In reality, Jimmy was the monster all along. The hand at the door was trying to close the door, and the creature at the bottom of the pool was holding it's breath, waiting for Jimmy to leave.
When I was a kid I never wanted to swim near those underwater vents at the swimming pool because I always imagined something like this was going to reach out and grab me if I did. Amazing work on this!
This is how I feel everytime I swim in the sea or deep Swimming pool with my Familiy. I just can't stop imagine things that lurks deep in the water and ready to devour you

I´m very impressed by the artwork and handcraft you show. Awesome skills. But also I´m very impressed by the video-cut and the musical selection. Everything is so atmospheric - it is close to magic.
I'm pretty sure those monsters are scared of Jimmy. Jimmy got into the pool and one monster is quietly leaving and doesn't want to slam the door, and the other is trying to squish down into the bottom and pretend he's not there. Jimmy is the real villain here.

I once was in a building with an abandoned pool and this diorama captures the feeling. That one had a tropical mural on the wall and vines growing through the sky light which made it extra creepy.

Are You Afraid of the Dark: “Tale of the Dead Man’s Float”! Remember that one? Kids find a secret swimming pool behind lockers at school, but something lurks in the water...
I remember going to a private pool at night with my cousins, with blueish and green lights but still kinda dim, the water was reflecting on the walls and the pool was really deep too. It felt so creepy that I actually had a fear of pools for a few years. I don't feel that much scared anymore but I'm still having a hard time going in the water
The monster looked like a roller coaster when it first came out of the 3D Printer due to the scaffolding. Honestly, I'm also really amazed on how you got the monster out of the scaffolding. It seems really difficult.
The supports decrease in diameter at the point of contact. It's easy to snap off, and the prints are generally sturdier than the supports. They do leave little circular dips, though.
@@fionabrennan9148 Some vids I've seen use hot water to soften/bend the scaffolding off without damaging the model. You're meant to removing the scaffolding prior to the heat curing. But it can be done safely after the curing too as seen in this vid.
My anxiety would like to thank you for finally giving it something to imagine to scare me out of the deep end of any pool I go into. It hasn't been able to do that since I was 7 and learned that sharks couldn't survive in a chlorine pool. Jokes aside, this is AMAZING and I love the extra detail of the kid in the pool. Wonderful job, minibricks!
My thought was: Maybe the monster in the pool is just trying to look out for Jimmy so he doesn't drown and the moster at the door was just closing it because Jimmy forgot and now the warm air in the pool area is escaping.
Hee! I love the "Jimmy is the monster" posts. My idea is a little different: Jimmy is just a normal kid, and the underwater creature is his pet, T'iobaa, aka "Toby". The monster at the door wants to eat little Jimmy. But he's about to find out you don't mess with Toby's friend... /I changed Jimmy's pet monster's name; sorry if that confuses anyone.
I was really impressed by the diorama itself = the attention to details, the way it's painted, all the work..., but I think I was even more impressed by the video in general. The way it was filmed and edited made it feel so artistic to me, and it kept me interested all the way through.
This is amazing, what really did it for me was the music. It gave me the feeling of finding an abandoned swimming pool and getting in all while there may be a hungry aquatic monster lurking.
@@Ionlyeatchipzeveryday Jimmy threw up the last amount of lingering 'candy' in his mouth as he remembered, That wasn't his piece of 'candy'. (Hell sorry if I made it "too dramatic")
I'm choosing to believe that Jimmy's a lonely kid who doesn't have any friends. Except for two nice monsters that he took the time to understand. He discovered Wavy, the underwater monster, in a puddle some day and hid him at the local swimming-pool. A bit later he met Sleep-Slap, a monster that was hiding in his room closet. Every week Jimmy and Sleep-Slap escape at night and go visit Wavy. Sleep-Slap's very shy, that's why he's hiding behind the door. Eventually they swim and have tons of fun. Fun fact but Wavy feeds on anything green (why do we always assume that monsters eat people?), that's why Jimmy's parents always wonder what happened to their veggies, houseplants, or even that big pile of leaves that was in the garden.
The imagery in this! Fear of drowning..a very valid fear to have. As a child, the games my siblings and I would play, would be to tuck your legs up into the tube, but only if there was something or someone swimming beneath you. When an adult would yell for us to come in, of course we would see them as monsters. This is so awesome! Well done! 👏 😎
I read the hand as coming from the locker room implying some kind of (sexual?) trauma at the hands of an adult? Your interpretation is much more pleasant.
that was literally one of my biggest fears when i was kid (even tho you can see the ground of a swimming pool) now that i grew up, i'm scared of such things in the ocean lmao

The monster looked like a roller coaster when it first came out of the 3D Printer due to the scaffolding. Honestly, I'm also really amazed on how you got the monster out of the scaffolding. It seems really difficult.
Yeah I’m a complete stranger to 3D printing, so when they started just breaking the excess scaffolding off I was so worried the monster would snap lol
Lol I thought it looked l ok e a roller coaster too
The supports decrease in diameter at the point of contact.

My thought was: Maybe the monster in the pool is just trying to look out for Jimmy so he doesn't drown and the moster at the door was just closing it because Jimmy forgot and now the warm air in the pool area is escaping.

You should write
That's sounds wholesome, no sarcasm.

Well done! 👏 😎
This could also represent thalassophobia, the fear of deep water and the things that could be in it.
