- This classic Java Dry Rub for Barbeque is a Pit Master favorite, and a "secret rub" for many. It tastes real good on Pork, Beef, and Chicken, and best of all, it's real quick and easy to make.

Just tried this recipe and it's delicious! Thanks
When you buy a bottle to mix protein powder in sometimes they have a little ball inside that's like a whisk. I put that in my mason jar that I have my homemade rubs in to keep the stuff from becoming clumped together.
Appreciate you!
I made this. Fokes the best steak l ever had. Hands down 😋
I would have never thought of putting coffee in a dry rub. Something I will definately try. Thanks bbq pit boys!
dshedder1 11yrs later how do you like it? First time ever hearing or seeing about coffee being used as an ingredient, looking forward in trying this very soon!
defenitely trying this!
thanks for the recipe
Yup. Put your shoes on
I can hear a cold in your voice. I make a bbq sauce with coffee in it that is yummy on chicken. Take good care of that cold now ! Keep safe and warm ! All the best from the prairies !
I knew about the coffee mixture for many years but that dosent mean you guys did not have a great dry rub recipe. Thanks for posting "your biggest fan Bobby K "
Oh man, 2 of my biggest passions... the "Q" and the "brew". Thanx BBQ pit boys! You've done it again. 5*****
Same here!
looks great i just add some dark roast instant cofee grounds to my homemade rub
I've been doing Sweet and Savory style rubs like this for a long time, and I've noticed that some people find the coffee overpowering, but you can always sub in used coffee grounds if the fresh stuff is too strong.
hey bbq pit boys that smells guuud! what's going to be a good meat to put this rub on- pork? ribs?
so what can you use this on?
For a lighter rub good for like sea food.
Take some green or white tea leaves, no bags.
Some sort of mint leaves, a little Salt, sugar and some citrus fruit zest. Grind it up. I use pistol and mortar.
BBQWeb My only complaint with your videos is that I gain weight just watching them.
They all look great and you make it look so easy, then when we follow you - it is that easy.
The trick is Low and Slow!!! MMM - MMM
WOW, I was expecting to see Yall use instant coffee. Not that I ever drink instant coffee, but I wasn’t expecting fresh ground Coffee Beans. Do Yall have a favorite coffee you prefer.
Maxwell house
2 tbs pepper
2 tbs coriander
1 tbs cardamom
1/2 tbs cinnamon
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup salt
1/8 cup paprika
1 tbs mustard seeds
1 tbs ground chile powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp marjaram
A great rub with mustard seed if you cant find some of these spices at a chain grocery store you can always substitute with something of your own liking
Thanks for the recipe... I'll definately try it.
This man has a truck commercial voice
some people eat coffee straight out of the can
does the ground coffee is hard to eat
chemical reaction between the meat and the coffee transforms the powder. incredibly easy to eat. incredibly good. science of it is what makes it.
@@chuckvedrene703 THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION
Is that regular or decaf blend ??? LOL
dude. first steak I ever made and it killed $100 Ruth Christ. With a spice infused butter log and an old vine Lodi Zin. literally floated out of my chair and finished it on the ceiling.
i used this rub and it dont taste like anything its very bland i must have did something wrong i used the measurements of the website
I think any rub recipe is a adjustable to your taste! 👍
spice infused butter log on top for the win my man!
will you please follow me around and narrate my life
I started with store-bought rubs (saw a nationally-placed BBQ team say they use store-bought, because there are plenty of good ones ... just watch the salt in some), and one of the best ones that I found was very black compared to the others (mostly red.) So, I checked the ingredients; first one was coffee. Now I use it in my own rubs.
A lot of this rub is pretty standard for paprika-based rubs with much of the paprika replaced with coffee. You can change the % of each to preference.
Aint it kinda crunchy? LOL
anything that is slow roasted..
true but hes using a voice changer
I suppose that's good for breakfast meat.
