    If you're new here, please say hello in the comments. If you have any questions let me know and I will answer them the best I can.

      If you’re going for a two day hike/ camp. Then there is free parking at the base of mam Tor. Near blue johns cavern. You can trek across the lords seat and end up on Kinder Scout pretty easily. Then you have the choice of areas to camp on the NW side or the South side. Then for day two you could easily walk around Kinder for another camp or go elsewhere. Up to you really. So glad you loved it.

    Hello mate,
    New here , have to say it's a great video. Is that llegal to do a wild comping in England? If so, could you shar that location 🙏 ?
    Thought you can ONLY do that in Scotland .
    Please let me know , cuz we're 4 people so have a bigger tent . Will appreciate your input .

    • @jamieoutdoors
      @jamieoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, so wild camping is technically not allowed in England. But I’d say it’s highly tolerated in some areas. This was in the Peak District on top of Kinder Scout. The main thing is to just set up late, leave no trace and not to set fires. A four man tent probably isn’t going to be the best for wild camping. I’d opt for two 2 person tents.
      Also, don’t camp on farmland would be my top tip.
      Wild camping for me is just about being respectful of others, your surroundings and having fun. As long as I’m doing all of those things I can’t see why someone would have a problem with it.
      There are also tonnes of videos about if wild camping in legal in the UK. Paul messner has a good video on it. Have a watch and if you’ve got any messages, let me know.

      The car park in Edale is good for cars. But not campers or vans. I think it’s £6 over night and has CCTV if you’re worried about leaving your vehicle. The location is near Grindslow Knoll. But the camp largely depends on wind direction

    • @jamieoutdoors
      @jamieoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t done any two nights camps in that area before. So I’m not sure how much water you’d need. If you end up on Kinder Scout providing it’s rained recently there are a few streams leading off from the top. Have you done a one nighter before? I usually take 2-3l on a one nighter if I intend to hike for a whole days worth/make dinner/make coffee.
