God im addicted to this game man like yeah there's bugs but very minor lip sync is horrible but the dialogue and quests is old dragon age origins good im loving it

this game reminds me of technomancer, both of these games are really good in the fields they did well, but fall behind in other areas. if you love this genre, check out technomancer alongside greedfall. theyre similar and really fun imo
Heres a tip if your just starting a new game and want all the loot but you're eyeing a different talent thats not lockpicking. Your companion Kurt's armor has +1 to lockpicking. You can trade armor with him in the tutorial section of serene and open all of the locked chests, all without investing in lockpicking! Get your loot and enjoy the talent point in a different section (i went with carisma but i would suggest either science or intuition, you can find a set of clothing with +1 to craftsmanship later and the starting gear is good enough for the beginning sections of the game)
Somebody give Spiders a god damn budget. They really nailed the RPG systems here. Plenty of depth, plenty of choices, creative implementation. Its a little too janky to be popular, but all the parts of an RPG that are hard to get right, they got.
Here's a good tip: abuse the heck put of the tactical pause menu. Your character can be told to dodge or block during a pause before enemy attacks land and will automatically dodge in the correct direction to avoid the attack and block at the right time to deflect the blow.
1. Intuition is a worthwhile skill to take. 2. Build Hybrid characters / dont dedicate yourself to 1 path. 3. Build/upgrade items with skills on them (like +1 lockpicking, +1 science, etc). 4. Keep chest armors for disguises. 5. Skulls are bad. Avoid enemies with skulls. You can beat them though. So maybe don't avoid them. Also this game has stealth. 6. Gold is hard to get. - hunt wildlife and sell their junk - do contracts on mission boards -7. Skill alters exist. Find them. They good.
@@tederichsen9037 magic is definitely op. it's the lightning dash. When you unlock that and the "ranged melee" skill you can zip around smacking enemies like a super sayan. You can take on groups of skull enemies no problem just cuz you can zip around almost untouchable while you chip at their hp.
My biggest complaint so far is getting stuck in a small room due to companions won’t gtfo and npcs also trying to walk through. So far enjoying the game immensely.
Combine the skill-up and faction chest piece tips. For example, i wear a merchant chest mainly as i'm repping my main faction (trying to stay neutral) and it has Vigor. Then i've got lockpicking on Nauts...because they're basically sanctioned pirates. Then Bridge Alliance chest has Science...because of course it would. Then i storage the zealot and guard chests until i need them for a specific quest for espionage. Also to note, the hat you start with has +intuition. Keep that basically forever as it's hard to get that stat on gear. At least in the beginning. There's also gloves that offer +1 craftmanship. Keep them in your storage and take it out with the mats to make things. Spiders has a history of making gear give minor boosts to talents in their games. So, a general rule of thumb is to never go 100% into a talent in their games. Because you can always subsidize it with gear. The exception to this being Charisma/Intuition. Those are worth investing all the way since cutscenes and random encounters may deny you the opportunity to equip bonus gear. Same could be said to other stats that may offer options in conversations. But those are generally few and far between. Also, if you choose to go with magic, don't also do guns as part of your hybrid. Guns as a rule of thumb tend to do a lot of armor damage. Which is meaningless to your magic damage (though it does help your team, admittedly). But the main reason is because doing so allows you to sell all the ammo you pick up. Also, not investing into traps and such means you can sell them off. For a first-time playthough you should go with magic and a melee weapon. Magic is easy, affords you more money, and bypasses armor while giving you the best crowd control and dodge. Happy gaming!
Great tips man. I'm about 17 hours in and i've been mostly doing sidequests. You really want to do the character quests. Especially Vasco and Kurt imo because you get a bonus point towards a talent once they're friendly. Also. If you bought the explorer pack like I did in the beginning. You get +1 intuition and craftsmanship from the get go. Both of these things save you talent points
Regarding charisma options: when a conversation gives you a charisma or pay option, first choose leave so you can save your game. After that start the dialogue again and choose the charisma line. If it doesn't work, load your save and try again. Worked just fine in cases where chance of success was 25% or 50%. Saved me quite some money.
Just one correction to what you said. You said "If your mana runs out, you better hope to have power potions." Power potions increase the destabilizing effect of physical attacks. I think you meant to say magic potions, cause they are the ones that restore mana.
There are stealth skills in the game. Just sneak up from behind and a prompt comes up. Not sure if you need to have a specific weapon equipped, like a dagger/stiletto, in the secondary slot. It's not always an insta-kill, some tough monsters just take a lot of dmg instead.
Once you do companion AI will hold attacks against the Stasis target. Without it the AI somtimes locks onto that target, breaking the Stasis as fast as you can apply it.
You know what makes me smile? You pointed out a great thing about the combat in this game. It's tailored to hybrids. It's hilarious that Skillup didn't realize that and just complained the whole time lmao. Went full firearms and traps and didn't get why he wasn't having a good time
@@alessimc I'm mainly magic and heavy single handed weapons. Kudos to you for using full magic. I'm guessing you're using magic potions and science to keep your MP recovering? Or Vigor perhaps? I have Vigor myself to help restore HP and MP when not fighting.
WorldHunter I guess I shouldn’t say “full” magic - I left the magic build’s points into one handed heavy weapons, which I do use occasionally. I have put 0 points into it, however. I do use science for potions. There are so many ingredients everywhere (I wear an intuition hat) that it seems silly not to.
@@alessimc Right on! That's roughly what I'm using too. Though, I have to sneak in my science skill using armor lol. Currently have points in perception and Vigor, with armor augmenting my science. At the very very least, I have 1 level in most of the attributes. So I can use a "meh" rifle from the pre-order to help with stun. Some of these creatures resist my mace so a gun helps.
Quick note 1 point of intuition grants you 25% loot chance if you become friends with Captain Vasco he grants you a point while he’s in your party if you also pick up the Merchant Prince Hat it grants 25% loot chance so you could go to 75% chance at extra loot I’ve used the Merchant Prince Hat, the preorder bonus chest armor (adds 25% loot chance) and take Vasco with me on San Matheus and it’s a nice little farm I don’t have any points into intuition lol Xd
Just two days in playing Greedfall and loving it! Great tips in your video and I am still figuring things out too. Happy I paid full price and support this small developer, sure there is always room for improvement but this game is worth every penny, lots of fun and the big so called triple A's could learn a thing or two how to make a satisfying game that WORKS.
So just some added opinion after a couple weeks of play. Still like the game, enjoy the combat and the strong suit of the game is the story and dialogue. The biggest bother to me is the cookie cutter of the interiors and the shortage of unique faces. A bit reminiscient of the first witcher. It kills immersion to have unique architecture on the exterior and the same exact copy of the palace or house in every town. Then one should note the world is not open like Skyrim or Witcher 3, it's more akin to Tombraider or Dragonage in the map layout and travel between maps. Even so it's enjoyable and keeps you engaged.
I'll add my tip. If you're a caster, you can chain stasis entire groups of enemies. The more you try to freeze the shorter each one lasts but a fully upgraded stasis can control entire battles of half a dozen or more enemies, and interrupt the attacks and erode the armor of the strongest bosses. It was a skill I ignored early on but it's definitely worth using. Also... crafting materials don't seem to weigh anything. keep them with you.
Another tip is to craft cheap armour and place each skill into them. i.e Science, locking picking, crafting etc. I believe Kurt already has a chest piece with lock picking at the very start, so take that from him and put it on yourself to open those early level 1 chests in the first area.

My suggestion for getting rich kinda fast in greedfall: Max science and intuition, and then farm beasts. Most beasts drop beast essence and bite, which you can then use to craft greater balance potions at 13 gold a potion. Its really easy to get 50+ potions in a short time if you go into a big wilderness region and start slaughtering everything. I did this on complete accident and now have over 1500 gold. It's not game breaking but it is certainly a weight off of my shoulders.
I’m one point away from getting roll. I think Science is also super important. But the game seems to have ways around the use of bombs or potion crafting but it would still have been super helpful before you leave Old Serene. I agree with you on intuition. Super perk!
Coin arena fifth level third fight with big demon is your friend. You beat it you still get xp for defeating it over and over. 36 fights and I jumped from 8 to lvl 17.
I kinda disagree on the Hybrid builds. Certain hybrid builds will work but, at least on higher difficulties, you want the absolute best gear you can get at any given time and you won't get enough attribute points to max out more than 2 stats. By the end of the game you'll probably have around 11 to 13 points, at the very most. My first character for example, was supposed to be a battle mage. To make that work however, i would need mental power for rings, strength or agility for weapons, willpower for amulets and endurance for armor. On top of that, magic doesn't synergize with melee at all as magic damage doesn't destroy armor. I ended up fully commiting to magic, even dropping heavy armor to maximize damage output und mana regen. The rest of the play through went rather smoothly, playing on extreme. TLDR: Don't spread your points across more than 2 or 3 attributes and focus on you main offensive attribute.
Game needs a mini map badly makes no sense to have a compas in a zone/corridor type world. And the enemy auto locking is way to much the red guard with the 2h axe just glides 5 meters over the floor to atack you rofl and the big guy with the spear throws heat seeking missle at you.
Never got around to getting this but I learned it was part of PS Plus January offerings. Trying to get some tips before I start. It's very Witcher 3 with some Dragon Age (Inquisition is the only one I played) thrown in. Really looking forward to it.
GreedFall (very hard) and Metro Exodus (hardcore) are GOTY!! both well balanced on the higher settings.., just in GF, don't try to take on anyone at lv 1 (wait till atleast lv 2.., or stealth-kill as many as you can till lv 2 or 3.., afer that its very doable on very hard.. and Metro Exodus, recommend to stealth as much as possible...) GF on very hard is as easy if not easier than Technomancer on hard (sidenote, Technomancers action is better and really good imo, especially the "dual hand pole" or "daggers" + countering.. rest of GF is better..., well OST is equally good) EDIT: as for GF builds, love the "devine magic ring" & "lighting dash" skill trees a lot
@@andrewbowen2837 I liked Sekiro.. but both Metros and Greedfalls immersion, characters and diverse gamplay stole the show for me..., while both on higher settings have a DSouls-ish feeling (but with almost no frustration) and though Sekiros action is on a higher level than DSouls and BBorne.., still prefered those overall a tick more than Sekiro (atmosphere and diverse builds)

(mained daggers, ..but really loved the laser pole more when trying it out longer) GF has overall (way) better dialogues, characters and story ... snd is way bigger..., Technomancer still has enjoyable dialogues and story.. Technomancers atmosphere and action are its real strengths, which I really loved (played Technomancer on extreme, but after a "protect NPCs quest", I switched down to hard.., the NPCs just kept dying to fast on extreme.., on hard it remained fun) imo Technomancer got too low metacritics, cause its not a AAA polished game like DA3 or other big names... and cause many where still hyped / spoiled from TW3 (and from DS3 or Bborne)
So right about intuition --- unlike charisma there's no roll, if you have the right level of intuition it's no fail dialogue. However I disagree about Magic, just work your way to STORM ASAP --- storm is OP (even at hard or extreme difficulty). Just shadow burst a couple of times and then storm. There are more than enough potions for mana waiting to be picked up, but if you time your fury strikes properly you won't find yourself needing to use that many potions. Also I find the guns (love the multishot ones) better than the 1 handed weapons (IMO), especially in conjunction with lightning dash ---- ... magic, fury, gun shot gives you time to regenerate mana. Re: skills, I didn't put a point in craftsmanship or science --- never made a difference. You can craft a +1 science armor ... and in the game you'll easily find a +1 craftsmanship pair of gloves, +1 Charisma cape and a +1 Intuition hat.
I was originally gonna go with an alchemy two handed blade build, until I discovered the teleport. I decided to use the magic ring, and statics with phials and traps. Essentially telporting around freezing and throwing small aoe potions, with an upgraded axe to mix things up.
A note on the lip sync: is isn't horrible on PC. I can clearly see what words their mouth is forming and it fits with the voice overs. Granted, when they are talking, the animations flow into one another so it does some kind of odd but nothing near where it would bother me.

its the different torso armors, if they have a little shield(crest) in the bottom right its a disguise for that faction, there is like 5 or 6 different ones. try and keep one of each. :)
Ya I have 3 different ones not counting my own, they are at my house in a chest just in case I need them. Then swap them out for upgraded ones and also I keep one chest piece with locksmith and science on me in case I need that too
As someone who's made a sword, two-handed sword, and gun I'm having a lot more fun. Plus using a shotgun or pistol in the midgame gets much easier to play.
Tip1: There is an +1 Intuition Cap and Charisma Cape and Crafting glove. You can upgrade your armor to have +1 vigor, science, lockpick. You never have to max out any Talent up to 3 you only need 2 of each. Tip 3: You can recycle and have a at least 50% chance to get back the items you've used. If you're open to save scumming it's a sure way to get back your crafting staff.

No1 tip. Don't bother with lockpick skill. (just use the armor mod for lockpick +fury gen.) Theres nothing in the entire game that makes lockpick 2 or 3 worth it. (no decent gear) All good ones have keys you can easily find.

You can dismantle armor for material and get the pure iron and what not that way instead of finding it. I've gotten plenty by dismantling armor and havent found any in the world. Each armor piece offers different material and percentage chance of getting that material when you dismantle. Also I've crafted shoulder piece for armor and then decided i wanted a different shoulder piece. When I went back to previous one i made it had to be crafted again. So can you not make multiple and switch between?

Aye this a fantastic game, and yes i twigged on to build for skills, oh a side note i have found gloves with crafting and science which so valuable since you cannot put skill mods on them. As for class tech is my go to as i almost never run out of ammo. As for gold im never below 1000.
Melee + Gun build. 20 hours in on hardest difficulty. I am a bit OP. I hope there are some harder enemies to come. Otherwise leveling up makes no more sense.
Has anyone figured out how to get to the ruins through the old mines. I have four cogs but can't find a prompt to use them to fix the door mechanism to progress further in the mines. Btw, it's the old mines you find when going to the native merchants village. Thnx
I've seen and read tips that say both. I would say depending on your play style. Do you plan to talk more and want more dialog options? Then intuition. If you plan to find the biggest weapon and bash people then endurance. But I hear in the beginning you are pretty squishy so intuition might be better to start. The game lets you save anytime you want, thank god!, so save before choosing the stat play a bit and restore if you don't like it.
30 hours in and the purple armors i find at merchants are only fro Theleme, the Alliance or the Guard. Since i wanted to put Native armor on my first playthru and Naut armor on my second one, i'm a bit depressed lol
Tlot Pwist It has probably something to do with your relathions with said factions. I've noticed that I was getting more options after they've became less suspicious, if you know what I mean. Or it depends on how far you are in the story, I am not sure yet :)
Tlot Pwist did you help the native merchant in New Serene? To the point of fighting alongside his friend/brother? After that he has some stuff to offer.
@@LokiDarkGod i did, he mostly had awesome 2h weapons with permanent coating, then later on his stock didn't improved like others but got smaller, with crappy armors and even with a good relation
rather than intuition (not very valuable), i went for science, to craft my own ammo. the vendors will sell the materials to craft them. you can reset the vendors stock by sleeping. loot containers in town also reset if you let 11 days pass by sleeping. then i went accuracy and agility for guns and longswords. for the skills i went throw vial, anointed weapons, and longswords. i chose to use guns that used 5-6 ammo before reload. i crafted the gun to shred armor a bit. i crafted the longsword for pure damage. i applied poison to the longsword. the gun would generate fury. i could just use gun only, but to save ammo i use the sword when i have fury. i'd carry about 20 of each potion and grenade, and 300 ammo. before vial throw i had set trap. doing the arena in pub was impossible to do with just gun. traps/nades were vital.
there's none that gives you science. You will have to craft that yourself. crafting bonus gloves can drop from random bandit ambushes but farming for it is a waste of time.
you do there quests and you don't be an ass to there faction with 'em around. It's really that easy. Keep in mind you play a Diplomat and how the game ends depends mostly on how good a diplomat you are were and not on how much dps your char can bring to the end fight.
To be honest it only effects your starting skills. It's not that big of a deal. For me I started with the...can't remember the name but basically the rogue style starter. Then after a few levels I got stasis which is on the magic side. It really shouldn't be stressed about.
Right off the top I'm going to have to call you out on the intuition. It is by far not the most important skill to be putting points into. I'd say science or crafting or lock picking all take precedence over intuition. You can always soft reset during dialog for the right charisma check if youre worried about dialog. Be better.
I don't know what game you are playing but it's not greedfall. seriously a mono mage build is the strongest build you can have. Also I have so many rubies and obsidian just from killing beasts. Be better.
I disagree with the whole multi class tip. I beat the game, completely all the quests and etc. And I found specializing is the best way to go. I was a mage with an early light weapon. And by upgrading the weapons and armor you never really need to go for any other weapons or equipment with the exception of the Divine Rings. The right party is the only thing you really need to do to balance out the magic resistant creatures on the island. Magic seems pretty O.P. tbh. Also in my experience the only people I worried about with disguises were the Nauts. There are several missions where you have to sneak in their warehouses and while maybe if your hostile towards a faction it'll be more useful but if you do like the right thing in the game all of them are easily going to be friendly before even halfway through the game. Other then those bits you're totally on point.
I have lock picking level 1. I got an added armor piece that had the green up arrow next to lock picking, but even after I equipped the armor, it wouldn't let me pick level 2 locks. Not sure why, but it did not work.
I'll pull back my words, I don't like Bring magic into realism world they best on Fantasy world, because my Favorite Mages is from Classical Magic game like Warcraft. Still Prince Kael is my Favorite mages.

I love it too! I just wish we had rolls instead of the jump back.
This game may not be the best structured, but it has an incredible foundation that has the potential to birth a fantastic franchise.

Capes work the same as chest pieces and are far cheaper. I've been buying up faction capes and keeping them on me so I can use them for disguises

Great tips man. I'm about 17 hours in and i've been mostly doing sidequests. You really want to do the character quests. Especially Vasco and Kurt imo because you get a bonus point towards a talent once they're friendly. Also. If you bought the explorer pack like I did in the beginning. You get +1 intuition and craftsmanship from the get go. Both of these things save you talent points
Regarding charisma options: when a conversation gives you a charisma or pay option, first choose leave so you can save your game. After that start the dialogue again and choose the charisma line. If it doesn't work, load your save and try again. Worked just fine in cases where chance of success was 25% or 50%. Saved me quite some money.

Just one correction to what you said. You said "If your mana runs out, you better hope to have power potions." Power potions increase the destabilizing effect of physical attacks. I think you meant to say magic potions, cause they are the ones that restore mana.
There are stealth skills in the game. Just sneak up from behind and a prompt comes up. Not sure if you need to have a specific weapon equipped, like a dagger/stiletto, in the secondary slot. It's not always an insta-kill, some tough monsters just take a lot of dmg instead.
Here's a tip; Invest in your stasis until you get the unlock that takes away armour while enemies are frozen.

Once you do companion AI will hold attacks against the Stasis target. Without it the AI somtimes locks onto that target, breaking the Stasis as fast as you can apply it.
Wrong do the whole line 50% damage is good. Stasis is the best skill in the game.
I got stasis with the points instead of getting the ring.
You know what makes me smile? You pointed out a great thing about the combat in this game. It's tailored to hybrids. It's hilarious that Skillup didn't realize that and just complained the whole time lmao. Went full firearms and traps and didn't get why he wasn't having a good time

@@alessimc I'm mainly magic and heavy single handed weapons. Kudos to you for using full magic. I'm guessing you're using magic potions and science to keep your MP recovering? Or Vigor perhaps? I have Vigor myself to help restore HP and MP when not fighting.
WorldHunter I guess I shouldn’t say “full” magic - I left the magic build’s points into one handed heavy weapons, which I do use occasionally. I have put 0 points into it, however. I do use science for potions. There are so many ingredients everywhere (I wear an intuition hat) that it seems silly not to.
@@alessimc Right on! That's roughly what I'm using too. Though, I have to sneak in my science skill using armor lol. Currently have points in perception and Vigor, with armor augmenting my science. At the very very least, I have 1 level in most of the attributes. So I can use a "meh" rifle from the pre-order to help with stun. Some of these creatures resist my mace so a gun helps.

Quick note 1 point of intuition grants you 25% loot chance if you become friends with Captain Vasco he grants you a point while he’s in your party if you also pick up the Merchant Prince Hat it grants 25% loot chance so you could go to 75% chance at extra loot I’ve used the Merchant Prince Hat, the preorder bonus chest armor (adds 25% loot chance) and take Vasco with me on San Matheus and it’s a nice little farm I don’t have any points into intuition lol Xd
Just two days in playing Greedfall and loving it! Great tips in your video and I am still figuring things out too. Happy I paid full price and support this small developer, sure there is always room for improvement but this game is worth every penny, lots of fun and the big so called triple A's could learn a thing or two how to make a satisfying game that WORKS.
So just some added opinion after a couple weeks of play. Still like the game, enjoy the combat and the strong suit of the game is the story and dialogue.
The biggest bother to me is the cookie cutter of the interiors and the shortage of unique faces. A bit reminiscient of the first witcher.
It kills immersion to have unique architecture on the exterior and the same exact copy of the palace or house in every town.
Then one should note the world is not open like Skyrim or Witcher 3, it's more akin to Tombraider or Dragonage in the map layout and travel between maps.
Even so it's enjoyable and keeps you engaged.
There's just one thing you need to know max firearms and get a ton of ammo, bang bang you won.
I'll add my tip. If you're a caster, you can chain stasis entire groups of enemies. The more you try to freeze the shorter each one lasts but a fully upgraded stasis can control entire battles of half a dozen or more enemies, and interrupt the attacks and erode the armor of the strongest bosses. It was a skill I ignored early on but it's definitely worth using.
Also... crafting materials don't seem to weigh anything. keep them with you.
Another tip is to craft cheap armour and place each skill into them. i.e Science, locking picking, crafting etc. I believe Kurt already has a chest piece with lock picking at the very start, so take that from him and put it on yourself to open those early level 1 chests in the first area.
Sad this game got less then stellar reviews but I am gonna get it. Maybe wait for a sale.

@@DoomWalker42 I wouldnt take the bad press too serious. This one moron on xbox said it "lacked a story mode". Another went into great detail about how it wasnt futuristic graphics. Both on Xbox (Ima get it for ps4). The rough reviews seem to come from trolls or morons

My suggestion for getting rich kinda fast in greedfall: Max science and intuition, and then farm beasts. Most beasts drop beast essence and bite, which you can then use to craft greater balance potions at 13 gold a potion. Its really easy to get 50+ potions in a short time if you go into a big wilderness region and start slaughtering everything. I did this on complete accident and now have over 1500 gold. It's not game breaking but it is certainly a weight off of my shoulders.
I’m one point away from getting roll. I think Science is also super important. But the game seems to have ways around the use of bombs or potion crafting but it would still have been super helpful before you leave Old Serene. I agree with you on intuition. Super perk!
Coin arena fifth level third fight with big demon is your friend. You beat it you still get xp for defeating it over and over. 36 fights and I jumped from 8 to lvl 17.

I kinda disagree on the Hybrid builds. Certain hybrid builds will work but, at least on higher difficulties, you want the absolute best gear you can get at any given time and you won't get enough attribute points to max out more than 2 stats. By the end of the game you'll probably have around 11 to 13 points, at the very most.
My first character for example, was supposed to be a battle mage. To make that work however, i would need mental power for rings, strength or agility for weapons, willpower for amulets and endurance for armor. On top of that, magic doesn't synergize with melee at all as magic damage doesn't destroy armor.
I ended up fully commiting to magic, even dropping heavy armor to maximize damage output und mana regen. The rest of the play through went rather smoothly, playing on extreme.
TLDR: Don't spread your points across more than 2 or 3 attributes and focus on you main offensive attribute.

Game needs a mini map badly makes no sense to have a compas in a zone/corridor type world. And the enemy auto locking is way to much the red guard with the 2h axe just glides 5 meters over the floor to atack you rofl and the big guy with the spear throws heat seeking missle at you.
Use the arena to power level. Just shy of 10 hours in and i am lvl30
Never got around to getting this but I learned it was part of PS Plus January offerings. Trying to get some tips before I start. It's very Witcher 3 with some Dragon Age (Inquisition is the only one I played) thrown in. Really looking forward to it.
Don't forget to craft up your companions weapons and armor. It can make quite a difference.
GreedFall (very hard) and Metro Exodus (hardcore) are GOTY!!
both well balanced on the higher settings.., just in GF, don't try to take on anyone at lv 1 (wait till atleast lv 2.., or stealth-kill as many as you can till lv 2 or 3.., afer that its very doable on very hard.. and Metro Exodus, recommend to stealth as much as possible...)
GF on very hard is as easy if not easier than Technomancer on hard (sidenote, Technomancers action is better and really good imo, especially the "dual hand pole" or "daggers" + countering.. rest of GF is better..., well OST is equally good)
EDIT: as for GF builds, love the "devine magic ring" & "lighting dash" skill trees a lot

but both Metros and Greedfalls immersion, characters and diverse gamplay stole the show for me..., while both on higher settings have a DSouls-ish feeling (but with almost no frustration)
and though Sekiros action is on a higher level than DSouls and BBorne.., still prefered those overall a tick more than Sekiro (atmosphere and diverse builds)

loved Technomancers melee action.., more than GF's action.., love the laser pole, daggers and countering in Technomancers.. (mained daggers, ..but really loved the laser pole more when trying it out longer)
GF has overall (way) better dialogues, characters and story ... snd is way bigger..., Technomancer still has enjoyable dialogues and story..
Technomancers atmosphere and action are its real strengths, which I really loved (played Technomancer on extreme, but after a "protect NPCs quest", I switched down to hard.., the NPCs just kept dying to fast on extreme.., on hard it remained fun)
imo Technomancer got too low metacritics, cause its not a AAA polished game like DA3 or other big names... and cause many where still hyped / spoiled from TW3 (and from DS3 or Bborne)

So right about intuition --- unlike charisma there's no roll, if you have the right level of intuition it's no fail dialogue. However I disagree about Magic, just work your way to STORM ASAP --- storm is OP (even at hard or extreme difficulty). Just shadow burst a couple of times and then storm. There are more than enough potions for mana waiting to be picked up, but if you time your fury strikes properly you won't find yourself needing to use that many potions. Also I find the guns (love the multishot ones) better than the 1 handed weapons (IMO), especially in conjunction with lightning dash ---- ... magic, fury, gun shot gives you time to regenerate mana.
Re: skills, I didn't put a point in craftsmanship or science --- never made a difference. You can craft a +1 science armor ... and in the game you'll easily find a +1 craftsmanship pair of gloves, +1 Charisma cape and a +1 Intuition hat.
I was originally gonna go with an alchemy two handed blade build, until I discovered the teleport. I decided to use the magic ring, and statics with phials and traps. Essentially telporting around freezing and throwing small aoe potions, with an upgraded axe to mix things up.
I"m enjoying the game. I hope they bring out more content. It's a great game.
A note on the lip sync: is isn't horrible on PC. I can clearly see what words their mouth is forming and it fits with the voice overs. Granted, when they are talking, the animations flow into one another so it does some kind of odd but nothing near where it would bother me.
Will buy for 50% price. After few good patches, and with probably additional content.

Dysputant I’ve only had minor texture glitches on the PS4. It’s really smooth and great game.
didn't encounter anything that needed patching. No quest bugs, no crashes. Smoothest gameplay I had in years.
Coin arena pays mage class builds. 4-1 can three hit the 4 monsters and gives you great XP for grinding.
Kevin Bonin I killed that demon 5th tier boss at least 40 times so far. Jumped 10 levels and it’s still fun cranking out the achievements. Lol
Here is my tip for Mr. Matty, buy a cloak from the vendor. It gives some armor and 1 charisma.

its the different torso armors, if they have a little shield(crest) in the bottom right its a disguise for that faction, there is like 5 or 6 different ones. try and keep one of each. :)

Ya I have 3 different ones not counting my own, they are at my house in a chest just in case I need them. Then swap them out for upgraded ones and also I keep one chest piece with locksmith and science on me in case I need that too
As someone who's made a sword, two-handed sword, and gun I'm having a lot more fun. Plus using a shotgun or pistol in the midgame gets much easier to play.
Tip1: There is an +1 Intuition Cap and Charisma Cape and Crafting glove. You can upgrade your armor to have +1 vigor, science, lockpick. You never have to max out any Talent up to 3 you only need 2 of each.
Tip 3: You can recycle and have a at least 50% chance to get back the items you've used. If you're open to save scumming it's a sure way to get back your crafting staff.
Doesn't give back Ruby and obsidian. The other stuff there's so much of it that even 3 gold selling becomes worth more than more unused mats.
@@navystylz It does gives you back Ruby and Obsidian but only at a chance. All the materials required to craft the item can be returned if you're lucky.

No1 tip. Don't bother with lockpick skill. (just use the armor mod for lockpick +fury gen.) Theres nothing in the entire game that makes lockpick 2 or 3 worth it. (no decent gear) All good ones have keys you can easily find.
I agree about intuition. I put 1 point into it so far, and wish I had much earlier.
It also greatly increases loot. I can't go without lvl 2 intuition and vasco to buff it
@@Kevin-sy3jt I was considering grinding some levels out in the arena. Plus intuition helps you sneak into some areas through small crevices, it seems!
You can dismantle armor for material and get the pure iron and what not that way instead of finding it. I've gotten plenty by dismantling armor and havent found any in the world. Each armor piece offers different material and percentage chance of getting that material when you dismantle. Also I've crafted shoulder piece for armor and then decided i wanted a different shoulder piece. When I went back to previous one i made it had to be crafted again. So can you not make multiple and switch between?
Eh I went full charisma it has got me tons of information and I felt it fit my diplomatic approach alot more
Kind of a waste. I've been able to be mostly pure diplomat without if. Even playing chance with only 50% charisma. Which 1 or spent and 1 on cloak.
I am the God of time I always save before talking to person and if I do not reach my desired outcome I just save scum so long with wasted points suckers
You can buy rubies in the first Tir Fradee town. 80 gold I believe (they let you add vigor and such).
Aye this a fantastic game, and yes i twigged on to build for skills, oh a side note i have found gloves with crafting and science which so valuable since you cannot put skill mods on them. As for class tech is my go to as i almost never run out of ammo. As for gold im never below 1000.

Melee + Gun build. 20 hours in on hardest difficulty. I am a bit OP. I hope there are some harder enemies to come. Otherwise leveling up makes no more sense.

I would put this game in the same vein as Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon's Dogma, and Vampyr. If you liked any of those, chances are you'll like this.

Has anyone figured out how to get to the ruins through the old mines. I have four cogs but can't find a prompt to use them to fix the door mechanism to progress further in the mines. Btw, it's the old mines you find when going to the native merchants village. Thnx
Either A.) buy a brand new cog from the merch outside or B.) go to a workbench go to the last tab and select the new cog recipe
@@tl7492 you also need to have the quest to research the ruins. However you can always go to the other room and blow up the wall.
Greedfall has a borderline Assassins Creed Valhalla feel to it when it comes to skills and abilities and inventory.

What's better to start with intuition or endurance?
I've seen and read tips that say both. I would say depending on your play style. Do you plan to talk more and want more dialog options? Then intuition. If you plan to find the biggest weapon and bash people then endurance. But I hear in the beginning you are pretty squishy so intuition might be better to start. The game lets you save anytime you want, thank god!, so save before choosing the stat play a bit and restore if you don't like it.
30 hours in and the purple armors i find at merchants are only fro Theleme, the Alliance or the Guard.
Since i wanted to put Native armor on my first playthru and Naut armor on my second one, i'm a bit depressed lol
Tlot Pwist It has probably something to do with your relathions with said factions. I've noticed that I was getting more options after they've became less suspicious, if you know what I mean. Or it depends on how far you are in the story, I am not sure yet :)

@@LokiDarkGod i did, he mostly had awesome 2h weapons with permanent coating, then later on his stock didn't improved like others but got smaller, with crappy armors and even with a good relation
rather than intuition (not very valuable), i went for science, to craft my own ammo.
the vendors will sell the materials to craft them.
you can reset the vendors stock by sleeping.
loot containers in town also reset if you let 11 days pass by sleeping.
then i went accuracy and agility for guns and longswords.
for the skills i went throw vial, anointed weapons, and longswords.
i chose to use guns that used 5-6 ammo before reload.
i crafted the gun to shred armor a bit.
i crafted the longsword for pure damage.
i applied poison to the longsword.
the gun would generate fury. i could just use gun only, but to save ammo i use the sword when i have fury.
i'd carry about 20 of each potion and grenade, and 300 ammo.
before vial throw i had set trap. doing the arena in pub was impossible to do with just gun. traps/nades were vital.
Only about 1 hr in at the moment.. but liking what I see ...

there's none that gives you science. You will have to craft that yourself. crafting bonus gloves can drop from random bandit ambushes but farming for it is a waste of time.
I would suggest duping gems so you have the opportunity to craft as you want, plenty of yt videos about it now

It is. Between levels and skill altars you will find yourself overflowing past a single build.
kick and shoot is the best build and stack everything on charisma
so combine warriro and mage and you get a warriorspellcaster

Anyone know what to do to get closer to your companions how do you get them to like you how do you improve your relationship with them in the game
you do there quests and you don't be an ass to there faction with 'em around. It's really that easy. Keep in mind you play a Diplomat and how the game ends depends mostly on how good a diplomat you are were and not on how much dps your char can bring to the end fight.

To be honest it only effects your starting skills. It's not that big of a deal. For me I started with the...can't remember the name but basically the rogue style starter. Then after a few levels I got stasis which is on the magic side. It really shouldn't be stressed about.
Danny Foglesong each one of the classes, skills and attributes are all very viable. It really depends on how you want to play the most.
Right off the top I'm going to have to call you out on the intuition. It is by far not the most important skill to be putting points into. I'd say science or crafting or lock picking all take precedence over intuition. You can always soft reset during dialog for the right charisma check if youre worried about dialog. Be better.
I don't know what game you are playing but it's not greedfall. seriously a mono mage build is the strongest build you can have. Also I have so many rubies and obsidian just from killing beasts. Be better.

I disagree with the whole multi class tip. I beat the game, completely all the quests and etc. And I found specializing is the best way to go. I was a mage with an early light weapon. And by upgrading the weapons and armor you never really need to go for any other weapons or equipment with the exception of the Divine Rings. The right party is the only thing you really need to do to balance out the magic resistant creatures on the island. Magic seems pretty O.P. tbh. Also in my experience the only people I worried about with disguises were the Nauts. There are several missions where you have to sneak in their warehouses and while maybe if your hostile towards a faction it'll be more useful but if you do like the right thing in the game all of them are easily going to be friendly before even halfway through the game. Other then those bits you're totally on point.

I have lock picking level 1. I got an added armor piece that had the green up arrow next to lock picking, but even after I equipped the armor, it wouldn't let me pick level 2 locks. Not sure why, but it did not work.
Just want to ket people who play this on Xbox know that the arena exp farm works, but not the money, or dup glitch. Unless im just not doing it right.
just duplicate the horn of the forest king or any other high cost item. you get alot of money and in the end you dont even know where to use it all xD
