Just picked up a 2017 and I think my favorite thing about it is the very fact that it IS dated. I like analogue tachs. I like old school cable actuated throttles. I don't need or want modes, or traction control, or a TFT dash, or ABS for that matter. The 'tech' it does offer, in the form of the electronic steering damper and slipper clutch is very much appreciated. It's everything I want and nothing I don't. Plenty of power for my purposes with top tier cornering performance and feel.
Why does this video say that the 1000rrr have less torque than the 1000rr. ? I also doubt the horsepower power of the 1000rr. I have that bike and it’s different data everywhere you look
I've had 3 of these from brand new from 2012 and they are still the most fun I've had on a bike. Yeah could do with a bit more power but the reality is if you need more power in this bike your really pushing it on a track. There light there nimble they boogie pretty hard and sound pretty good, design hasn't changed much but if it works it works.
Just picked up My 2022 a few days ago. My last CBR was a 2008 600RR and I love how close this compares to the 08s ride. Not looking back. Love this bike. Great vid!
@@emreberktandogan2733 correct. You can manually adjust your shock set ups but, it is still the old school dash from 2008. Which I am ok with and prefer really. Personal taste.
I've had my 2007 Cbr600rr since 2015 and have not had a single regret.. have about 37k miles on it and it feels just like when i bought it with 15k on the ODO... great bike and highly recommended
It's weird that 2022 dash looks 95% the same as say a 2006. You'd think these bikes would have a digital screen by now but I guess to keep costs down and make an excellent engine and a great bike overall that's super reliable, you gotta save $ somewhere.
I like the old school touches on this and the Gixxer's. Electronics remove some of the fun of riding and people rely on them too much. TC and ABS are great don't get me wrong but some of the newer bikes are just too reliant on electronics and these analogue bikes like the CBR600 are WAY more reliable like you said and can take a beating.
I love my 2007 in white. I like the electronic upgrades and abs options of today, and I like the newer wheels than my older 3 spokes. I haven't done much to my bike other than a Yoshi RS5 and different windscreen. In fact, I'm going to go out for a ride today Sunday morning right now and enjoy it. I've been pondering a new bike and I'm leaning toward the XSR 900 soon. Its sad to see the 600 segment disappearing. I know there is some 650 CBR but I don't know much about it.
The 650 is good for R7/RS660 class and underlooked in that segment but isn't on par with the 600. XSR900 or MT09 horrible choice tbh but I think the R9 if they get it out will be a winner.

I will only ever own a Honda Motorcycle the engine on the bike i learned on when sold had 350,000 miles with just routine maintenance it needed a ring job bad towards the end, But that says allot about Honda's reliability. Riders appear to have caught on how much better the ergos of upright nakeds are for the way most of us ride...and nakeds can still tear up a racetrack. I have a hard time seeing supersports making a comeback.
It's funny how the tides have changed... Back in the 600 SS hayday, naked bikes were the red-headed step-child and didn't get any love due to lackluster sales in comparison. Now, it's the complete opposite and I believe it's because some are stepping up their naked bike's performance instead of just giving them crap horsepower numbers and crap suspension like they used to and when it comes to styling, they just look better nowadays. I used to hate the way 99% of naked sportbikes looked but now, I like 99% of them lol! As much as I hate to say it, I think you're right on having a hard time seeing supersport 600 bikes make a comeback. Heck, if they keep going to the moon with 1000 SS bike prices - I wonder how much longer they'll be around. I remember when $20k seemed like an outrageous number and we're close to seeing that as the starting point for most. It's interesting to see just how the markets change over time and I'm super curious what the next few years holds for these bikes...
I’ve had liter bikes, 600’s and nakeds. I’ve found the nakeds too heavy. Same with the liter bikes. The CBR is super light and so easy to throw around. I’ll stick with the 600 for riding twisties.

i dont see 600cc super sports sticking around much longer with euro emissions getting more strict. ive been looking to find a clean gsxr750 to convert to a track only bike but i wouldnt snub my nose at a 3rd gen cbr600rr.
Hi, I'm looking at a 2005 or 2006... How much different is does 2007 and 2008 have... Would this be the Best two Years ... Any Tips.... I have a Beautiful 1999 VFR800FI INTERCEPTOR.... Would be nice to have Other Great Bike...
I was looking into the cbr 600rr but my brother has a the 1000rr and the headlights and tachometer look wayyyy better than the 600… not really sure anymore if I’m getting the 600
The 650 is better for the street..its plenty fast and much much more comfortable...94hp and it could hit 140mph..what more can u ask for?? My bike makes 125 hp to the wheels,I'm mostly going under 60 mph 95% of the time..trust me get the 650, your body will thank u...
I have a 600RR I use for the street. I don't have any issues with it, and that's coming from someone you can also finding cruising around on a fully dressed HD bagger. To each his or her own. I got a heck of a deal on a used 11 RR, put some tires and love into her, and she's been a jewel so far.
That's a difficult one... We should have gotten it back in 2020 or at least 2021 as sometimes we're a year behind but heck, here it is 2022 and still nothing. With the way sales have been going, I don't think it's a big priority on American Honda's list but those lackluster 600 sales could possibly be improved with the Japan spec bike. Offering a decade old bike like they are currently isn't exactly going to make people want to go out and buy a new CBR600RR... Like I said towards the end, I'd love to talk with the people making these decisions to see exactly what their thought process is behind it all.
The Japanese version would be the only version I would actually spend money on if only it had a fuel gauge ! The North American version simply does not have any of the good updates that they added to the Japanese model. Honda has become very lazy and are definitely not showing North America any love with their motorcycles. Maybe 2023 will change all of that and I can finally buy one of these.
@@iamtheiceman - I doubt you would. In Australia the older version before the latest release was 15k. Now the newer version is only available and at a price of 30K.
New to buying a brand new motorcycle so forgive me. When do the 2022 CBR600s come out? Are they not out yet? I have emailed about 6 dealerships about pre ordering one with ABS paying cash and can not get a single reply. Anyone tell me what's going on?
I found a 2022 600rr about a month ago. The dealer said it did not ship yet. I put 500 on it to hold and then it arrived on 3-24, I then secured financing and it is being delivered on tues 3-29.
I was enjoying the video, but the hugely over saturated filter when showing the actual bikes and their parts was a huge turn off and I bailed before the 5 minute mark.
The thing is with the honda cbr 600rr it just looks dated the tachometer is dated the rear body work and seat looks like a bike from the early 2000s the headlights are ugly even the 2007-2008 model still looks better then any of the newer ones I wish they would re shape this bike and make it look sharper and abit more aggressive looking, don't get me wrong i haven't ridden one but I want to because I think it could be fun and easier to ride compared to the other Japanese bikes but it's the looks that put me off getting one
That's funny I like the look of the newer over the older 2007 model years, but I do dislike the gauge cluster, a digital one would be sweet. Have you seen the brand new cbr600rr in Japan right now? I'm not sure I like the wings but I like the led and much more aggressive front end
My sister was rear-ended by this bike last week killing the rider. He hit her doing 180 MPH! Totalled her car as well! Be careful riders. The guy was on route 55 heading north in NJ weaving in and out of cars and riding irresponsibly. The victim's name was Anthony Giordano
Sucks the accident happened. For the rider losing their life and for your sister’s totaled car. This bike can’t go anywhere near 180 mph. Maybe 160. Maybe.
I just looked up your Honda dealer, they selling a 2019 cb1000r for 14,500 msrp is only 13k what a rip off theh also have a cb500 for 8,500 that’s 650 prices Jesus Christ these are used too not new ppl are price gouging hard now days we need to make that illegal
Just for clarification, it's not "my" Honda dealer ;) Prices are definitely fluctuating across the board from powersports to auto and everything else thanks to this rona mess. I'm ready for some sort of normalcy again, that's for sure!
I had been shopping for a while for a used bike in general. The private market is the way to go, dealers have little inventory and are trying to get top top top dollar for every piece of merchandise they have, I wonder if parts are next. I had one dealer try to sell me a 2020 GSX-r 600 with 1200 miles for 12900, but I had to finance according to him. Get this, the "financing" was going to be like $250 a month for 72 months....lol....Do the math...That's $18000 and I was going to put down $4000. So they wanted to charge $22K for a used bike. The reason was "oh it's your credit". So 12900+ttl+f=14000-4000=10000 financed somehow goes to 22? Some of these dealerships amount to state sponsored criminal enterprises.
i like the honda man, almost bought one......5 HP here or there who cares, am sure there are tunes, parts for days on these bikes......reliable, looks badass, and can outride 99.9% of its owners......yeah you can max it out so wtf do you care another brand makes a few more ponies......drag pulls on freeways isnt riding, its called drag racing.....these arent meant for that.....carve canyons and bike will always start up......did i mention how bad ass it looks
The Honda CBR 600 RR is a "Race Replica". Race bikes do not have any storage because it is a race bike. You are buying a Race Replica of Honda's CBR 600RR race bike. Typically a race bike does not have things it does not need. They do not have storage, fuel gauges, cruise control; the CBR 600RR will never have these things because it is a "Race Replica". If you need or want those features Honda has the CBR 650R; for the street. Both the CBR 650R and the CBR 600RR are great bikes, it just that one is a Race Replica and one is not.
I dont care all those positive things you mentioned, those who buy this isnt that smart. Options for abs? What the hell!! It should be standard! Honda seems to be taking advantage of it's followers.
drop the price to 10,999... they will outsell all others combined.... they dont realize that most junkies are gonna buy the least expensive two wheels they can get.(new bike pricing) (honda number one used bike sold),,,,.. hence Suzuki still lives,,,,, and Kawasaki sells the 636 for 10,999 and its a better track bike out of the box... if Honda matches that price,, the name will sell itself...

i dont see 600cc super sports sticking around much longer with euro emissions getting more strict. ive been looking to find a clean gsxr750 to convert to a track only bike but i wouldnt snub my nose at a 3rd gen cbr600rr.
Hi, I'm looking at a 2005 or 2006... How much different is does 2007 and 2008 have... Would this be the Best two Years ... Any Tips.... I have a Beautiful 1999 VFR800FI INTERCEPTOR.... Would be nice to have Other Great Bike...
07/08 best years, lightest and most powerful of all models. 30k miles on my 07 in 2 yrs, never skipped a beat.
the injectors work just like a brz
I was looking into the cbr 600rr but my brother has a the 1000rr and the headlights and tachometer look wayyyy better than the 600… not really sure anymore if I’m getting the 600
Ninja zx6r n aprilia rs660..everything else is pretty much outdated with 2008 tech n design..
The seat is hard as rock.
great bike
What do you think of this vs the 650 for riding around on the street? I don’t want to get a 650 and within few months regret it
The 650 is better for the street..its plenty fast and much much more comfortable...94hp and it could hit 140mph..what more can u ask for?? My bike makes 125 hp to the wheels,I'm mostly going under 60 mph 95% of the time..trust me get the 650, your body will thank u...
I have a 600RR I use for the street. I don't have any issues with it, and that's coming from someone you can also finding cruising around on a fully dressed HD bagger. To each his or her own. I got a heck of a deal on a used 11 RR, put some tires and love into her, and she's been a jewel so far.
@@scottdavis1212 baggers are fun.im looking forward to trying to different bikes.ive only ridden supersports..I'm missing out..
Do you think we will ever receive the latest CBR600RR from Japan?
I just started looking at the 2022's; what happened to the redesign with the digital dash etc?
That’s exclusively for Japan.
Beautiful bike!!!
I want one.
New to buying a brand new motorcycle so forgive me. When do the 2022 CBR600s come out? Are they not out yet? I have emailed about 6 dealerships about pre ordering one with ABS paying cash and can not get a single reply. Anyone tell me what's going on?
dealers do not make enough money on cash sales.....they want you to finance.
I found a 2022 600rr about a month ago. The dealer said it did not ship yet. I put 500 on it to hold and then it arrived on 3-24, I then secured financing and it is being delivered on tues 3-29.
So I need to make a down payment, tell them i am financing then just pay it off the first month.
I found my 2022 600rr at Martin moto in Boyertown Pa.
@@howcanitnotbe9270 You get ABS or non ABS? Congrats.
I must have it
My sister was rear-ended by this bike last week killing the rider.
Maybe 160. Maybe.
The best version is the 1998 F3 CBR 600
I just looked up your Honda dealer, they selling a 2019 cb1000r for 14,500 msrp is only 13k what a rip off theh also have a cb500 for 8,500 that’s 650 prices Jesus Christ these are used too not new ppl are price gouging hard now days we need to make that illegal
Just for clarification, it's not "my" Honda dealer ;)
Prices are definitely fluctuating across the board from powersports to auto and everything else thanks to this rona mess.
That’s what I’m saying…it’s Nuts!
i like the honda man, almost bought one......5 HP here or there who cares, am sure there are tunes, parts for days on these bikes......reliable, looks badass, and can outride 99.9% of its owners......yeah you can max it out so wtf do you care another brand makes a few more ponies......drag pulls on freeways isnt riding, its called drag racing.....these arent meant for that.....carve canyons and bike will always start up......did i mention how bad ass it looks
Why touch perfection
That's not the 2022 model...
And not even the 2021 since it was updated last year in most parts of the world.
It is the 2022 model... the 2022 USA spec model ;)
I have PC37 (2003 CBR 600RR) and it looks WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than this one.
More color options needed. ABS should be standard.
Like em blackout
Can't believe it's cable throttle
I know right, you literally can't get better than that
How are you liking your 2022 grom? 😎
The zx6r has electronics, for the same price point roughly. I can't see buying this bike at all
Wait a minute…. This guy sounds like “engineering explained” are they the same person?
The Honda CBR 600 RR is a "Race Replica". Race bikes do not have any storage because it is a race bike. You are buying a Race Replica of Honda's CBR 600RR race bike. Typically a race bike does not have things it does not need. They do not have storage, fuel gauges, cruise control; the CBR 600RR will never have these things because it is a "Race Replica". If you need or want those features Honda has the CBR 650R; for the street. Both the CBR 650R and the CBR 600RR are great bikes, it just that one is a Race Replica and one is not.
Add a turbo!
I dont care all those positive things you mentioned, those who buy this isnt that smart. Options for abs? What the hell!! It should be standard! Honda seems to be taking advantage of it's followers.
Many track riders would
opt for the non-abs option.
What is it with other bikers that are afraid to rev it to redline. I do it all the time to mine. Granny revs make you look like a douche.
I don't like under tail exhausts anymore... too much weight
dont waste your time guys, 13 minutes and not even a walk around or a test ride review.
Don’t like the red/white blue paint
drop the price to 10,999... they will outsell all others combined.... they dont realize that most junkies are gonna buy the least expensive two wheels they can get.(new bike pricing) (honda number one used bike sold),,,,.. hence Suzuki still lives,,,,, and Kawasaki sells the 636 for 10,999 and its a better track bike out of the box... if Honda matches that price,, the name will sell itself...
I cringe when I hear anyone say "orientated" instead of "oriented." Sorry - I am no perfectionist, but that one bugs me for some reason. Cool video. Still anxiously awaiting the new (and hopefully improved) Pioneer next month!
Lol you got me there bud! I noticed that one when editing but I'm losing my voice so I thought I'd let it slide, nobody will notice... and one of the first comments is on that lol! Appreciate you watching and keeping me on my toes ;)
Yeaaaah buddy, same here! Can't wait until we can go over it all next month and I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on them for a deep dive too.
I cringe when people feel compelled to correct stranger's grammar on the internet.
Just buy a clean 2002...3k$
Technically, they didn't make a 2002 CBR600RR but I get what you're saying ;)
@@HondaProKevin true but still..lol cbr f4i
Typical Honda motors. They run so smoothly caddy's are getting jealous
It's the same engine as the second generation (2007-2012) . So plenty of years of proven use and aftermarket 🤫🤫🤫🤫
same engine from 2007 to now actually it just hasnt changed cosmetically since 2013
This is kinda meh for a 600 sportsbike compared to other bikes in its class.
Arrrrrrrr ☠
lol right!
Great bike
