      Police protects and serves, however they do not protect nor serve the public.
      They protect the system and serve the system.
      A bodyguard protects and serves a person. Actions police officers take are always directed towards a 'perpetrator' and are thus directed towards criminal activities and addressing those instead of the protection of innocents.
      On top of that, most law enforcement officers think of themselves as 'above the law'.

      @pacifist1360 2 ปีที่แล้ว +327

      I edited the comment because I made a mistake about two different officers in relation to the incidents I described below. Ryan Wingo was terrible because he arrested the driver for cussing the officer out. But this stupid cop Ryan Wingo rear ended the driver, so he basically arrested this driver because this cop rear ended the driver and wanted to cover up his ass. Disgusting. Officer Dunn, also an Arkansas State trooper from the Arkansas State Police Department, made a pit maneuver on a driver for "allegedly" speeding. That's because she didn't stop immediately when he started flashing his lights and sirens at her, indicating for her to stop. But she didn't feel safe to pull over straight away because of the fear of ongoing traffic, so she activated her headlights, indicating to the officer that she is slowing down and is preparing to find a safe spot to stop. POS Dunn, who is from the same department as POS Wingo, clearly wasn't eager for that so he pit maneuvered her vehicle, creating a 180 degree crash where the driver ended up being strangled inside her car upside down. These officers are psychopaths and they need to be stopped! The whole department needs to be canned and started from scratch because the thugs who work as Arkansas State Troopers are corrupt to the core. Both pricks are still employed as Arkansas State troopers in their official capacities and haven't been reprimanded.

    I imagine if they filed a complaint and filed a suit immediately he would have gotten fired after they viewed the body camera footage and then been sued successfully. However, considering his PTSD and trauma from the experience I can understand why they wanted to move on.
    However I am glad to see that they decided to pursue a civil suit at least. Better late than never. The more of these videos shared and lawsuits won… the closer we will get to actual accountability in policing.
    If the trooper doesn’t lose his job at the minimum…
