I agree with you it so made my heart swell with joy 😊 I never knew the process. I love Elder Eyring. I'm 40+ years off my mission and never heard or took notice of the process 🤔... grateful.... responding all the way from NZ.....
Do they really do this with a picture of every missionary? That seems a rather large task considering how may there. Honestly I thought it was all computer generated. I know with my daughter we asked for her to be state side and that request was granted. We just didn't know where in the state she was going.
A great observation indeed. One thing I’ve heard of people who spend much time with the twelve apostles and the prophet, is that even though they all have different personalities, they also share one trait in common: Personal Love When you talk to them, they make you feel like you’re the most important person in the room. As someone who works in Advertising, I’ve spent a lot of time around celebrities…and it probably doesn’t surprise you that Personal Love is not always a trait among celebrities, but it is common among servants of the Lord. I guess it’s like Jesus Christ has always said, “By their fruits ye shall know them.” Thank you for your comment T Dubs, we appreciate your perspective.
@@MissionaryUniverse then it’s matching existing openings with files asking to be matched. OMG. It’s not just have a file, praying and randomly picking a place and purpose amongst 400. Then you would have too many for Seattle for a not enough for Paris if it was out of inspiration alone.
@@MissionaryUniverse I first heard about it on this podcast. And I heard part of an interview with Patrick Mason and he confirmed it. Patrick Mason seems really brilliant and faithful. He's a good source for information. th-cam.com/video/OrMEN58NwoY/w-d-xo.html
Since much of the membership is outside the U.S. many youth could not possible afford this experience among them, or they have military conscription duties as well as education and training expected of them. Few is a relative term. Do you mean few overall? Few from the U.S.? I think if families got back to having 4-6 kids membership would increase naturally more than trying for converts. Not everyone putting in papers is allowed. There might be a health issue or something. It’s kind of a dirty trick making them sing about it weekly from age 3 and saving for it since age 5 and then be told no.
Needed this! As my papers are in right now!🙌

Me too😂
YES!!! This is one of my favorite talks! So much goodness in it.

I feel so honored to have a Father who raises up righteous men and women, who lead and guide me in great ways and means!!!
That is so awesome! I feel the same way.
Thanks for sharing! My sister is in Brazil for her mission

like a corporation, worth over $ 150 B, they make decisions on resource planning where headcount is needed and then they make you pay to work for them
Do not value your assumptions above this man’s personal experience.
John 21:11 - …and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

Please tell me that I am not the only one who believes that this is so not the case.
Well, for Elder Rasband, this was the case. This was the actual experience he had.
And I advise against valuing your assumptions over his experience.
They have to match openings with candidates. I’m sure they pray first.
In the video he states Elder Eyring had the mission needs up while selection was going on.

Which god?
Jesus Christ personally leads and guides this church.
I've heard very few LDS youth are serving missions now and half come home early. Is that true?
I haven’t heard that, do you have a source?

never heard that...
@@JB-el1el I included a link to the interview with Patrick Mason. Take a look.
