As a singer and vocal instructor, I get angry at people who are not honest with their students. As we age, our voices get deeper, that is a fact of life. I was a soprano and am now a mezzo, and I do not pretend to my students that I can still hit that Eb6 anymore. I can show them how to do it, but I am honest about the aging voice. There is no shame in it, unless you try to hide it.

This was what really bothered me when I came across his videos and watched a few 😅 I never saw more because he came across as self absorbed, for lack of better word.

He sings like a plastic mold of what he thinks a real hard rock singer sounds like. He could have been big with an 80's hair metal band. But he probably came off as too weird in the auditions so he never got a chance.
I also don't like it, but he is, technically, on point. Just like (his cousin, he claims), Sammy Hagar. He is "technically impressive", but I hate his sound. But that is just personal taste, to be fair.

@@mathewhutchins2539 he really does have a wonky sound to him lol. like he does have a lot of ''ability'' vocal wise, lots of range n what not, but his tone is just not for me. he's like a studio singer you'd hire to cover like a bunch of 80's rock songs or something
When I first came across his channel..his self-absorbed style rankled me straight away…then I saw him in a segment of various reaction-videos….my negative opinion was fortified. I truly appreciate your contrarian but professional approach in calling out those who should be leading rather than deceiving by example…BRAVO Fil, continue to fight the good fight!
I'm kind of shocked to see Ken exposed like this. I had no particularly bad feeling about him until recently, when he was sh*tting on Steve Lukather's vocal on Rosanna and laughing a lot about it. Not cool.
Ken is Ken's biggest fan. The dude's ego is so out of whack that I find it hilarious that you've exposed him to be a fraud. Thank you, Fil for another great video brother!! You actually have a really great singing voice. You should be the one giving lessons or doing live stream vocals.
Okay so he mixes it up and uses some help... theres no big expose here, cmon man....He's far from being milli vanilli ... lolz ... im sorry I have to add this.... theres alot of fuckin haters in this comment section. Im wondering if that is Fil's specialty... making others look bad so he can push his channel higher on the algorithm. Being asked to "Expose" a guy that has no effect on your life for no real reason (I mean he isn't taking money from orphanages is he.... or little old ladies) is just lazy. we're all adults and can choose to flip off the switch. Dog-pilling on this particular guy only makes you look like jealous bullies.
@MrMonkeyfarmer1 No, it doesn't. This is a guy who not only in a vocal coach. But also calls actual big name artists out for lip Syncing. And now he's doing it. People pay money to him for his vocal school. He should be more honest about what he's doing. Unless you're Ken.
Really? This Guy can’t sing compared to Ken. Ken has a voice like David Coverdale and just because of one video where he lip syncs to a vocal track which he laid down which by the way is extremely high does not make him a bad vocals coach.
@@Desmondbrowne666 Agree, and perhaps we need to start a “Credibility Rating Agency” for live musicians. If they lip sync, then it goes on their “Credibility Report”. Ken would have a lot of negative data on his “Credibility Report” and would have a low “Credibility Score.” 😂
8:34 wait.... he's HOLDING a guitar! Why not just sing it with the guitar and vocal LIVE? Why not just adopt Bill O'Reilly's motto? EFF IT! WE'LL DO IT LIVE! I totally understand the pressure of trying to sing an entire song w/o any mistakes or voice crack or missed pitch but he's literally mimed MOST of his cover tunes, I would claim. Then after singing along to them (which is actually does so there is some effort put into it physically), he'll often go "WHEW! Boy, that was a real workout!" or some such. I mean... it's one thing to mime, another to KEEP PRETENDING after the song is over! Just.... wow.
Wow, Fil, I heard and saw everything you pointed out! What an exceptional analysis video! I am learning to hear what you have been pointing out for many months! What a wonderful teacher you are, Fil! I love learning from you! 💜
To be fair TH-cam sometimes does that 4 the wackiest reasons. My 🐇channel had 2 videos taken down due 2 graphics size. He could have done so deliberately..or TH-cam could've messes with it.
@@IMeMineWhoKen has a history of abusing the copyright claim system to strike videos with negative opinions about him! I wouldn’t be surprised if he did this here.
As a long time fan of Ken and his band Shout... That's definitely the recording of "Living for My Lord" from his 1990 album "An Axe to Grind." I've been listening to it for over 30 years.
Yep. Listened to that CD a ton as a kid and I can't believe he tried to pass off that recording as being live. Wild. What's more amusing is what I guess was supposed to be a warm up to try and establish it as live. crazy.
@robertberman6692 I've been a rock fan since I was little. Been performing live since I was 18 (1992) and I'd never heard of him until TH-cam offered me one of his videos. His ego is off the scale. @@danwarb1 I get that. But overkill IMO. And especially in context with his condescending style. It rubs me the wrong way. My gut didn't like it. And now that he's been exposed essentially IMO as a faker. My gut was not wrong.
@@TheGreekPoet i wouldn't say he's a faker. Sure, he lip-syncs in his "live" performances but we can't deny he has great vocals. He sometimes showcases his vocals in analysis videos or others that aren't his covers and he sounds really great. He has a pretty whiny, nasally voice in his higher register but well, he's a baritone trying to sound like a tenor so no wonder. I'm a baritone also and when I sing high, my larynx goes all the way up and I sound whiny too lol He definitely has chops but he's somehow scared of singing purely live. I don't know, maybe it's due to his age, maybe due to his perfectionism or something.
@@MultiKamil97 I understand your point. And sure, he has voice, can't deny that of course. But really, anyone who lip-syncs is by definition....a faker. Even Michael Jackson, who was obviously a better singer than Ken, lip-synced a lot "live". Just think, to pay to see someone perform only to find out you paid for a recorded performance. A vocal coach should be be setting a better example, IMO. Cheers 🙂
8:20 if you guys are interested, I have the exact figures on how many people reached out to him to ask him to live stream some of his original music. The number rhymes with hero.
Thank you for making this video. The fact that Ken doesn’t sing live in his videos has already been pointed out by others on TH-cam. And yet, he’s still here. The guy is not only a disgrace to all musicians who genuinely share their real knowledge, but some of his advice and techniques are also downright dangerous. I feel sorry for all the students who invest money in his courses
I grew up in Australia as a teenager in the mid 70’s 8n Melbourne seeing AC/DC live so many times with the great Bon Scott. He was never pitch perfect live every time he sang, and matched with the amazing music, that was what we loved as teens seeing our first rock band. It wasn’t miming on a tv show, it was real and gritty and sometimes lyrics were forgotten etc. And it was the realness and rawness of the shows that we absolutely loved even though we had the records. We wanted the genuine sound of the band, and that’s what we got every single time and it was brilliant!!!!
@@SuperStrik9 I’ve only ever seen them once and they were great, but AC/DC were my first ever rock band that I saw live (and after the first concert we went to every single show of theirs) so they will always be special to me, as is Bon! Glad you like Rose Tattoo. Angry is a small man in real life but he seems so much bigger when he sings.
I have watched some of Ken Tamplins videos and he had the audacity to say Stevie Nicks vocals are nowhere near as good as they used to be because she hasn't looked after her voice like he has allegedly. At least she does sing live though. Hypocrite. Well done Fil.
I saw her in February. Not only did she sing live for 2 hours, but she brought out her longtime vocal coach to do Leather and Lace, and she still trains with him. For a vocal coach to critique other singers and not sing live on his on videos, not good at all!
Fil, another excellent video. Had Ken not been doing a live stream on the 2nd song, it would have been a lot more believable. Ken is an embarrassment. Thanks for pointing it out. I know someone asked you to do it, but it's good to see it when it happens and it is definitely cringey. You're going to make us all vocal analysis experts if you're not careful. I'm up for that.
when ALL the mainstream media lies on a daily basis, its hard to expect the peanut gallery to behave in a dissimilar manner. we are in a post-truth society and who are you to question someone who identities as a vocal coach or professional singer?
Personally I believe most of TH-cam cover songs are tampered. Guitarists use multiple camera angles, to hide multiple takes in their solos. (Tons of failed attempts are cut out, they may play hard passages 50 times and combine cleanest takes. When the camera angle switches completely, nobody can tell if it's from the same take or not). They may even overdub bad notes, that didn't ring cleanly. Vocalists do miming. Drum covers = quantized hits. Not necessarily all of the hits (leave some small mistakes in to mask it) but would be super easy to tighten it up. Nobody would notice. Or fixing a few hits here and there, in otherwise perfect take. The temptation would be high, to earn that TH-cam $$$
Thank you. What is disturbing is that he is lying. And he is a vocal coach and he is misstating what he is doing vocally to his students. I have never been much of a fan of Ken Tamplin, and this makes me even less a fan.
NO he isn't. We know exactly what's going on. This is one of his non-teaching videos and he often redoes the visuals to be dorky/ funny and over-the top!! 3:50 that was absolutely heartwrenching seeing Fil's face go from "Oh, sick! He's really belting!" to the immediate realization, then disappointment. Watching a genuine smile falter from being let down will never not be heartbreaking :(
Reminds me of that one episode of Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey. One of the contestants was a cooking/chef instructor and she didn't know Jack about cooking properly. Ramsey called her out.
This attitude is endemic through every industry. E.g., fitness coaches and influencers virtually all take some kind of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). Then they go on about how it's all dedication and hard work-oh, and their various programs, supplements, and powders for sale, of course. Sure, they do put effort into their physiques, however it's impossible to get the same results without taking PEDs yourself. FWIW, I don't care as much about what they take; it's about the lack of honesty and integrity. That's the endemic part. And this is only one example. The times they are a changin'.
@spookym123 No, He's digitally altering his own real vocal and then using that prerecorded, digitally altered track and punching it in and out of his live performance. I think.
7:10 I hear that the REAL singing is clearer and the pre-recorded is a wee bit duller. So many evidences that he's deceived his viewers. :( AND FOR MONEY! That is the worst part. He's' using all of these videos to CONVINCE people to buy his singing course. That's just an entirely different level than me using a pitch shifter to sing a cover song as a $0.00-income hobby on my YT channel and even telling people that's how I did most of those high-ranged tunes I did. Glad you are dissecting this even if it is 15 years later!

I just attended the “Outlaw Tour” at Pine Knob in Michigan. John Mellencamp, Bob Dylan, and Willie Nelson. These Icons were all absolutely 100% live, complete with mistakes and fumbles. And it was BY FAR the best concert I’ve EVER been too! Phil should definitely feature this tour in his analysis. It will restore one’s faith in live music!!!!
I tried Ken’s voice course (I bought for the entire year) because he seemed like he knew what he was talking about and the results sounded great. Within a month of following the course how Ken recommends and not rushing through it, my natural 3 octave vocal range, huge lung capacity, and ability to project diminished and my voice started to get damaged. I had a classically trained opera singer as my vocal coach in college years before using Ken’s lessons and I had an extremely knowledgeable UF music major grad as my vocal coach years after I took Ken’s lessons and they were phenomenal. I had to disregard everything Ken said and break all the bad habits I picked up because of him or else my singing voice would’ve been permanently damaged. Disclaimer: I used his teaching videos he sells on his website and this disclosure of my negative experience with his product is a review. I’m glad not everyone had my experience but please do your research before buying vocal lessons materials or booking time with a vocal coach.
Hi Fil! That was an incredible analysis! I saw and heard what you showed and explained in this video. Why do singers mime or lip sync and not sing naturally? BTW, Congrats on getting 415k subscribers! Rock!
Good analysis, you can definitely hear the difference between the live vocals and what’s being mimed. This is the first time I’ve heard of this vocal coach, but I really don’t like when people position themselves as educators/coaches/teachers and then are dishonest and deceitful!
Whoa. Even with the speakers of my phones, it’s easy to notice the difference between his live voice, as recorded in the room, and something that looks like is coming out of a speaker in the room.
I first knew years ago there was something very shady about him. He always has bad things to say about great singers. Because of that I researched him. This was years ago. I got an exact timeline of his career. So I asked him a few questions. He made up an entire history of where, how and what is musical background was. All bs. I called him on it,and he took the time to write me a reply so long rebuffing what I said. If it wasn't true he would have just not replied. I finally got him to admit a few lies. He's pathetic on so many levels . Great work! Finally someone who's qualified, exposed him
I´ve been around for somteimes. Tamplin quite a few years ago had a contorversy with Tristan Paredes, they made reaction videos about each others accusing each other for all sort of things. It ended with Tamplin sued Tristan, they come to some sort of agreement deleting all controversy videos.
Well, Bowie never was the greatest singer in the world but he has some iconic music. He's always worked with the voice he had and worked within his vocal capabilities very well (and never tried to fool people, unlike Mr. Tamplin here).

Glad I’m not the only one thinking that. I commented earlier that I just can’t watch him sing. I just can’t take him seriously and I PRAY no singers trying to learn their craft have picked up that HORRIBLE habit
Thank you. I thought I was the only one that thinks his tongue is icky. Add this video with the constant hair flip and I can't stand to watch this poser.
After watching one of KT videos I was walking around the house singing with my tongue sticking out brushing my invisible hair from my face, I was definitely cracking myself up 🤣
The sad part is always that they are not honest. When you are a golf player, you practise all your life to hold your top performance. Otherwise, you will drop down in your rank. In a competition, you can not bring a copy of your best move and then tell your opponant you won the game because you once were a good player. In music, it seems widely accepted to bring old or manipulated performances and pretend to be the one doing it at this very moment. If that is what it means to do a live concert, then I could also listen to it at home. The music will sound the same.
@mikeb7379 my apologies. As a non-native speaker, I couldn't find the word for the term when you "beat the ball with the beater and it rolls into the hole". That would be the literal translation from German into English and probably even more confusing than "the move" where the ball rolls into the hole. So, I went for "the move". I hope it is still understandable.
This is why I'll never understand people who give singers a hard time for not sounding as great as possible live. You have an official recorded version - and you have the live version. Enjoy both - stop wanting to hear live performances as good as a recording - they are supposed to be different!
3:29 when has Ken ever done more than 1 song live? I don't think HE would last more than 3 songs on any of these tenor range songs that have distortion qualities to them. Now that I think of it, I've NEVER seen Ken in a live situation in a video! This will be interesting....
Thanks for this. I saw a comment about him under one of your recent videos and had a look at one or two of his cover videos. It seemed to me that he was miming. It's a shame really, as with his 'live' stream, his voice sounded pretty good to me on the 'yeah' thing he actually sung live at the beginning. It had much more life to it than the pre-recorded vocal.
Wow and Ken charges people to teach them to sing and he judges how other singers sing their songs. He seems to go after Rob Halford from Judas Priest alot, i think he's kind of jealous of Rob. He also goes on how he's a Christian, well being a Christian he shouldn't be lying about his vocal ability and saying he's all live when he's not. Voice teachers should not be lying to people , whether they are Christian or not lying is not a good look and gives him no right to judge anyone else's vocal abilities. If he can't do the high notes anymore then he should just say so. But since he has made a youtube career out of judging others he has to look perfect everytime, sad really
@@chrism2964 That could definitely be part of the reason because in one of his things on how to sing like Rob Halford he says how he did a version of singing Painkiller more in his chest voice because it seemed more manly, and harder to do ,which i'm not using an exact quote there but that was the jist of what he meant. Rob would do vocal gymnastics around him all day and Ken could never come close. Rob is 72 yrs old and he is still killin it and is so humble, while Ken thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread and knows exactly what people need to do to keep their voices. Obviously not if he's voice tracking vocals on the high notes and pretending he's live, it's a sham and nobody should be going to that man for vocal advice. but honestly listen to a couple of Ken's videos on Rob you will see what i am saying, he's very judgy on others as well almost condescending towards them.
I'm a subscriber and I wanted to know if you've done any videos of Chris Isaac? Your integrity is incredibly powerful and honest. Keep showing us the truth. You're a rare gem of a talent.
At 11:14 = Vocals are 100% studio, since they are doubled and there's a reverb/delay combo with a very short decay on them, both things totally absent from the "intro" portion of the vocals.
The change in reverb from live to prerecorded is all the proof I need. If the two recording were made in the same time and place they would have the same reverb.
I've seen a few of Tamplin's videos over the years but never followed him closely, so I don't know much about him. What a great analysis. Just hearing the fade-out on that isolated vocal track tells you everything you need to know.
I do .....and always have and will continue to do- as an Artist and a human, who never will let anyone tell me what to do lol..accepts the demand you make with pleasure.....a long time ago :) ..and YOU ARE 100% correct. have a wonderful week. 😊
except people don't like that. People are used to polished pop music and even slight variations from the correct pitch bother people now. Tested that extensively myself and I have friends from different cultures used to different music. Middle eastern friends won't react at all to notes a bit off, like they legit don't notice. But western people used to pop music will hear a note 10cents off and complain "oof that was off". And well...nobody can sing SO perfectly on pitch all the time to please western audience so...melodyne is just the standard. You HAVE to use it.
And since technology has made possible virtual presentations on stage, it’s now possible to give an entire concert without being present. Finally, performers can stay home in their pajamas and rake in the money. Heck, if they want to, they can attend their own concerts as a fan in the audience! 😂
Here's the very serious problem I see: Ken specifically markets himself as a coach who can teach safe rock-style high belting, and yet clearly he can't do it safely, or HE WOULD JUST DO IT. Professional metal singers like Dio or Eric Adams managed to sing night-after-night well into their late 60s (72 and still trucking in Eric Adams' case), so it is entirely possible to do this safely. But Ken is actively and knowingly deceiving his students into damaging their voices by copying techniques that he MUST KNOW are unsustainable! AND I suspect that is why he lip syncs to his own recordings from 4-5+ years ago, to mask the irreparable damage he's already done to his own voice.
Hi there , do you know any online vocal coaches who are genuinely good and on the level? I have been doing Ken’s vocal training for some time now, but now I’m a little concerned, having read your comment.
@wilsonbrownofficial2828 Sadly, it is very hard to find a verifiably good vocal coach online these days. The safest option is to find someone in your local area, because in-person you can always trust that what you're hearing is real. Even better if they have been teaching for many years, proving they can sustain their voices! I have no doubt Ken was genuinely able to sing those notes when he was younger, it doesn't sound like he was using autotune in the clips Fil analyzed here. BUT, anybody who tries to sing like that will discover it won't work for a whole career.
@@wilsonbrownofficial2828 I've watched content from a ton of vocal coaches. From an outsider's perspective, the few I've come across who: 1. Have demonstrated an extensive knowledge base derived from formal (often operatic), training - and - 2. Have demonstrated their personal skillset as singers ...are not that many. Off the top of my head,: - Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice - literally a world-class, formally trained operatic soprano who reacts to genres she's not familiar with & seems to genuinely respect vocal skills that are different and less, "correct," than her training - The Fairy Voice Mother - I'm not certain about her educational background (I believe she has a Master's in voice, but not positive), but it's evident she has a lot of formal training & she actually sings live examples to demonstrate what she's explaining - Sam Johnson - Formally trained in musical theatre & performance, also sings to demonstrate occasionally - Tara Simon - mainly a Pop vocalist who's appeared on a well-known televised talent show - less technical in her explanations, but seems well-suited for beginners & intermediate-level aspiring vocalists There are several others I've watched who do seem to know what they're talking about, but the four I named (especially the first three), seem to have a firm grounding in human vocal anatomy along with a thorough understanding of classical technique & how to explain the two. Also, personality-wise, they're the most encouraging, kind-hearted & open-minded vocal coaches I've seen on YT. I've come across several who seem to know anatomy & healthy technique, but their personality seems better suited to a lecture hall than a TH-cam video aimed at people with varying levels of skill & education. There also seems to be a glut of, "vocal coaches," who seem more interested in pushing paid lessons than providing actual analysis. Personally, I really appreciate vocal teachers/coaches who evaluate what they see & hear from singers, rather than just repeating the same do's & don'ts that opera maestros have been insisting on for centuries. It makes more sense to me to talk about technique & anatomy in light of healthy/unhealthy rather than proper/improper. It may just be me, but when a top-tier classically trained opera singer can say - it's not how I was taught, but it works for the song & doesn't seem unhealthy or damaging to the voice - that's my sweet spot for good instruction. Plus, it helps that Elizabeth & The Fairy Voice Mother, in particular, regularly demonstrate that they're still moved & impressed by all sorts of vocals, from Screamo to beat boxing, they don't look down on other singers because of biases around genre or level of formal training.
@@timkaye I REALLY recommend checking out, "The Fairy Voice Mother," (Lolli Wren). If you picture a UK version of Elizabeth - quirky & dorky, enthusiastic & charming, scholarly & informative - you'll get it. She's similarly new to a number of genres & iconic songs, so there's also that same thrill of seeing someone with that skill set & love of music discover a song for the first time.
05:18 -but dont forget that there are some audio/video synchrone issues inside TH-cam its own. I upload something the synchrone is just not there, it s sliding
This is only thing I wish wings would mention at times, you can’t rely on video to prove a point as there may be sync issues. No doubt tamplin meant to do that to hide the lip synching though, he’s a fraud. The hair playing is to try hide the fake singing too.

Another excellent job! Partial live vocals🤔 Years ago when watching concert videos of Led Zeppelin I was first disappointed at how the great Robert Plant would change some of the higher melody lines. But rethinking it figured hey, they do 3hr shows on tour - not reasonable to push the upper registers so hard so often. And still so musical! Thanks to Fil for hitting that mix of accuracy, honesty and graciousness.
Thanks for exposing Tamplin, Fil. I was sucked into his videos a few years back and thought he was very good. I started to become suspicious after a while, and started making comments under his videos suggesting he may be miming. All my comments were quickly deleted. I remember another vocal coach accusing Tamplin of miming in the first video you showed, Tamplin then threatened him with legal action. I wouldn't have thought lying to his viewers and “students” is a very Christian thing to do. He’s apparently the cousin of Sammy Hagar, and probably has always been envious of Hagers success, and thought this was his way of making a name for himself. What a charlatan. Great work, Phil.

He is simply shouting with no finesse, but then using a few techniques to try and cover up that he’s simply shouting. It doesn’t make a singer.
Agee. The intense nasality is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

We wanted the genuine sound of the band, and that’s what we got every single time and it was brilliant!!!!

when ALL the mainstream media lies on a daily basis, its hard to expect the peanut gallery to behave in a dissimilar manner.
we are in a post-truth society and who are you to question someone who identities as a vocal coach or professional singer?
It's such a lonely word

Reminds me of that one episode of Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey. One of the contestants was a cooking/chef instructor and she didn't know Jack about cooking properly. Ramsey called her out.
Maybe that is what he teaches as a vocal coach.
So he's faking his own real vocals?
This attitude is endemic through every industry. E.g., fitness coaches and influencers virtually all take some kind of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). Then they go on about how it's all dedication and hard work-oh, and their various programs, supplements, and powders for sale, of course. Sure, they do put effort into their physiques, however it's impossible to get the same results without taking PEDs yourself.
FWIW, I don't care as much about what they take; it's about the lack of honesty and integrity. That's the endemic part. And this is only one example.

I've waited my whole life to find someone else who notices these things and can hear them when it seems others can't. 😂❤
Well Rob is gay, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
@@chrism2964 I wouldn't place any bets on which team Ken plays for either.
And he does say.
"The proof is in the singing." So do it then.
@@bobbycollins6783 Yes he does say that on every video, good catch.
On track Fil. Truth rules!
Great video as usual, Phil. Love your content.
Oh yes! Not watched yet but I've been convinced this guy has been miming almost since he started. Can't wait to hear your opinion
I'm a subscriber and I wanted to know if you've done any videos of Chris Isaac? Your integrity is incredibly powerful and honest. Keep showing us the truth. You're a rare gem of a talent.
He did one, and the production company appears to have pitch corrected Chris’s vocal track.
After you said he wasnt hitting the strings, i watched and almost fell off my chair!!
i remember pointing this out on one of his videos like 10 years ago. he deleted the comment back then lol. glad to see others can tell too
Karma.
He did the same to me, Ken is a Hypocritic for sure!
At least he just deleted yours, I got 4 paragraphs of straight up abuse.
I had the same suspicion but never had the objectivity to prove it, thank you Phil!
I could hear it right away, what voice came from his direction, his mouth and what voice came from off screen. It was clear as day to me.
That was funny , thanks I needed this. I love your videos. 😂
@@ElioSpinello yes I agree he is not lip sycing
@@celiahallhall9225 Just hearing the fade-out is an indication that he absolutely *was* lip syncing
Thanks Fil for another great breakdown!
this video is so good and so thorough!
Artists: please just sing and let your audience hear your talent. No need to mime, lip sync, or patch together an artificial performance.
I do .....and always have and will continue to do- as an Artist and a human, who never will let anyone tell me what to do lol..accepts the demand you make with pleasure.....a long time ago :) ..and YOU ARE 100% correct. have a wonderful week. 😊
Too late for this to change. When at a concert or watching a video we can have no idea who is singing and who isn't.
except people don't like that. You HAVE to use it.
you'd think the whole ashley simpson tanking woulda taught the imbeciles?
Or if you're going to do it, at least make it CLEAR so everyone knows what they're paying for!
Performers are going to start putting a label on their videos: "Available to everyone but Fil".
Underrated.
Except The Who, they’re not doing this garbage
And since technology has made possible virtual presentations on stage, it’s now possible to give an entire concert without being present. Finally, performers can stay home in their pajamas and rake in the money. Heck, if they want to, they can attend their own concerts as a fan in the audience! 😂
I think the synchronization of Taylor Swift’s various concerts lends itself to being an entirely virtual concert!
From an outsider's perspective, the few I've come across who:
1. Have demonstrated an extensive knowledge base derived from formal (often operatic), training - and -
2. Have demonstrated their personal skillset as singers
...are not that many.
Off the top of my head,:
- Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice - literally a world-class, formally trained operatic soprano who reacts to genres she's not familiar with & seems to genuinely respect vocal skills that are different and less, "correct," than her training
- The Fairy Voice Mother - I'm not certain about her educational background (I believe she has a Master's in voice, but not positive), but it's evident she has a lot of formal training & she actually sings live examples to demonstrate what she's explaining
- Sam Johnson - Formally trained in musical theatre & performance, also sings to demonstrate occasionally
- Tara Simon - mainly a Pop vocalist who's appeared on a well-known televised talent show - less technical in her explanations, but seems well-suited for beginners & intermediate-level aspiring vocalists
There are several others I've watched who do seem to know what they're talking about, but the four I named (especially the first three), seem to have a firm grounding in human vocal anatomy along with a thorough understanding of classical technique & how to explain the two.
@@goreyfantod5213 I don't know the others, but completely agree about Elizabeth.
At this point we are going to need to get Fil 24hr security.
The sad thing is Ken can sing, really sing.
And possibly a good lawyer, the music moguls have too many. Keep on telling the truth Fil 👍
Lol!
Yea im a bit disappointed to be honest.. i know ken is legit tho
You mean Fil Fakery Virus Defender 2.0?
@@swedensbestrapper I mean sorta legit. He can't hit the high notes he could earlier in his career. So he shouldn't lip sync
@heresjohnny999 oh , The hair tricks, right!
I listen to a lot of music and can tell when the sound changes from "natural" to not alive enough. These sessions with all your analysis and expertise help me to know how its done. I find that interesting and educational when I recommend music to others.
8:22 YES! Fil rolls his eyes, finally!!!! What irony that his tag line is in direct conflict with the evidence!!!! The PROOF is in the miming!
Are you coming back, TruthSurge? Miss ya, brother.
Impressive! The vocal coach should take up ventriloquism!
And at least Robert SANG each line and didn't lip sync them.
'Sammy _Hagar_ '
I remember that guy who used to call out Ken, but then Ken sued him for defamation, and his channel was shutdown. Turns out he was telling the truth all along.
@@Durwood71 Yeah, that’s the one. Fortunatly, I found his videos again and he’s still exposing Tamplin, lol. His channel is Marc Ajax.
HAHAHA He threatened legal action because he can prove he's not doing what this stupid video accuses him of doing. Watch, this idiot is next to be sued for defamation or slander or whichever applies. Hahahaa
