I read a mnemonic about the pinout layouts once, totally forgot most of it but the first line was enough to remember which one is which.
"A is for apple, which sometimes are green" remembering that you could know that TIA/EIA 568A starts with the Green cables. Because Green and Orange are simply swapped on 568 B with the other colors in the same slots as 568A, (with blue in the middle [starting with the solid blue then white/blue,] and brown at the end) it's easy to construct the rest of the pinout. Hope that helps!

my version is the words AGO and BOG. I know that 568A is Green before Orange because it would be AGO instead of AOG. Similarly, for 568B, it would be "BOG - orange before green, because BGO is not a word. Also, one should remember that even numbered pins (2,4,6,8) have solid (no white) colors

I like to use GOBOB for 568A.
    G - green
    O - orange
    B - blue
    O - orange
    B - brown
of course you need to remember that 1,3,5,7 are striped and to remember 568B, just reverse the green and orange.

I think there is a mistake in 5:30. Because If a crossover cable is needed, we use the 568A standard on one end and 568B on the other end.

The 568A and 568B standards refer to the colors used for the different pins. Those standards are not associated with the Ethernet standards and crossover pin outs, and they do not provide a crossover function when connecting to Gigabit Ethernet networks.

It's the difference of connecting a workstation to the internet and connecting a workstation to another workstation. So if you really want a cable connection with somebody else on your subnet you can, although you don't see much of it these days
