    This was the easiest video to follow. Got it all replaced in the time it took to play the video and pause in between steps. Super easy. Thanks!

    Nice work Scheib! We just got a 500i in our local stihl dealer. 1st one since they came out! Your next business will be Scheib's Custom Chainsaw Repair Shop.

    Okay now I pay too much attention to firewood lol. Never knew you could change suspension on a saw for a smoother ride lol. Good work.

    I just got done with a class at a career center for small engine repair. Always like watching stuff like this. Got another class coming up next month and I'll be tearing down a riding mower engine and rebuilding that. Good video as always Scheib

    Nice how to video Scheib. I would have never thought about changing the suspension on a saw. Take care buddy.

    This is the best video I have seen you post. Good watch. Would like to see you learn how to use wire rope chokers w/snatch block for your woodstering, me being in oregon its a west coast thing, I have seen Back 40 firewood use wire, a little bit, it will open a whole new world to you. Nuts 319 plays the wire rope game . Anyway thanks for the vid.

    Cool video. I just picked up an older stihl 046 this week so I may do this if I find it vibrates my hands too much. West coast saws has some quality parts. Thanks!!

    Looks to me like the Gen Z engineers at Stihl designed her with the Lumbersexual in mind.
    A softer, more subtle Cadillac ride for those with more of a limp-wristed cutting style.😬
    A chainsaw isn’t intended to be an accessory to the modern male wardrobe...
    It’s a Tool, not a Toy!
    Now she should be able to work like a truck with overload springs!💪🏼
    Nice tutorial brother.😎
    Bless’ns on ya, Tedd

    What was wrong with the original ones??

    • @OutsidewithScheib
      @OutsidewithScheib  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      One of the complaints about the 500i is its soft (weak) Suspension. figured i would see the difference and if it is beneficial in anyway.

    • @6900pilot
      @6900pilot ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Outside with Scheib I haven't noticed it too much in my own one , I guess you will feel more vibrations now though?

    • @OutsidewithScheib
      @OutsidewithScheib  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@6900pilot I have run it since definitely stiffer but as far as vibrations I don’t feel any more vibrations then I did before.

    • @6900pilot
      @6900pilot ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Outside with Scheib that's great dude. Happy days!.

    • @em4703
      @em4703 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@6900pilot The sloppiness is only from 25-28" bars and up. With shorter bars its fine stock. Run a 36" on yours and you'll understand where the issue comes from. The vibration in the handles will be stronger with this stiffening upgrade, so goodbye running it without gloves.

  • @ChrisLascari
    @ChrisLascari ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you notice a big difference with this upgrade?

  • @EcSsAwS
    @EcSsAwS ปีที่แล้ว +1

    See this is something you shouldn’t have to do. Especially on a 1400$
    I’m sorry but stihl products suck. Just saying a husky 372 can easily support a 36” bar with ZERO antivibe modifications

    • @OutsidewithScheib
      @OutsidewithScheib  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry you feel that way

    • @ChrisLascari
      @ChrisLascari ปีที่แล้ว

      The $ goes before the number. Do they not teach that in school anymore?

    • @em4703
      @em4703 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A husky 372 isn't as low vibration and smooth as this is stock. Pluses and minuses, as with everything. The upgrade with the 661 front spring and glueing some 1/10th inch rubber rings over the existing bushings costs you under 10 bucks and you can do it in like 10 minutes if you really wanna run 28+" bars. For people that run 20-25", the stock setup is great.
