This is a great upgrade. Those foam ones from the factory don't last, especially the one up front. I also like the rear bushing that has a smaller "home" for the nub on the tank. I bet that really takes the play out of the chassis.
Looking forward to hearing back from you on what you think Garrett and I really liked the way it made the saw feel firm, but yet no hand vibs like the older 0 models
Fucking beautiful bud. I was wondering when you’d make this. The stock suspension gets loose in no time. A great American, making great American products. Thank you. God bless.
Hey Gordy, a Cool trick I learned that works really well on rubber like that , from rebuilding my car and truck wiring harness where it plugs into all your sensor's,you have that weather pack seal, use silicone spray, slides together really Nice.....k
Just to let anyone know with a 362c, the 661 suspension kit will work the same. I bought 2 of these kits, 1 for my 661c and the other for my 362c. Had 2 successful installs. 362c is easier where you don’t have to remove the screw on the dog to access the screw for the spring underneath. The screw is already exposed and is the same screw that holds the stock chain catch under the clutch cover.
Great video Gordy. I was wondering if you or someone could do a comparison cutting with a stock 661 to the one with the kit to highlight how the saw has become stiffer.
I started screaming internally when I saw you had to take the handle off to put the kit in. I was in hell this last weekend putting my wrap handles on my 044 and 661 due to the 661 being so dang tough to get the bottom part off.
This will be a great addition to the saws I plan on buying a holzfforma 661 which is a copy of the real 661 see how it performs but I was wondering do you guys plan on making anything for different saw brands besides husqvarna and stihl maybe some stuff for poulan or jonserd?
Well for starters uhh I plan on restoring saws and axes and I'm wondering what could be built for poulans and some echos so either aluminum covers or muffler accessories and then what ever you can do in the axe department I also plan on ordering a few things so for the 500i
@joshschrader730 I meant 660 and I also said for the other saws* and I also said in the other comment I restore saws* which I had a 661 that got lost in the woods for a few years or so and I got this for it
You guys are out of stock on the 500i suspension kit. Would this work on the 500i? I have a job coming up and would love to have the new suspension before that job.
hell of a good idea.. the sponge bushing.. what a joke... do ya make a poly bushing for the 362? we have tons of em at work that are super sloppy even with a 20inch bar
You made that look easy! What do you think about the 661 in comparison to the 500i? Which do you think can take the most work and abuse from extended periods of use?
They are both great. They’re kind of totally different in my mind Garrett our tester has ran both mini times till death and the 661 holds up to a lot and one thing that always happens to his from running long bars I think is the case always cracks on the passenger side on top of the oil tank and starts leaking bar oil but other than that, there’s nothing that really gives up
Gordy - These Instructional Videos you do are Excellent!!
Glad you like them!
Super handy video. Made installing my 661 suspension kit very easy. Thanks for doing these kind of videos.
Gordy has worked on a saw or two in his day. Smooth.

Thanks for the great video Gordy.
the 661 that you ported for my Gordy is still my favorite saw to date, its a absolute monster. will be getting a few of these mount kits for sure.
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.

You bet!
👍
Dish soap works real good for getting new rubber gaskets in also
Yes that would work good thank you I forgot about that 👍
@@westcoastsaw1368 I learned it in major appliance repair class for replacing the gasket for the pump in a dishwasher way back over 30 years ago lol 😂
Great video Gordy. I was wondering if you or someone could do a comparison cutting with a stock 661 to the one with the kit to highlight how the saw has become stiffer.
Might not be able to capture that on a video but you can feel it
I started screaming internally when I saw you had to take the handle off to put the kit in.

Got to get me some 🤙
🤘🤘🤘
Will that polyurethane bushing also work on the 500i & 462? I bought your felling suspension kit for both but don't have that type of bushing.🤔
Make a video for the 462.
That drum looks really rusty. Did the saw sit brand new on concrete? That seems to do it on most bare metal parts pretty quickly, saws or not.
👊
Very nice. Do you have these for the 461?
We don’t they are a solid mount from the factory
hey gordy... can we get one of them awesome clutch covers for the old 044/440/046/460 saws...
They are available on our website👍

We are always working on new things what are you looking for specifically?
Well for starters uhh I plan on restoring saws and axes and I'm wondering what could be built for poulans and some echos so either aluminum covers or muffler accessories and then what ever you can do in the axe department I also plan on ordering a few things so for the 500i
Holzforma doesn't make a 661, they make a 660 which is already a solid suspension, don't need this for that saw
@joshschrader730 I meant 660 and I also said for the other saws* and I also said in the other comment I restore saws* which I had a 661 that got lost in the woods for a few years or so and I got this for it
What premix oil are you running? Is that Dominator there?
Need to order that kit for my 661......k

We have 500 suspension kits in stock 👍

The 661 kit does work the the 362
Can you do a video on how to put one on a 462
We have one for the 500 it is basically the same minus the spring
Okay thanks
And have you guys thought about coming out with a stack for the 462 as well?
You made that look easy!
