Do you happen to be in the architecture industry? Going through your videos you use a lot of the correct terminology regarding buildings, especially when you mention parapets and dowels as modeling material Also amazing build!

@@yogurtcat.9607 it means "object source lighting". It's when you paint the scene to exaggerate or mimic the effect of a light glow (even if there is no LED in the diorama).
OSL came out great. When doing OSL, especially with an airbrush, and wanting to keep the base paint job, try acrylic inks. They give you the glow color while remaining translucent.
I like how "carefully drilled a hole for the wires" was done by "holding a rotary tool in one hand while the base jumps around madly on the workbench". Now I can say that every hole I drill with my rotary tool was also done "carefully". :-)
Only Boylei could show off that amount of skill by holding just the rotary tool and let it do all the work. 😜 He should have included a "do NOT try this at home" warning so that other craftsmen don't embarass themselves by their lack of precision.
I think it's a good fit. Don't get me wrong I love Mario's voice but I don't think I can hear that high-pitched Mario voice for a full movie. During cut scenes it's fine though

Nerd outrage culture has created a world where our cinema is controlled by pandering studios feeding us endless superhero and pop culture vomit. I played Mario on my 64 when I was like 8 and I’m an adult now who has a life outside my nostalgia.
I've always thought that it takes far more skill to realistically show destruction - be it a building or a vehicle - than it does to model the same subject intact. That idea would go double for actually showing the destruction in-progress. All I can say is not only did you build this diorama with great skill, you made it look easy to do! As for you voicing the character of Mario, why not? What's Mario supposed to sound like, anyway . . . ? (That said, if you aren't tapped for the movie studio's model building department, THAT would be the REAL waste of your talents . . . .)

As an aside, I'm almost 63, and I've been model building for more than half a century. I was lucky enough to belong to the Gateway Chapter of the IPMS in the mid-1970's through the late 1980's, and to have been a member at the same time as the famous Bob Letterman and Lewis Pruneau. (I even once met François Verlinden, who was visiting our local hobby shop when I was lucky enough to have been there; though sadly I never got the chance to meet Shep Paine.) I'm glad that younger modelers like yourself, Knarb Makes, and others are doing your part to keep the hobby alive and relevant into the 21st Century.
I've seen alot of these diorama/model type of videos and they're all amazing, but this one is just SOO NICE to look at... its beautiful and your fire effect is absolutely stunning ❤💯

This is insane how good this looks! Just a couple of long LEDs, some cotton, and some paint, and magical fire! Oh, and also good bit of creativity, ingenuity, and skill... ;)
I know you only do physical creations in the end, but you have 3D graphics skills as well. How’re you not employed by a Movie studio or Sign Graphics studio is beyond me. I’d hire you in a heartbeat.
