Hey man. Great video. Helped me along well on my fe501s ‘21. Question. I’m getting a code 9 (manifold) something check engine light. I plugged in the emulator for the vapor recovery system, but my kit didn’t come with anything for the o2 sensor harness. Any help would be appreciated.
So the emulator sends a constant signal. If RPM does change (idle or warming up your bike for more than 2 or 3 minutes) it sees a constant signal and will trip that code. It’s completely normal with the piggyback units. I wouldn’t worry about it But you can hit up the company you bought it from to be 100% sure

None at all. If you have a piggyback tuner like a Power Comander you need a dongle to send it a false reading. If you go with a full ECU like I did, it no longer reads off the 02 so might as well delete it Have fun
Nope, no issues at all Try this - prime the pump 2 times, then give it 2 quick turns of the throttle. Pull the cold start knob and it should fire instantly every time

if you pauze the video at exactly 7:22 you see two holes with threads, isn't suppose to be a bold in there as wel?
I don’t believe so
Stock kickstand bolt works fine just toss the bushing .
On 24s yes, previous gen’s needs the shorter bolt
Please show us how you installed the get ecu please
Taco Moto has a fantastic video on it that’s way more in depth than i would be able to show
Did the Get ECU from tocomoto come with the updated map swith that let's you control all the other features?
no, just the standard 2 position map switch. The new fancy one isn't out yet and will be an add on from what I understand

I did not get much more power but my bike stopped stalling regularly. It was a huge difference on idle and lugging the bike down without stalling.
@@chazman4461 did that include ecu or just taking smog stuff off?
It needs a ECU Or a power commander

Ya, it went right in
The older ones required a spacer to be added on the rear mount for clearance but all the newer ones have it included
Any instruction on head pipe removal? I'd like to also remove that canister, I didnt see it in the manual? Have a page # Thanks!
Super basic. 2 springs on the front of the head pipe and the the engine mount on the right side of the bike. Just wiggle it loose from there

Do you have a piggyback on your stock ECU or a standalone replacement?
@EverySingleSunday thanks for the quick response. I got the piggy back version of the desmog kit and I have a JD jetting tuner.

Have you removed the internal flap on the airbox, that really helps the 500 breath

Do you have the pull that 02 kit off to run the GET ECU? Or can you leave it on?
You can leave it on
But with the GET it doesn’t read the 02 anymore so it’s just extra weight and stuff that can be broken off

It runs better. Yes it makes more power but it has all around better feel and doesn’t flame out (die when it shouldn’t)
Great vid! Is it even worth it to change from the stock crankcase breather hose? Seems unnecessary.
There’s a chance of engine oil getting back into the intake track with the stock one.
