These all symptoms I feel. I am suffering from pcod when I was 11 years old now I m 19 years old. I get to know about myself diagnosised and found pcos at the age of 17. But my parents where always not serious about it which I feel. I m very emotional and cries uselessly. Unable to concentrate on studies but I give my best. I don't feel energetic to workout and no one is there to support. I feel like mental. But I try my best to make myself calm and move forward.

Shatabhisha I feel you girl 🤗. I was diagnosed with pcos when I was 12. I couldn't concentrate on school too, and the build up of internal and external stresses were not helping my condition at all and made me more suicidal because I felt so lost and hopeless. I lost all my friends and never left the house in 10 yrs. But lifestyle plays a big part. Start of small hun. You need to figure out what works for you. I found that keto and low carb diet works really well. Exercising for five minutes a day at A high intensity (HIIT) is more beneficial than an hour on the treadmill. Walks, calm music, and praying helps reduce stress. Do something you love for 30mins a day : arts and craft, dancing, walking, talking with someone you love, hugging someone close, (lol, I hug my mum a lot). You've got this girl. One step at a time. You will stumble but as long as you get back on the right path all will be well.

Hi, Tamanna! It takes a lot of strength to open up so thank you for sharing the challenges you are experiencing. Unfortunately a lot of girls with PCOS face such a stigma in our society. Educating ourselves and those around us will go a long way in understanding this disease and seek the necessary professional help to treat it.
Through your channel, the positivity you are spreading in the mental health space is commendable. Keep up the good work and all the very best! 😊

Yes.. I am suffering from PCOS. I used to continuously get depressed from the age of 12. I was a brilliant student and I used to draw, sing, recite , write poems. But I have never got any good friend because they were kinda jealous of me. Whoever was my friend just used me for their study help or any kind of work that I could do for them so that I get to be scold by the teachers. I started feeling suicidal from that time. But none of family actually would give importance to my mental health. They just told me to focus on studies but I was unable to make them understand that I couldn't focus. This continued. A lot of things happened. Some of my teachers... they showed me an amazing example of nepotism or communitism while selecting the captain of the school. I was so depressed.. . Then last year, in November, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Then the doctor told my mom about the psychological problems I could get.
From that moment, my parents started learning the importance of mental health. They even allowed me to have a conversation with a psychologist.
But due to covid.. I can not consult with my therapist. I don't have friends. Every negative thing happened to me has made me an introvert person. I don't feel motivated to do anything. I can not study, draw or sing. But no one is there for understanding me. Often I feel like, why am I alive?
Watching the video, today I realised that I am normal. I am literally crying now. But the saddest part of my story is.. no one is there to understand my difficulties.... especially... psychological difficulties. 🙂

    • @DrShashiRawat
      @DrShashiRawat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hello! Thank you for sharing your story. A lot of girls are going through similar difficulties with PCOS. Having said that, It is a wonderful start that your parents are beginning to give importance to your mental health. You are still the brilliant all-rounder student and your biggest champion. Nobody can take that away from you! Even during the pandemic, there are many psychologists offering online consultations. Please reach out to a professional and that will help. All the very best!

I cry almost every night, Im so depressed. Ive isolated myself form my former life. Its been almost 10 yrs. I feel so alone, Ive lost all my friends and work from home. I just cant build up the effort to put myself back out in the world. Im 27 yrs old. And i struggle everyday. I feel tired and low all the time.
Even though I eat healthy and exercise for months. I see no change. And when i see no change I go back to eating junk food and i gain more weight than before.
But im praying and started the keto diet. Im sleeping a little better now and not as tired as I was before. hopefully this will work. fingers crossed. Im just getting tired of trying so many different things to manage my symptoms. Im exhausted.

Hello! I can completely relate to what you are going through and how challenging some days can be; especially because it is an uphill battle for us. What has immensely helped me in those days is to express myself to a trusted family member or friend without any fear of judgment. In worse times, seeking professional help is hugely beneficial.
The one thing that this pandemic has taught us is to nurture good relationships. So this may be a good time to reach out to dear friends and reconnect.
People's experience with keto diet is quite varied. I am glad that you are seeing positive changes since starting it. Sending you lots of warmth, love and wishing you the best in this journey!

Hello! I can understand the challenges with PCOS and body image issues associated with it. But you don't have to suffer. There are treatments available to control hirsutism but they do take time. In the meanwhile, take one day at a time and work towards better physical and mental health. This may include eating a balanced meal, good sleep, productive work, nurturing good relationships and doing things that bring you joy. Hope this helps!

I diagnosed my pcod when I was 15 . i am 16 now.I am going through stress these days thinking too much all the time happened in recent. And due to that stress I am unable to have enough sleep I have got loss of apetite I frequently feel nausea while eating anything and due to it I am unable to focus on my studies I get very emotional sometimes. I have also diagnosed my fissure and chalazion in my eyes recently . So all these things are giving me too much stress 😖 I don't know what to do. I have lost my interest in every thing that once I used to be very excited for the same like eating watching TV and going outside. One thing that still gives me pleasure and interest is song and singing 🎤.

Glad that this video helped! Unfortunately most people aren't aware of PCOS yet and hence, are unable to provide support as needed. I would urge you to share videos and informative material with your loved ones so they can understand too or even better let them accompany you to a gynaecologist who will explain. As far as pregnancy goes, in our society; I feel it is important to first help a woman feel physically and mentally healthy. This will eventually lead to a healthier pregnancy.

Hello, Meer! I am sorry that you are having to struggle with this. Please have your loved ones watch this video too. Unfortunately, awareness about PCOS is still low in our country. So educating family members is the first step, then consult with a good psychologist alongside a good gynaecologist to get your hormonal levels back in balance. Right now, the reason you feel this way is due to this disease. Once, your base levels of hormones are improved; you will feel better, more energetic and then can have an exercise routine too. Hope this helps!

So after trying alot to change myself I realize that my anger is totally out of my control and if I can't change my aggressive behaviour I should talk less.as I'm already introvert Nowadays I'm not talking with my parents also because even small topic become big argument.but because of these I'm losing my behavioural image into my parents eyes. I'm totally confused. Should I go to any phycologist.

Hello, Anita! I understand and can relate to your issue. Emotional outbursts happen more frequently with PCOS. But my advise is if you are unhappy with your behaviour and it is causing strain in your relationship with loved ones, then you can address that with professional help. Psychologists do have techniques which will help you decode the underlying triggers and guide you towards healthier ways of conflict resolution. We are all evolving and learning constantly so don't feel dejected. You seem to have good awareness already, now take action towards feeling better about yourself. Hope this helps.

Hello, Hansi! I would suggest treatment through 2 ways. One, correcting the hormonal imbalance that is causing the growth of excess body hair and second to opt for laser hair removal treatments for a long term solution.
