In this video we inoculate straw with Nameeko and Oyster mushroom spawn. Mushroom Jordan explains the various steps in the process involved. Do it Yourself at home!
Right on,I'm trying to get good enough to grow them. I have a greenhouse I'm breaking in right now. Once I get it dialed in I'm going to give Pan Cyan a try
Very good your videos and their explanations, I am trying to work with shitake and shimeji mushrooms, could you indicate a good substrate for pasteurization using lime and what are the proportions! I thank you !!
Your thinking of psychedelic mushrooms ,he said Nameeko and Oyster mushroom spawn...Those are edible mushrooms you buy at the store. To make LSD you have to be an organic chemist and own a laboratory and have access to ergotamine tartrate and that is very hard to get your hands on
Just saw an even easier method, at least for oysters. Throw spent oysters in a blender with molasses and water then distribute into your growing medium in a cardboard box. You can then water the box and all. I'm gonna try this method on my humanure compost bin.
Haven't tried it yet. Been changing up my diet to incorporate lots of edible wild greens. My food budget has been slashed by 50-67%, getting lots more exercise as I forage on foot and saving money, of course.
interesting..I want to know more about this method. But tell me.. you touched first the contaminated straw than touched to "panned" one and at the end you went back with your hands into the new straw you were just about to pasteurize. didn't you just contaminate everything or isn't it that sensitive?
So I can just add a slurry of oyster mushrooms to a soaked straw bale? I thought I had to use (buy) grain spawn first...? Thanks for this video and for keeping things simple.
I have heard they require more fresh air then cubes.I can pasteurize manure and casing, that no problem.I just didn't want to try to grow them in a stuffy plastic tote container like I do with cubes. I figure they will get better FAE in a greenhouse ,
Psilocybong420 hey I know this is an old Post srry, but where can one acquire a cube spore print....without going through the mail. I'm just not wanting to order the kit in the mail at the same address as where I'd be doing my project.
these videos are good but needs follow up and description/report of results, but still good video for lazy researchers like me who prefer this t u pe of media for resources!!!!
you dont really need anything. i mean nature has beeen working for a wgile and since paul stamets has videos endorsing it dont you think tthats worth a second look/
sterilization is not shown, the way to cook the straw too, the begining of the growing, whitch is the most important step, is forgoten...The importance of volatile inhibitors that emerge early in the process is not mentioned. Carelessly, the substrate begins to rot and gives no fungus!
Cold pasteurization is a misnomer. Pasteurization requires HEAT up to a target temp to kill bacteria. All he is doing soaking the straw to saturate it with moisture.
i did like the video....and the camera lady did a great job too!!!!!!☝😊

I would love to have seen more of this. Please update us. Sooo facinating!!!
THIS GUY KNOWS HIS SHIT - NOTHING ELSE - BUT HE KNOWS SHIT!
Wow what Brad Garrett the star of til death does in his spare time.
Nice, Ive been colonizing ganoderma spawn on bamboo, so far so good.
thanks for posting
great video!!!

1too3fore please tell us what results are, some of us are a little tight at the moment, thanks mate!!!!

remo conan x
did not* work well for me

I like that Guy
Right on,I wish I was that good...One day lol
time to grow some cubes
for sure, I've had them a few times. Cyans are even stronger
Can you elaborate more on the detox ?
are some forest mushrooms like chicken mushroom able to be cultivated, that would be tasty as a semi vegitarian!!!!
Cold pasteurisation? Contradictio in terminis.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat thanks learned a lot
I thought you were completely new but if you've grown cubes you should be alright. But yea, they're a bit more challenging than cubes.
I have heard they require more fresh air then cubes.I can pasteurize manure and casing, that no problem.I just didn't want to try to grow them in a stuffy plastic tote container like I do with cubes.

No where the hell did you get that idea from?
All that time spent, and all i saw was someone watering straws.!!!
Way to tech.........!!!!
Next video please.
If you find a good tek, follow it to the tee and you should be fine.
i assume he is doing a fermentation.
Why is there Human composting?
why no second video! let down
Tell camera lady to stop talking. Your doing great job know your own.
you could in your oven!
Wouldn't this make LSD?
No??
dude - watering straw, etc. is not pasteurizing in any way/shape/form. just saying...
Yup, requires HEAT.
unless ur very good at growing ur mushrooms ;)
these videos are good but needs follow up and description/report of results, but still good video for lazy researchers like me who prefer this t u pe of media for resources!!!!
Matrices not matrix-is. Facepalm
Cold and Pasteurization don't belong in the same sentence
Well I would agree in strict terms there is chemical pasteurization techniques
you don't need burlap; not much nutrition and they don't care what direction they grow on.
you dont really need anything. i mean nature has beeen working for a wgile and since paul stamets has videos endorsing it dont you think tthats worth a second look/
Jade Fox oysters will grow on socks.
not very instructive or informative
sterilization is not shown, the way to cook the straw too, the begining of the growing, whitch is the most important step, is forgoten...The importance of volatile inhibitors that emerge early in the process is not mentioned. Carelessly, the substrate begins to rot and gives no fungus!
still doesn't mean that it will have no yield. nature doesn't sterilize the mushrooms substrates so why he?
His method is COLD pasteurization, no sterilization needed.
Cold pasteurization is a misnomer. Pasteurization requires HEAT up to a target temp to kill bacteria. All he is doing soaking the straw to saturate it with moisture.
big words for a lot of nothing
This video needs structure and editing
Gross I won't eat mushrooms
Did not like this video. All the talking by the camera lady and the panning back and forth and the blurriness. Just was a bad video.
