I have been a member my entire life. I served in France and Belgium for 30 months and loved being in the service of Christ. The additional 6 months was to better learn the language. At that time there was no language training. Being from Canada, I had French language during three years of high school, and was blessed to become proficient once I had several months under my belt on site in France. I am now almost 78 yrs of age. Together with my wife, we served at the historic site in Wyoming known as Martin's Cove where so many suffered and died in 1856.Our experience there (six months in 2016 and again for six months in 2017) was never to be forgotten! Their faith and sacrifice as converts from the U.K. and from Scandinavian nations was such an exemplary test of their faith. I remember teaching in the visitor center the following words from "Come, Come Ye Saints" "And should we die before our journey's through, happy day, all is well. We then are free from toil and sorrow too, with the just we will dwell". Truly life-changing for my wife and for myself! Will never forget singing the trek anthem "Here we stand on hallowed ground, can you feel them all around as we stand on hallowed ground".

Being a missionary is a great responsibility! The missionary must have great energy, fortitude, and courage. Wherever the missionary goes, no matter what part of the world he or she is in, he or she must spread the Word. Locals must understand what the missionary is telling them. The missionary must get the Word right! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is going on a mission or preparing for one, I would like to recommend a very good workshop by Yury Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes: Practical Tips for Learning Foreign Language. This wonderful book will give you answers how to properly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book gives answers to many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. I wish you good luck in your important work!

My daughter who is turning 19 on March had submitted already her missionary application. She just entered BYU-Hawaii when Prophet Monson announced the called and she responded the call. I am excited for her.

How I love these missionaries. I had the high honor of associating with many of these young people while we attempted to learn (and love) Science at Oly Jr. My prayer is that they remembered one lesson: +E ... which I can now add includes not being weary of the Lord's correction (Proverbs 3:11) and enjoying the HUGE blessings of trusting in the Lord (completely). Now that I know what you are up to, I can add my prayers to so many others for your success. Love you! Mrs. White

I am now serving as the Relief Society President in my branch and I look to the young missionaries to continue to contact my children and grandchildren in hope and prayer of them embracing the gospel. My children live in Arizona and Florida, so those of you who will be in U.S. missions, remember: you can make such a difference to so many.

Singapore! I'm glad to see someone from this video receive a call for the Singapore Mission! It has since become one of my own favorite places.

Wow! After watching this video, my tears came down rushing. I'm happy for them, I know what it feels like. I got excited, 3 years left then I'm going to experience "tears of joy". This is so inspiring! :)

This is beautiful. What an amazing opportunity these young men and young women have, but what an amazing blessing they will be to thousands of the people they are about to serve. I'm really excited to see this happening.

Terrific video. Thank you! Best three decisions of my life: Learning about the Church when I was 16 and being baptized, choosing to serve a mission, and marrying in the temple (she served a mission too). See Alma 26:8.

You know, I want to serve a mission even more now! I still have about 3 years to go and I wish there were this many people in my high school in Oklahoma to make a video like this. I would love to follow in the footsteps of these youth that are going to learn what it is to truly love and serve people. I'm soooo excited that they moved the age back!
