh, that’s so young to give up your life for anyone. I think it’s fairer to say that, fair or not, that sort of thing might build resentment between siblings. Peeta’s not exactly the bitter type, so maybe not, but either way I didn’t get the sense he was super close to his brothers either way, though I could be wrong. Can’t agree on the father though. I absolutely feel bad for people stuck in abusive situations, but my sympathy lessens a lot when they bring children into the situation and then fail to protect those children from it - unless there are mitigating circumstances that prevent them from doing so, like their abusive partner literally forcing them to have those children or having enough power to prevent them from protecting them. That doesn’t *seem* to be the case with Peeta’s family, it’s not like the baker’s wife is a Peacekeeper or anyone with any particular power in her district, but we also don’t know what divorce and custody looks like in the districts, so who knows?
1) I still believe you've seen these OR your girl already told you the story of the movies. haha 2) Each visitor has their own house. Peeta just spends a lot of time with Haymitch since they both live alone. Katniss has her mom & sister staying with her. 3) Reactors, for some reason, keep forgetting that Peeta can paint. HE obviously painted Rue on the ground to show his anger over the Quarter Quell games. Both Peeta and Katniss get high scores for heir behavior which makes more careers want to attack them instead of wanting to ally with them. Not sure why so many reactor think the game makers did it. Very odd. 4) ALL the animals/creatures that you see that aren't flying are mutts created and engineered by the game makers and they are made from parts of dead tributes. 5) The spinning of the island was stupid and made no sense when Plutarch said, "Let's see the try ti tell time now." You can't lose the 12 o'clock tree as it is so huge. Now, if they could've moved the SLICES of the arena...THAT would've made sense. 6) People are quick to hate on District 1, but it's important to remember that they are victims too. Each district is tortured a different way. In district 1 they are expected/required to live in opulence and excess or be punished for being unappreciative. They know that most other districts are starving, but they are made to/expected to eat to the point of making themselves sick and pretending they are happy about it instead of having the district share with the others. When they don't fall in line they get turned into the capital and made into AVOXes (people that are tortured and then have their tongues cut out and forced into servitude) or worse...mutts. Think of Effie, woman that draws the tributes' names at the reaping. Her and the TV host, Caesar Flickerman, ...they have a job to do and that is to make these grotesque moments FEEL/LOOK like "entertainment"... or else. EVERYONE is scared, even the Presidents' own family members. The games are NOT "entertainment" to anyone. The citizens of Panem are ALL terrified of their government because they know the grotesque and twisted things it does to people. They watch the games because they wanna see their people and try to support them if/when they can. Being a sponsor demands a lot of money so the sponsor gifts are rare, but people try. You have to watch the games to see what will be needed. In this book the people of District 1 were ALL angry that the Victors were being put into the games; they weren’t cheering happily like in the movie. 7) Haymitch was one of District 12's winners. He's an alcoholic because he was a winner when he was 16 and since then has been required to be the mentor of countless tributes only to see them ALL die for nearly 24 years. He’d won his Games by using the force field against the Capitol. Though it was a Capitol creation, Haymitch was able to use it to his advantage and win the Games with it. The Victors receive income from the Capitol for life, are given a special status in their districts and are allowed to live in the wealthiest part of their district called the Victors' Village with their families. Their District is given supplies of food and other things to survive, while the lone victor (except of The 74th Hunger Games since there is 2 victors) is bathed in riches. Most of them become very popular all throughout all of Panem. The Capital, however, can summon victors whenever they want and make demands on them. This is clarified later and in more detail later.
To be fair, they barely talk about Peeta's paintings in the movies. Actually, I don't think they mention it at all apart from his talent for camouflage in the first movie. So it's easy to see why practicly no one makes the connection.
@@ptitepeluche05 I think if they were proactively paying attention while watching the movie, especially since Peeta is so diminished in the movies, they should actually put 2 & 2 together rather easily. Why watch a movie to NOT process the story being told? I just find it amazing b/c I have noticed this with a ton of reactors as well as a few other similar circumstances. The reactors will be sitting there and ask, "Why'd they do that?!" when the movie had literally JUST made a character explain why such a thing would/could happen then 10mins later the characters do that very thing and the reactors are lost. lol I don't know if it's an undiagnosed Attention Deficit situation or what, but I'm seeing it more and more.
In the book she didn’t even know about Peeta painting Rue until after the evaluation. He literally only told her after she asked him which happened after the whole ordeal.
Honestly for most people who react to the series I would be giving a lot of details on the comparison between the movie and the book but since you're planning on reading the book I don't want to do that I'll just tell you the last book is called Mockingjay it was split into two movies so they didn't have to remove as much cuz it's a pretty dense story of the rebellion the the war is just that's what the final book is so the final two movies by the way those birds in the arena were not Mockingjay they were jabberjay jabberjay were genetic engineering from the capitol a little black bird in the Jay family that would fly around to the different districts and basically catch people red-handed talking s*** about the capital so they could hang them but people caught on to that and started sending false information instead of any sort of stuff that could get them in trouble so they finally gave up on trying to record the citizens with these birds but much like in Jurassic Park with creating only female dinosaurs so you know they couldn't breed oh sweet summer child nature found a way the jabberjay were all maleso they figured after the experiment was over and it was a bust they would then release them into the wild to die out but they started getting horny for the female mockingbirds and they hybridized with them creating a thing called Mockingjay which is a slap in the face to the Capitol they should not exist it's only because of the capitals hubris that they exist so that's why they decided to call her the Mockingjay and also the pin that's why the pin was so important it represents something that was created because the capital is full of people who are not as smart as they think they are and it's going to lead to their eventual yet inevitable downfall
Their's more information about most of the other tributes/victors that got cut including Thresh, your favorite male tribute from district 11 in the 74th hunger games in the books. Also, Finnick's thing about secrets and attitude makes more sense when you know his backstory. I don't want to spoil anything if you're going to read the books, but if they had kept a lot of the stuff in the movies from the books it probably would have been rated R.
Katniss and Peeta and TRIBUTES! A Tribune is: (1) a Roman official under the monarchy and the republic with the function of protecting the plebeian citizen from arbitrary action by the patrician magistrates (2) an unofficial defender of the rights of the individual.
Snow tells Katniss "Convince me" when they were talking about convincing the districts of Katniss and Peeta's love story. Snow watching as Katniss loses it when Peeta hits to force field, with his granddaughter saying in the background "Someday I want to love someone that much", is the moment Katniss inadvertently does convince Snow.
Fun fact, in the books, Gale isn't whipped for saving someone, he's whipped because he's caught carrying a dead turkey. Which still isn't a reason to be whipped, but I feel like they really took out a lot of Peeta being amazing and what made Gale not as amazing from the books, while trying to up Gale's look, to make Gale more likable for the love triangle to sell the movies better to non-book readers.
The water/sap from regular trees don't flow like that. These trees are made special for the Games and there is no other freshwater source. It won't even rain unless the Gamemakers make it so. So yeah, either you die by dehydration or somehow find out that you have to drink from the trees.

Funny you mention Crazy Rich Asians. The same producer did the Hunger Games and Crazy Rich Asians. I actually went to high school with her and she was extremely accomplished even then.
One thing you should know about Katniss and Peeta. They both have CPTSD (the "C" is for current, because their life threatening situations are ongoing)and nightmares. The only way they can sleep and feel safe or secure is to sleep together. Another thing is that Peeta truly looks out for her (sees some of her "blindspots" and prepares, and she kind of does the same). He also helps to keep her SANE.

It's definitely meant to be America after some great struggle and strife. And a great deal of this series is inspired by America's historical and current racial tension. District 11 which yes does have the highest percentage out of all the other districts for black citizens is in the South around Louisiana Alabama Florida Georgia. The district is responsible for harvesting things like grain and fruit and they also have the highest percentage of peacekeepers who also happened to be the most violent and aggressive out of all the other peacekeepers, which is rvsc a take on police brutality in the south of America once again both previously and currently. You are correct district 10 is Appalachia it is the poorest of the districts the same way but it is one of the poorest regions of the United States now with a great many ghost towns that died out after mining fell off or after industrial plants closed down leaving the people who lived in work their destitute. They absolutely capture these super great depressing area, and it's a further not to write a history that this rebellion stems from katniss's district the exact same way that was a center point during both the revolutionary and civil wars. It goes further the victors from district 6 who are addicted to morphling which is obviously just another word for morphine, that district is in the American Northern Midwest they are the district responsible for building and maintaining the transportation especially the trains and the vehicles the capital uses and the district is known for having a serious drug addiction epidemic, exactly like Detroit does AKA the motor City which is once again why that district is responsible for transportation. District 3 is the West Coast California where silicon valley is now and that district is responsible for most of the computer chip software hardware computers at the Capitol uses. Slightly less obvious is the capital itself it's actually located in the American southwest within the Rocky mountains mostly in around Utah. Is it specifically because it gives them a great defensive position being high up in the mountains like that but more importantly it's a reflection of Mormon culture that exists there now. There's already an issue with the Mormon Church in racism in general and places like salt lake City do you have a very high Caucasian population. additionally the way the capitol citizens behave in a way that is so alien to everybody else is a reflection of how a lot of citizens view Mormonism often some thinking of it as a cult or at least cult-like with a lot of religious propaganda. This is again reflected and how crazy they dress, obviously Mormons don't dress crazy as we know they usually wear khakis pillows and pastels, it's just the idea of dressing that strangely and seeming to be that out of touch with the rest of the country and the way it operates, once again is seemingly perfect Mormon families are living in their own little bubble of a world where they all live by the same rules and loved it and don't understand how the rest of the country is so Savage and depraved. It should be noted that is a reflection looking on Mormon stereotypes not necessarily how they actually are (got to be honest the undergarments sing and races coloring books are sus though, Google if your curious lol.) the racial symbolism goes further however at one point Effie says "Panem today Panem tomorrow Panem forever". This is a direct take on a quote from American history 8 quote once again taken from a historical point specifically involving systemic racism in our country. When the federal government gave the order for schools to desegregate and black and white students to attend the same schools a lot of southern states are about especially alabama. The governor of Alabama is so adamantly against desegregation he gave a rousing raise his speech that he wrapped up by saying "segregation today segregation tomorrow segregation forever". Yes there was weird backlash about you being black but it was not only racist but in massively stupid because she was always black in the book... Especially considering how much racist history and symbolism is a part of the series it was important that she and thresh were black in the book but for some reason a lot of people seem to forget that and lost their ever-loving minds. Add him and his PTSD isn't so much from him having to watch everyone else die in his games it's because of the fact that as the only Victor and district 12 for so long he had to be the mentor all of the tributes that came after him so he had to watch all of those children die knowing that the likelihood of being able to see them was virtually not exist. Although interestingly enough the poor districts did have a slight advantage in the book and never outside of it. Due to the fact that so many of the tributes from the outlying districts were poor and malnourished and he had a slight edge when they went into the games that they were able to function and think clearly after going without food for much longer than the tributes from districts 1 and 2 who have been fed healthy diets in order to train all of their lives. May have had higher muscle mass and be healthier from the get-go once the game started going they were the ones that were more likely to do something stupid for food or water and suffer the symptoms of dehydration and starvation much faster than kids from the outlying districts the same way that they tended to have more issues with things like exposure because they were used to living in nice homes. Last fun fact a large majority of the peacekeepers are actually former district citizens specifically from districts 1 , 2, & 4. Keep in mind those districts all had technically illegal trading academies which housed and trained hundreds of districts children to potentially when they going to be a tribute but you can only have two tributes a year which means you still have all of these other children who trained at these death academy, in order to guarantee wins they were only going to send in their oldest students and since you can only send in one male and one female and you have graduating classes of 200 more students that means you're putting out a whole lot more Killers than you would actually use in The hunger games every year so the most logical thing to do with all these tiny trained special ops teenagers was to have them go forward and become peacekeepers. one and two and four or five more loyal to the capital because of proximity and because often the jobs they did were not as physically taxing or dangerous as the industries in the other districts they had a lot more loyalty towards the capital they tended to think of themselves is better than the other districts and they often believe that the capital of thought they were better than the other districts which they did a little bit...not remotely equal, but better, meaning a lot of these kids who wanted to be tributes but didn't make the cut or loyal to the Capitol trained to kill and generally agitated at the other districts free not loving the capital the way they should have...

And the reason they agree to get separated at the end in the arena is because Peeta is too slow with the prosthetic and the girls have to hurry to set the coil before the lighting strikes.
i really wish theyd kept in the characters disabilities in the movies😭 it adds so much
"Sap from sugar maple trees has the highest sugar percentage; other maples and different tree species only have about half as much sugar. Sycamore trees (Platanus occidentalis), birches (the genus Betula), and hickories (the genus Carya) can also be tapped for drinking water"
It’s amazing what you can do with plants!!
Me.
[...]
So before he can talk, I stop his lips with a kiss.
I thought I was something of an expert on hunger, but this is an entirely new kind."
i love them so muchhhhh
This kiss 😍 >>>>>>>>
Girl literally felt desire but she couldn’t place it so she compared it to hunger❤❤❤
"To punish Haymitch, who, of all the people in this rotting world, has turned Peeta and me into pieces in his Games. I trusted him. I put what was precious in Haymitch's hands. And he has betrayed me."
Peeta is precious to Katniss and she feels betrayed by Haymitch. In the book she's so furious she actually attacks his eyes with her fingernails.
God she loves Peeta so much❤
The reason the other victors are messing with her is because in the first book she’s embarrassed of intimacy with Peeta (like washing his clothes in the cave or kissing him), so the victors all mess with her, aka the sugar cube scene, the kiss from Chef and Johanna in the elevator.
This man Snow is diabolical. I can't even imagine having to vote on who to send to their deaths. Hate that guy
Lol thank you for the info on the spile I would have been screwed on Naked and Afraid lol
Yesssss facts!!!
Can’t sent a pregnant woman to the hunger games but sending 12 year olds is just fine… too real
Their love triangle is SO complicated! Every time I think I know what Katniss is feeling she surprises me lol
@@JustAGuyReactsI think she surprises herself half the time to be honest. 😂 She spends so much of her time trying to read others for threats and stay alive that she hardly knows how she feels about romance herself.
Funny thing is she actually does end up falling for him, I’d say as early as the end of the second book, but then Snow went and ruined it🤦🏻♀️
Appalachian indeed! they filmed the opening scenes in my hometown
Damn true about it not being a love triangle in the book, she never had feelings for Gale! The movies made it seem like she did🤦🏻♀️
I love how you predict things right before they happen. You pay great attention to whats going on. Great review.
I feel like he’s seen these films before because he’s wayyy to close it.
I try! Lol my friends HATE watching movies with me because of it thought!
I get that ALOT haha I assure you I have not seen these movies nor read the books
Yes, would love book reviews for the series!!!
I'm halfway through the first book!
@@JustAGuyReactswow that’s incredible!!

@@JustAGuyReacts Yay!!!! Looking forward to your reaction 😁
10:02 "...caught up in the wheel of the propaganda machine..."
10:09 "...she's like the main spoke for that right now..."
Love that quick analogy
The Capital is not one of the 12 Districts. No one in the Capital is in the Hunger Games. They were not part of the rebellion against the Capital.
Oh, that'd be so great to hear your thoughts on books!
I'm so excited to see your reactions for the next two movies! This story hits so hard and I will never get over the way it all ties together
Hey, fellow ARMY! 💜
1) I still believe you've seen these OR your girl already told you the story of the movies. haha
2) Each visitor has their own house.
@@ThatBlackPiano what I really don't undersand is that most people seem to think it's an insult or something and it's done to hurt Katniss.
@@ptitepeluche05 Right!
Just finished watching your other Hunger Games reaction and saw this pop up, nice!
Yes please read the books.❤
Their's more information about most of the other tributes/victors that got cut including Thresh, your favorite male tribute from district 11 in the 74th hunger games in the books. Also, Finnick's thing about secrets and attitude makes more sense when you know his backstory. I don't want to spoil anything if you're going to read the books, but if they had kept a lot of the stuff in the movies from the books it probably would have been rated R.
The name of the next installment is Mockingjay Part 1.
Katniss and Peeta and TRIBUTES! A Tribune is: (1) a Roman official under the monarchy and the republic with the function of protecting the plebeian citizen from arbitrary action by the patrician magistrates (2) an unofficial defender of the rights of the individual.
lol idk why I kept saying Tribune I know what that is 😂 I know I sounded like a complete fool lol
Exactly!!
Another vote for a book review video! Would love it!
Would LOVE to see a book review video from you!! 🙌🏻
53:09 morphlings get good at hiding because of being addicted to "morphling" they need a safe place to trip so they camouflage. She did sacrifice herself because she knew things but also to put herself out of her misery due to being a drug addict

Funny you mention Crazy Rich Asians. The same producer did the Hunger Games and Crazy Rich Asians. I actually went to high school with her and she was extremely accomplished even then.
No way!? Crazy Rich Asians strangely is one of my favorite movies of all time I couldn’t even tell you why lol
I thought the C in CPTSD stood for complex
edit: yeah I just looked it up & it’s complex

Peeta's mother was abusive...
Really enjoying watching your reactions to the movies. And happy to hear you're reading the books. I bet your girlfriend is too! :) The Hunger Game movies are some of my favorite movies of all time. They did an amazing job converting the books into movies, but there's so much more detail and story in the books that just can't be fit into a 2-hour movie.
