It's the german language, Till's voice and his ability to transfer his emotions to the listener.

@@CavHDeu that one too. I think that for the ballads Mutter and Ohne Dich get all the love and then Klavier, Seemann, Roter Sand, Diamond etc get really overlooked.
I would love to hear a newer version of the song. Till's voice has changed a lot since then and has improved significantly after taking singing lessons.❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
It would be interesting - though I feel that this is like a naive painting, it works because of it's imperfections. Perhaps now a piano or fully acoustic version would be more sophisticated, it is a very 'Piaf' kind of song...

yes in reality it is an old old concert it was some time after their debut when it started to be known. I really advise you to make videos on their 2022 tour, their music is always beautiful with lyrics that make sense but the means put in place are just incredible really it's one of the most beautiful concert to do with effects Fantastic pyrotechnics and amazing lights!

There is an amazing cover of this with the only singer in this world ever allowed to cover Till: Nina Hagen (the godmother of punk), she can do anything with her voice and uses it perfectly (as a female she took Tills highs low and Tills lows high) and naturally she has a very similar pronunciation - after all they have a very similar background. (The cover is done with apocalyptica)

romantic? äääähhhhm..... I don't think so. The song cannot be interpreted clearly (as always with Rammstein), but there is no romance in it. It is more likely to describe a sex worker. Standing at the lantern is a German paraphrase for this type of lady (Google created the bad English)
