Loved your thoughts on the simplicity of camping. My first solo wild camp was purely inspired to have an instant coffee in the morning sitting in the grass. One of the most complete moments I’ve ever felt.
Hey Liam, as a person who find life stressful thankyou for making these videos and reminding me there is more to life than what shows. Keep uploading these videos you enjoy making!
Dont waste your life stressing ( I know that's easier said than done ). Live & enjoy your life. Were not here for long, dont waste time worrying. You will regret it when your older :)
try and get out there yourself my friend .I too was struggling with depression struggling to find peace in my head . Liam and a few other youtubers had such a impact on me . I went to the bank borrowed 5k bought everything one would need to stay out in our beautiful country for days at a time. the most I've stayed out is 5 days and I love it I'm know going to buy a van ready to hit Europe in next 12 month's.you don't need to spend a fortune, buy second hand ,shop sales.just get yourself out in the open bro and start living.all the best my friend.
Wonderful! I Love seeing camping in the UK through your eyes/narration. So different compared to my home in Washington State USA. The Peak District is fantastic- so desolate yet hauntingly beautiful The joys of being off grid are universal 🤩
hi bro, I'm new to your channel . I normally do wild camping, I've just spent 5 days in the Peak District and it was breath taking and surprisingly warm although the wind on the peaks was really bad anyway you've inspired me to sell my car and buy a van which I'm really excited about so nice one bro, take care .
This was the first video I watched of yours, and now I can't stop watching them lol I'm currently getting my solo wild camping bits together with what I can afford each month. Love your outlook on life and adventures. Thanks. Keep it up
After watching a few of your videos I decided to go on my own adventures and honestly it’s been such an amazing feeling. Just wanna say thank you for inspiring me
Been following you for the past month now and love the content. Noticed you were in the Army and have now left to experience more in life! I’m coming to the end of my time in the Navy now and can’t wait to get out there and do more stuff like this. Hoping to also film what journey I go on when I’ve left also 🤙
i like minestrone soup, sainsburys new one is ace 60p plus tin of mackerel 70p in it and youve got a good cheap meal, organic porridge for breakfast with walnuts and dried prunes..happily live on that..my only problem is being able to sleep in a tent..
I used to work out by Buxton doing shift work, some of the best views I've ever seen commuting to and from Sheffield before and after shifts, I will say pretty much autumn through spring its foggy of a morning up on the tops
I have been vegan for 10 years now and still not read that book yet I have a signed copy just sitting on my bookshelf. Enjoyed the Vid, thanks for motivation checked the weather and should be out wild camping somewhere on the 28/29 straight after work.
Stunning mate. Try 'Taylors of Harrogate' coffee bags. They sell them in most supermarkets. Just add water for a proper roasted coffee. Then give us your verdict on your next adventure.
Liam, Area I've walked for 35 years ,the border of Cheshire and Derbyshire .Views over to Cheshire in a sun set are wow ,then the view of Shutlingsloe or the Matterhorn of Cheshire to die for .Thanks
This place reminds me of the Mojave desert. I remember when I went out to the Mojave desert in California watching the sunset out in the middle of nowhere and I remember feeling so sad because I realized how many people really don't even like me mostly the friends and family that have treated me like garbage my whole life it's the best way to step back from everyone it's kind of like therapy you can kind of cry a little bit and recover from some emotional pain that's my experience with going into the middle of nowhere and watching sunsets
G'Day Liam. Mate I've got to say you've eradicated the general you tube perceptions that the UK is nothing but a law buggered place that any where you camp you'll get the boot either from the law or some one claiming your breaking it. Mate I'm new to your channel (subscribed). 1st following your walk the full length of the UK and how you camped in so many places and didn't get the boot and showed a side of pommieland that we normally don't see or experience. Good stuff mate, 10 out of 10. This video also opens up the same situation by where you camped with no probs. Mate I'm sold. As soon as all this Covid crap has cleared and the pollies have lost the advantage to control us all, I'm gunna head over. Of course it'll need to be summer, in any event I really enjoy your travels and your attitude on life in general mate - that is enjoying it.
Bit like a poem celebrating the outdoors, sunsets, wild camping and the Peak District.I enjoyed the food,a tiny bit spicy, the ginger and garlic a touch genius.Lovely romantic ending. I wonder if you enjoyed the book.
Amazing video mate i live in Chesterfield like 2 miles or less from the peak district all my teen years we used to go camping and sometimes off campsite wildcamps...i am craving this now but your video actually reminded me of that feeling and even though i wasn't there something inside me felt better for watching it
It’s 9.30pm here and I can’t believe I’m eating my dinner at the kitchen table,iPad and headphones. The wife in the sitting room and I’m watching Liam eating his dinner at the same time freezing his balls off 😂 love from Ireland 🇮🇪 Andrew. Keep up the great videos
Refreshing to see someone just getting out and enjoying wild camping. Loving the ethic of 'if it's not broke, don't fix it'. Too many bods obsessed with brands and gear. Nice one buddy
Ace video Liam, they're gettin better each time! Off to do my first hike/wild camp of the new year next weekend, up in the Lake District, it's been a few months since the last so can't wait man! Escape the rat race. Did the Peak District last time up near Kinder Scout, the highest point of East Mids ⛰️.
Great Points Liam - we all tend to unwind by either a TV on or looking at phones, thats not unwindin, our brakns need to switch off and nothing better than to get outside and walk in the hills......
I've got a couple of the Mil-tec 1 man recom tents and love them, bomb proof with loads of space. Just prefer tents with a bit more head room these days. Great video👍
Another great video Liam! Welcome to the Peak District. You make sleeping in the wild look so relaxing! 11 hours sleep! 😴😁 Your sound quality on the video is amazing BTW. 🔊👌🏻👏🏻
I’ve never done wild camping in my life and I’m 55 yrs old! This has inspired me to get out there and give it a go! I’ve read that wild camping in England is illegal unless you have the landowners permission so wondering how does it work in the Peak District
it’s quite a grey area, just use your common sense when picking a spot to camp and leave if you’re asked to. it’s best to just try and go somewhat undetected
It is technically illegal. But as long as you're respectful of the land, leave no mess behind, generally camp out of sight, set up camp late and pack up early, then you'll be absolutely fine. You should definitely give it a go!
nice to have you back mate havn,t seen any of your video,s for a while but that might be me other wise ingaged because just got myself one of those elecric scooters and it does about 30 mph so im going to use that mate to get out wild camping again went on my first wild camp the day before new years eve i think i just wanted to get away from people liam and i stayed out camping on ash hurst beacon in west lanishire and its only 30 mins from my house and i ended up staying out for 3 days and 3 nights hows that for 1st time camping. we don,t do things by half,s us who come from liverpool lol anyway now i have my e scooter im gunna get out again very soon mate because it was you who got me into wild camping when i saw you walk the lenth of the uk so just want to say welcome back bro.
I live fairly near Dartmoor and there are some beautiful places to wild camp. Cracking sunsets and in places you can see out over the sea. You're probably aware that some places on Dartmoor allow wild camping and some don't but I reckon you won't have an issue anywhere with the way you're doing it. Nice going, mate. I respect your ethics. If you need anything while you're in the area then let me know. Shower, charge up your gear or whatever. Genuine offer.
Its nice to hear someone who loves his country and appreciates the natural beauty. Good on ya Liam. I have more gripes than compliments about Australia at the moment but I hope to go camping soon. We are getting hit by covid so hard at the moment so they might restrict our movement again soon
Awesome camp that mate. Enjoyed watching your video. This is my part of the world. I recognised the landscape 😉. A really peaceful area up there. You're right it's the small simple things in life such as a great sunset/sunrise, a good book, a nice sleep and a good coffee... All the simple pleasures. ATB Liam. Keep them coming. Dan 👍
Local walk to us, and a stunning spot. I stopped and made a coffee right where you made camp a few weeks ago. Never did find the mug when I got home - convinced I left it there. So if you found a Regatta carabena mug, oops!! Next time you're up there, follow that straight path down and back up the hill - the view from the top is mega.
@@Mike-jx2uj coming up from Errwood car park, the path reaches a gated fork where it either carries on to the Cat & Fiddle road, or forks off towards Shining Tor trig.
Gey yourself over here to New Hampshire mate - minus 21 Celsius and the wind chill takes it to 30 below! But it is really dry too. Don’t think I will be doing any wild camping for a while!
Very interesting channel and videos! They truly share the beauty of trekking/hiking/camping. And plus, you seem indeed an easy-going and down to earth guy🌍 ^^
