    Very poor from DJI.
    Why on earth would anyone want something that overheats or even runs hot which will degrade components over a period of time.
    For that amount of money it should work perfectly straight out the box.

    OK, now you need to separate the two modules and just use the camera part.
    Now see how you get on....

    • @Ozpeter
      @Ozpeter 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When I set mine to 4K120 with the front screen not mounted, I got a warning in the settings page saying that it would only record for 4 minutes in that mode, or at 100fps. This is kind of laws of physics stuff - if you have a tiny camera with little means to dissipate the heat generated by such a setting, you will inevitably only be able to record short clips. All action cameras have the same issue. But bear in mind that if you are slowing that down by a factor of 4, then that's 12 minutes of slowmo to watch. Yawn....

    • @ricardourroz9322
      @ricardourroz9322 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ozpeter 100% agreed with you. Most people read 4k 120 and want to shoot eeeeeverything on that frame rate and it becomes over used and booooring. A couple of seconds of well though slow mo is amazing, but that much it`s absurd. Agreed

    Recording a static subject takes less processing,therefore less heat

    • @shred3005
      @shred3005 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the other hand static position reduces airflow around the camera. Further more it’s very different whether you are walking, running or riding. And what options you have turned on and what your asking the camera to record. I agree with what you say, but there are many variables.

    4K120 only meant to be use up to 5 minutes at a time. No one uses 4K120 for 30 minutes. I can see 4K30 being use use in a longer time. This over heating is an issue but don’t let that stop you.

    Right, so its actually a lot worse than the Hero 10. I love how Gopro took an axe to the chest because the Hero 10 could "only" record 4k120 for 15 minutes, but now its ok that the OA2 overheats in less time because, well, I don't need unlimited 4k120 recording.

    For me, if I put the camera in the desk, 4K120 overheats in less than 4 minutes with just the camera, and less than 8 minutes with the screen module. I will try it on my helmet later, hopefully it won't overheat. Hopefully, 4K60 will totally eliminate this problem, and if not, I plan to stick small heatsinks to the camera module. This alone can extend the recording time by 60-90 seconds (just camera, no movement), using the attached double sided tape.
    Even if I can't get rid of this problem, I has to stop very frequently, so I need to take the habit to stop the camera for these times :D (I talk about bicycle ride)
