  • This BBQ Coffee Rub Recipe is perfect for steaks. This Rub not only gives your steak great flavor, but a nice crust as well. If you have never used a Coffee Rub on steaks it is worth a try.
    Coffee Rub Ingredients:
    * 2 Tbsp. Chile Powder (any kind)
    * 1/4 Cup Finely Ground Espresso Coffee
    * 2 Tbsp Ground Paprika
    * 1 Tbsp Ground Mustard
    * 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt
    * 1Tbsp Black Pepper
    * 1 Tbsp Corriander
    * 1 Tbsp Oregano
    * 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
    * 2 Tbsp Onion Powder

    Great rub recipe Lyle. I like that it doesn't have any sugar so it will work great on any high temp beef cook like a good sear. Can add a little brown sugar for the low and slow cook too. Thanks.

      I add about 1/4 cup brown sugar to this recipe when I put it on roasts

    I'm not a fan of coffee so it would be interesting to taste a coffee rub. I'd probably have to learn to work one of those grinders in the store

      This really doesnt taste like coffee at all. The coffee gives it an earthy flavor

    Sounds good. I take it for homemade coffee rubs you just grind the coffee from beans, its not like instant or anything like that?

      I did grind my own beans, but some coffee that is bought in stores is ground enough especially espresso
