Even though there is no screen to clean, there is a good amount of oil that will come out when you remove the bolt so it's definitely still a maintenance task to empty that oil.

When I pulled the side drain plug out, oil went spewing everywhere... Would it be better to pull the bottom plug out, first?
Me too. I'll know for next time but it certainly came out with a little pressure

Where did you even get a physical manual? They gave me some QR code for a digital one when I purchased the 24 500'.
He went online with his QR code like you have and printed it. You can tell it's not the original owner's manual.
